(See Personal Plots "Need a rider! Make it interesting though.." for details)
Ice was flapping her wings restlessly. She had been flying for at least 3 days now, and it was starting to show. Exhausted, she located a nearby cave and shakily landed. She immediately scented for other dragons and, smelling none, she went inside and flamed the ground. Right before lying down to sleep, she tasted the air again, and caught scent of a familiar yet alarming smell.
Vikings.

Pricking her ears, Ice heard footsteps approaching. She got up and braced herself for whatever was coming. She was ready to use her fire, if needed. Sniffing the air, she was surprised at what she could tell.
A viking? Just one?
The boy came into sight moments later, and Ice didn't trust him immediately. After all, what had that gotten her in life? A couple scars? A burning hatred to vikings? Just like this one?
The boy was still coming closer, so Ice knew that the only way to make him stop was to fake a threat. He seemed to be skilled around dragons at least at amateur level, so he was cautious around her. Especially since her wings could cut through solid rock.
Opening her mouth, she roared, letting him know not to come any closer, and that she WOULD use fire if necessary.
Hm. I smell dragon on this one, but it's kind of old. Maybe he used to have a dragon? I guess I'll have to wait and see what he does.

Not scared. He does have experience with dragons. Let's see what happens if I do this.[/i]
At this thought, Ice closed her mouth and, keeping her wings slightly risen, she looked the boy right in the eyes, with a smaller growl from the back of her throat. She was testing him, to see how he would react.

Hm. Smart move. For a viking. He seems to mean what he says, but..
Trust was a word that had never crossed Ice's mind for the last 10 years. But she was skeptical of whether to use it now or not. The last time she had trusted someone...
Ice pushed the memory to the back of her mind. That was then, and there was no way to change it. But.. this boy seemed different. Calmer.
She decided to chance it. Lowering her wings and closing her mouth, but keeping her eyes locked on the boy, she slowly approached the boy and sniffed him.
Eyes widening in a flash, she opened her mouth and fastened her jaws shut onto a slender object on the boy's side. Pulling her head away, she threw the object far against the back of the cave with a clank.
His longsword.
