ALRIGHT, an update. I'm currently working on the opening post now. We need people to volunteer for NPCs, unless you want a specific battle your character will be in to be off-paneled. I'm going to make a separate board for the war entirely, as well as sub-boards so you can thread with whomever you NPC in that board, and it will be yours alone. HERE'S THE NPC LIST AS IT STANDS. PLEASE POST BELOW TO CLAIM AN NPC OR TWO
(or however many you think you can handle)
- HYSTERIA VILLAGE LEADER by Noah
- HYSTERIA VILLAGE MEDIC (somebody's gotta do it) by RKB
- 2 HAMMER SWINGERS, one to take out Pickle's eye for real by Kenna (taking Pickle's eye) & _____
- 2 CATAPULT & TREBUCHET LAUNCHERS
- 2 ARCHERS by Luna & ____ Now, obviously, we're not going to have a WHOLE lot of NPCs because let's face it...there's only like..12 of us XD. However, keep in mind that these are only people that will stick up played-out fights that will need to be NPC'd by someone other than yourself. You can NPC yourself in battle so long as you dont come away unscathed from EVERYTHING. Also, NPC your character getting hurt. If you have an NPC you want thrown in, please mention it below. Also, please do as Curtis and Scratchet have already done and tell what your character will be doing as well. As for Asther, she'll be taking on the Hysteria Leader. Typical, eh? Leader vs Leader. EDIT 1: The thread is up HERE! However, do not yet respond to it until we have sorted things out in this thread! |

Oo, I'll play as the medic please!Should we make temp accounts to play the NPCs, or do we just include what they're doing along with our own character's business? Can someone play as some sort of hammer/axe-wielder to try and own Pickle?
I give thee permission to make him actually lose an eye for real. XD
Oh yeah, question for Asther - will the leader of Berk listen to an outsider? Otherwise Sven & Hermes' scouting abilities are going to be rendered useless otherwise :s Unless i make a little 'backstory' thread where Sven sees the fleet arriving and tried to warn Asther, and thus gaining her trust despite being an outsider?

Backstory thread works. Normally she's a bit mistrustful of Outsiders but she takes things like a threat to her village seriously ^^

LOL!!!! noah is playing luna's father!!!! this aught to be really intersting ^^
so, since luna isnt really the best fighter, she can be medic, but considering this is her homeland attacking, i cant help but imagine her at some piont or another making interaction with a character (father?) from hysteria. she might jump into the battle for a little bit and due to her lack of battle skills, get horribly injured and practcally bleed to death or something like that. i wonder if anyone will recognize luna? hmmmm. somehow see her branding mark? try and drag her back? well see!!!
if i am needed to play hysteria vikings i will surley oblige, just say the word!!! =D

Can Virtigo be an archer? (Luna and Curtis or someone can drag him to the village or something)
And something can go on with Winter and Ghost. (No idea what though)

If there is an interaction between Luna and her father, then it will have to take place before the battle between Hysteria's leader and Asther, because Asther will come at him with full intentions to kill him, no questions asked. Her mindset is to teach them they can't invade Berk willy-nilly and expect not to have losses. ^^
If she was exiled by her father then I dont think anybody would try to bring her back? Forgive me if she wasnt actually exiled, it's 12:30 and I need to be asleep >><< XD And...almost bleeding to death? Always fun. Just be sure to keep it within the room of Proboards ToS. A number of my other sites have had violence that I did not think was over-the-top, but apparently Proboards did so I've had to tone stuff out after getting warnings from them >>
There be open NPCs, aye? Go for one ^^
Virtigo as an archer? For which side? Berk, one would hope XD
If Winter and Ghost want to help fight on the side of Berk in this, they're more than welcome to ^^

Luna, wasn't exiled by her father, she left on her own will. And one of her greatest fears is that she will be dragged becak to hysteria and forced to live there and become the next leader, because that is the hysteria way, forced tyranny. So ya.
As for NPCs....hmmm....I'll take an archer, if that's allright ^^
And if Sven doesn't want to feel useless, Luna can Always use him. he can help her by mixing up herbs while she aplies them. He's had some experience with Luna Amd her ways of healing Amd he knows herbs well so Luna will proabaly use him as a minion and scream stuff she wants him to mix for her at him xD 'SVEN! GET ME SOME POPPY SEEDS AND A MIX OF OAK LEAF AND COMFREY!!!' lol, he's done it before so if Sven wants to help out Luna, just tell me.

Alrighties, I got a good idea so that this battle isn't going to be over in like 2 seconds because of the dragon advantage we have: It starts raining! or worse! According to HTTYD (mainly in the film) draggies cant make fire when they're wet. Something like that so we're not completely overpowered... XD @luna, lololol that'd be cool and kinda funny XD Hermes could try rush the injured off the battlefield into safety too  |

Nope ^^ If you looked in the introductory post to the war at all you'll see I positioned it for a storm to break at some point, I was thinking it would be sort of symbolic if it were to do so either in the middle or right at the end of the battle XD

xD yes, I do read warriors. I was wondering if anyone would ever pick up on that that was where I get all of Lunas remedies from. If i ever need to write a post that involves luna healing i crack out the ol' warriors guide and find the herb index and use that as my reference. It's a great series. Have you read them, asther?

I'd want to take on the eye. I'll take the hammer swinger if that's what'll take it out, although you'd think an archer would be a better job for that move.
I wonder how Kenna will feel about this, she'll have a lot of work to do.
