Hermes' scales retracted as far as they could go in response to Fleta's... alternative solution. She shook her head. "Uhh.... No thanks. I'm fine right here." She pawed the ground as she did so, slightly unhappy that she'd been beaten by both of them. She was obviously still distressed at Sven being in such a weak position.
Sven could see this, and he chuckled. "Loosen up! You're fretting worse than my mother!" He taunted, to which Hermes snorted to, offended. He could see her scales bristle a little. Okay, he was going to far. Lifting an arm, he showed he wouldn't go on. Getting on Hermes' bad side wasn't fun. With a little prompting, he nudged Fleta's foot to release him so he could prove to Hermes that he was unharmed.
Once released, he rolled to his feet, brushing himself down to remove flecks of grass and pine needles on his clothes, and in his already messy hair. He nodded slightly at Fleta as if to excuse himself, before coming over to reassure the uppity dragon. She snorted at him, but he patted her neck, muttering that he was fine. Hermes then circled him, examining him in a similar way as Fleta had done, but a lot closer and occasionally nudging him where the Snow Wraith had her paw on him. Finally deeming him unhamed, she stopped, nodding her head. Sven smirked, patting her neck again, flattening down some of the scales that were still slightly elevated.
Sven returned towards Fleta again. Hermes had been giving him a death glare during the 'examination', which usually meant it was time to leave, or Hermes would take him away by force... Among other consequences. "Well, thank you for allowing me to write about you, Fleta. I would love to stay longer, but I think Hermes will end up going crazy... So I'm afraid I'll have to make my leave. It's been a pleasure to meet you Fleta. I hope we will meet again some day." His face showed regret. Maybe if they hadn't riled up Hermes so much, maybe he could have stayed longer and documented more on this interesting species.
