Fitzroy "Fitz" Ian Wendel.
ORIGINS
Fitzroy Ian Wendell or "Fitz" as most like to call him was born on the 13th of November on the isle of Hysteria. his parents Geraldine and Alphonse Outsiders and traders who made a living selling goods across the isles. eventually they settled down in hysteria and had their only child naming him Fitz. for Fitz growing up in hysteria meant allot of anti dragon education. though he frequently went on voyages with his parents which reduced his exposure he grew up thinking that dragons were simply mindless beasts. his image of them changed when he met a juvenile Vile Dream fang that would later come to be known as Alabaster. he met Alabaster at the age of 19 when his parents moored their ship off a small island to forage for rare plants. on the second day of their stay Fitz witnessed Alabaster steal several pouches of medicine from their ship. Fitz saw this event as an opportunity for profit (and glory) if he managed to kill the dragon. tailing the dragon all the way back to its lair he found that it was nursing another sick Dream fang back to health. eventually Fitz set his sight on the injured dragon (after all a dragon is a dragon) attacking it when Alabaster left, he managed to break off one of its fangs and severely wound it. midway through the fight Alabaster returned and the two dragons did something surprising. they began to use tactics Alabaster fighting Fitz head on while the injured dragon attempted to attack from behind. things started to look grim for Fitz however Alphonse and Geraldine stepped in last minute causing the two dragons to flee. but not before leaving behind a pair of dear carcasses and trinkets.
Fitz eventually became very curious about the dragons not only did they display tactics during his fight with them but for some reason they left behind valuable items. the next day again Alabaster stole several medicine pouches but Fitz's parents prevented him from perusing the dragon. later Alabaster returned, again producing carcasses. it was then that Fits realized. it was paying for the medicine. he became very interested in the pair and resolved to learn more about them after all it couldnt be a mindless beast if it knew how to trade things. he began to observe them, at first from a distance and then starting to interact with them Alabaster in particular appeared to mimic Fitz. eventually over a period of time a strange relationship began to form. the two dragons began to grow less wary of Fitz and to a certain degree accepted him (though they lowered return payments whenever Fitz delivered medicine) however the injured dragons condition worsened and Fitz's parents were finding less and less goods each day, they had little reason to stay much longer. eventually Alphonse and Geraldine decided to set sail. Fitz went to say goodbye to his strange friends but found that the injured dragon had perished and that Alabaster was gone.
Eventually Fitz returned to the ship only to find Alabaster waiting on the shore. after apologizing and saying goodbye Fitz attempted to board the ship only to be stopped by Alabaster. after a bit of struggling and trickery eventually Fitz managed to board his families ship only for Alabaster to do the exact same thing. the two of them were at a stand still Fitz didn't want to hurt Alabaster but Alabaster was intent on staying with Fitz (later Fitz would theorize that Alabaster had "claimed" him in return for his friends life) eventually Fitz and his parent's were forced to let Alabaster stay on their ship hoping that sooner or later he would leave, he didn't. Alabaster accompanied them all the way back to hysteria. at first they tried to hide Alabaster however he would always escape and cause trouble in the village. eventually there was a full out dragon-hunt for him and in order to save Alabaster, Fitz stole a ship and the two of them sailed away from hysteria.
At present Fitz is 25 years old. he made his way in life using the merchant skills that his parents taught him and he still keeps in regular contact with them. Alabaster has become kind of like Fitz's business partner. the two of them still don't get along but they do trust each other. Fitz is still sightly anti-dragon but accepts that every dragon is different and it would be foolish to lump them all together. Fitz still thinks himself responsible for Alabaster's friends death but he doesn't let it show very often.

Fitz is a cool and charismatic person, he prides himself on his intelligence and aptitude for making plans. Fitz is always has the last word and is never without a line to say. Fitz being a merchant tends to class his actions as a profit or a loss. he is quick to flee if things become "unprofitable" and easily becomes frazzled when something unexpected happens. his actions tend to make him come across as a greedy and cowardly person though in reality Fitz does tend regret some of his actions. Fitz often conducts himself in a polite manner whenever meeting people for the first time, however if you prove to be more of a nuisance (or a window shopper) than be prepared for a brutal verbal assault on you ego. He is easily capable of worming his way out of most bad situations with a little persuasion and fancy words. but is not above using violence when he's likely to succeed

Fitz is always ready to jump through a few hoops for Alabaster and Alabaster will no doubt help Fitz when needed. ▪ Fitz has no idea where Alabaster learnt to trade but he has a feeling that he learnt by copying people. [style=width: 300px; text-align:center; font-size: 26px; border-bottom: white solid 3px]PENDING[/style] [style=margin-top: -6px; width: 260px; font-size: 12px; font-family: tahoma] Great app, it's awesome, but I think dragons wouldn't know how to use or even make medicine, especially as they don't have the dexterity or opposable thumbs as we do. Also I don't think dragons would have a sense of money and exchange, or see a value in trinkets anyway. You might want to clarify a little more for future reference to others that Geraldine and Alphonse are outsiders, not Hysterians that have come back home to settle down, and named their kid in the same way as the lands of their origin Also you need to change your display name to that of your character's Apart from those two little things I think your character will be ready to be accepted! Ok so first of all my display name has been changed (do we have to change that every time we change characters or go OOC?) and I also added in how Geraldine and Alphonse are outsiders so hopefully that clears things up on that matter. And now (I really hope you don't take any offense at this but...) I'm going to have to disagree with the idea that dragons can't trade. There was the whole medicine thing and I understand that that was mostly my fault for using 'medical spices' (that has now been changed to just medicine) but I believe that dragons should be capable of identifying medicinal substances and ingesting them, much like how real-life animals are capable of identifying and ingesting medicinal plants. And on the whole trading matter. I do think dragons are capable of understanding trade (they do have their own language after all) after all trading is not so much about money than trust. And surely dragons are capable of understanding trust. I assumed that dragons liked shiny objects (but of course this is based upon the whole fairytale dragon and not HTTYD dragons) but this is a rather minor detail and can be easily changed without affecting the app too much. And lastly I can understand that this is not my site and you have a right and an obligation to keep it running, if you are adamant on me editing out those details then its fine and I am entirely prepared to do so. All I simply wanted to do was try to state my opinion and preserve the character I had in mind and with luck hopefully I will be able to do so without any expense on either of our parts .

Opinions are cool and welcome here, so no problem I can see where you are coming from, and i guess i was more thinking on the lines of 'dragons practicing medicine', rather than the dragon bringing the food it needs to get better, so i guess it's a little my fault on that part XD I'm still not too sure about the trading... Dragons dont really have possessions and have no value to compare to like humans do for trading... But perhaps, if there were natives on the island and through observation perhaps they try to mimic the concept of trading?

I suppose the whole trading thing would be a possibility to add in to Alabaster's back story but that would be in an entirely different post. And I do think that that would make more sense if Alabaster learned trading from other humans rather than understanding it naturally, if I recall correctly there was an experiment IRL where monkeys were taught to use currency. I suppose if dragons were intelligent enough they could mimic the trading process. But again this would have to be added onto Alabaster's history so there's not much I can do about in this post.

Well, you could edit the history a little to add the allusion to the mimicery, so it doesnt look like it's goes *poof* Alabaster knew trading out of nowhere, (especially as dragons dont practice trading between each other XD)
