Okay, I was just thinking through story ideas when I started to notice an interesting alagory between a character I'd been making and a character from a famous set of stories. Now I'm willing to bet a commission (either of writing or a rubbish drawing) that the first guess given that perfectly fits the desription will be the wrong person. Really this is aimed at Luna and Red, since those two I know know who this is.
A shapeshifter, know by many names, many faces and many actions. He is a wondering trickster, meeting chaos wherever he goes, either through his own action or the action of others, and throw the chaos he causes he stops the evil which has come. While he is great, and he is recognised by both the group he comes from and the groups he meets, he is never fully trusted by them and is therefore always an outsider. Due to how he is and what he does, he lies constantly, and gives good reason to be mistrusted, but his record saving people at the cost to himself is quite great. He is good, though he can easily be (and a few times has been) portrayed as evil and, when you boil it down, the most dangerous character in the universe he is placed in.
