Harold Harrison the Terribly Timid

Harold Harrison the Terribly Timid, named so due to his imminent lack of confidence during a conversation, multiplied even more so in the presence of women.

Harold Harrison was born on the 25th March, to his mother and father, Helga and Olaf respectively. He is the youngest out of three siblings - he has one older sister, Heather, and the eldest of them all - his brother Skulderbrash. Both his older siblings are great Viking warriors who do their best to protect the town from dragon attacks. All whilst he was growing up he saw them as his role models, hoping one day he'd also be great dragon killers like them.

But something was off. Harold didn't appear as brawn as the other two Vikings. He wasn't the kind of boy who would roar fiercely at their opponent before charging - in fact quite the opposite. He appeared to have a severe problem with speaking to people outside of his family, and even withhin his family he had a stammer. At ten years old, he joined the Dragon Training Arena to begin his training to be a warrior, still determined to be a great warrior like his brother and sister. He was a good student, but he wasn't deemed worthy enough of killing his first dragon in front of the entire village. Because of his great shyness, he was often bullied and made fun of because of it, recieving the title of 'the Terribly Timid'. His brother tried to be supportive of him, acknowledging that he was a little different to the standard Viking. But his brash attitude sometimes made the message come across the wrong way. His sister less so pleased. He slowly lost faith in his role models as he grew up, but he was still determined to be a good Viking nontheless, to try and make it work out.

When he started becoming interested in women, his social skills went completely downhill, always going red in the face and turning the other way instead of confronting his shyness and proving he was brave. Most ladies went after the 'cool' vikings, the ones who could kill dragons and show off enough swag to impress them. Harold could kill dragons, just not spectacularly, often requiring someone else to help him do the job properly. It didn't rank well, his sister Heather also not being help, spilling stories of gossip to further ruin his reputation.

However, through Training and partners during raids, he had managed to aquire some other misfit friends, like Scörn the Pyromaniac, and Boris the Incredibly Selfish. Through them he had made other friends like Fungus and Bracken, and they became a team who'd look out for each other during raids and give each other pointers for the future. The group accepted each other's faults, which gave especially Harold a sense of belonging, compared to the rest of the village.

Harold was called to arms when the Hysterians began the search for the missing heir. It was obvious that their leader, Hrothgar was getting ill, and whispers around the main town suggested he was going to die pretty soon. But he also heard of the heir, how she was deemed unfit by the people to be a ruler. Harold kept his mouth shut, which was an easy enough feat for him. He didn't know what the truth was, so refused to believe any of it.

After failing to find her on the island, they set sail to berk. Fungus has been asked by the head of the military force - Baldr himself - to act as a spy to find proof that the heir to the throne was actually on the island, with a team of course. Fungus was an excellent hunter, so he was the man for the job, and he brought his friends with him, without realising that their misfit attitudes would hinder him in the operation.

They had found the house of the heir, and retrieved the knife. But the local blacksmith had found them too. Harold, who tended to try have his 'way' with women during raids ended up with a broken jaw, and whilst he was out, his entire group of friends were slaughtered by a mysterious individual...

As the sole survivor of the raid, he was taken into custody by the Berkites until the Hysterians returned to collect him. He began to regain some lost reputation from the miraclous survival, but he was once again a loner nevertheless, having lost his friends in the brutal fight.

Harold is currently 19 years of age.

Harold is male and straight. Despite his severe lack of social skills, he does try to get a date, he just fails terribly.

Harold failed to become a fully-fledged warrior, lacking the standard Viking demeanour and physique. Though he still participates when dragons attack, he tends to be an odd-jobs man, mostly in the crafting area of expertise. He's good with a needle, he can make nets, baskets, clothes, leather armour - and so on.
