Summer looked around town after stepping out of her house. She had already flown with Fireworm earlier that day and now her dragon was catching up on some snoozes in the sun. She smiled when she saw her dragon, lying there, in the middle of the road, not caring whose path she was in. Summer just shook her head and patted her on the nose as she walked by. Her Nightmare snorted in response and Summer’s nostrils were filled with an immense smoke from the fire that Fireworm had snorted at her. She continued walking not really knowing where she was going when she came upon a group of people talking. She tried to listen in but didn’t want to eavesdrop. For all she knew, they could be discussing something secret.

As the group filed away, all that was left was a boy around her age but much taller than she. He looked familiar but couldn’t put a name to the face. She pondered this for a moment before realizing it was Horik. He was probably telling the villagers something that was hardly needed, or was needed, who knew. Summer shook her head, rolled her eyes, and smirked before walking up to him. He was a funny guy. Not that she had talked to him really before; she had just heard some of the things people had said. As she walked up she saw the group shaking their heads as if they didn’t believe him. When she was finally next to him she spoke.

”What are they shaking their heads about?” She said nodding her head towards the group of people that had just been there. The people were far enough away that they wouldn’t be able to over hear what she had said so she said it in a non-whisper. She looked up at him waiting to hear what he had to say.

[Horik & Argent]

Horik looked at the people and then over to Summer. He shrugged abit and leans against a tree looking at her for a moment. Horik had talked to her a few times before but they were pretty brief, but she's a nice person.

"Eh, just one of my crazy ol' schemes that will never work in a Nords age!" He said mimicking one of the old men's voice that generally was the one saying his plans and ideas don't work. He laughed afterwards though. He didn't care what that man had been saying but the whole crowd was on the fence with the ideas he had been throwing around.

Horik looked at the bright blue sky, with the dazzling, and dazing sun just sitting in its usual spot. There was a slight breeze and the temperature was mild. Horik and argent had gone for a simple walk in the forest before coming here.

"I'll be honest, my ideas sound far fetched but I gerentte that they would work." Horik said looking at summer smiling.

Argent leaned forward abit with his eyes closed sniffing towards fireworks scent. He opened his eyes and shook his head abit for a moment looking around himself at the sky and the people. Listening to the normal noises of the town.

"So, how are you Summer?" Horik asked.

Summer smiled at the first thing he said. Of course some schemes were crazy. But then again, what good ones weren’t? It took a lot of something to work and if you had the time and patience, why, just about anything could happen. She chuckled a bit as she saw Fireworm glance around, getting out of her sleeping stupor. She had hoped the dragon would just stay sleeping, but hearing Summer’s voice had awoken the great beast. The Monster got and started walking towards her. Her head stopped right in front of Summer pleading to be scratched under the chin. Summer smiled and stuck out her hand which absentmindedly went to scratching Fireworm. At this her dragon closed her eyes and let out a soft sigh.

Summer looked back to Horik as he spoke twice more. She smiled and tilted her head as if trying to crack it. Once she heard the little POP she stopped and answered. ”Better now. I have caught up on my sleeping since the war. Although I still feel some of the after effects,” she said as she lifted her arm and turned it to where you could see there was a bruise that was just getting into its healing stage. Her other hand brushed it softly but she winced at the slight jolt of pain that went up her arm. When she fell off Fireworm in a last minute attempt to get out of the way of an opposing arrow, she had fallen directly on a shield that someone had dropped. The metal had pushed into her arm hard and the bruise had been there since.

”But what’s a little war without some scrapes and bruises. By the way, I bet some of them would work. You just have to start putting them to action. What do they involve?” Fireworm had pushed against her arm when Summer had stopped scratching. The arm that she bumped into of course was the one that was bruised. Summer had flinched and gritted her teeth trying so hard not to yell. Seeing what she had done the Nightmare flicked her tail and ducked her head in a form of apology. Not being able to be mad at her dragon Summer smiled and nodded her head as if it was okay.

[Horik & Argent]

Horik nodded. What was a war without some cuts and bruises. Then maybe some broken bones and limbs. He looked at the bruise on Summers arm and lightly touched it. Probably not hard enough for summer to feel any real pain.

"Hurts that much hmm?" He laughed a little looked at her face from the bruise. He shrugged a little after wards. "I'll be honest, I never really helped with the war. I had been out off the island trying to find materials I needed for a project and I came back a couple days later not knowing what happened until I got caught up. " He stopped talking clearly done talking.

He laughed. "My ideas... Hmm one of them was this. It was just a simple Pully system. Capable of lifting a very large about of weight." Horik laughed at himself talking it sounded odd to just add onto an already existing idea, but being able to had a better system to something helps improving what ever.

"So, what have you been up to since the war." He asked, he swayed side to side slightly, not noticeable very well it was slight. He looked at firework and smiled waving his hand abit at fireworm.

Argent looked at fireworm for a moment and then layed down looking around. He seemed to be off in his own world just relaxing in the sun.

When Horik touched the bruise on her arm lightly, it hurt just a bit, like a shot would if you weren’t expecting it. She jumped slightly but other than that nothing at all. ”Really now. You just saw me almost cry in pain when Fireworm bumped her nose into it and then you do that. Of course it’s going to hurt.” She turned towards the tree that he was leaning on and let her head fall against it as if she couldn’t believe that he had just done that. She smiled as she pushed herself off the tree and leaned against it also. When she heard that he didn’t really help with the war she just shrugged. People helped with the war however they could. ”Hey, if that ‘project’ somehow benefits Berk, then you did help out.”

When he started talking about his idea she moved her head from side to side as if nodding side to side. It didn’t sound like a bad idea. It would be very helpful if they needed to move anything heavy out of the way, or if they wanted to build houses with heavier materials. ”That’s not a bad idea actually. That could come in handy.” It would improve something they already had, but improvements were always better weren’t they?

Summer paused to think when Horik asked what she had been up to. She really hadn’t been up to anything. She sighed deciding to give him the super simple answer. ”Seriously, pretty much nothing. Fireworm and I have just been practicing fighting, trying to build her stamina, I have been practicing archery, but I have also started hunting some big game, mostly deer, with my bow. Pretty much all the same things though.” She paused thinking if there was anything else, but satisfied with her answer she looked up at him. ”What about you? Anything besides coming up with some crazy ideas that will never work?” She winked as she tried to copy the old man’s voice that he had done only moments ago.

She watched as he waved at Fireworm and Argent looked at Fireworm. Summer smiled as her dragon nodded her head back to Horik and just kind of stared at Argent before copying what he did and curling up on the other side of Summer. Of course she was bigger so she took up more room, but she put her head in the way of Summer’s path if Summer was to move nonetheless. Summer would either have to climb over her dragon, push her head out of the way (which would take a lot of work), or wait for Horik to move so she could slide the small gap between the head and the tree to get out. Either way would require some effort and Fireworm kind of made a gurgling laugh at the predicament that Summer was now in.

Horik shrugged his arms abit. Hunting wasn't really his type of thing, he left that to the others that were meant for hunting. He thought for a moment with almost a thinking face on him.

"Well, me and Argent have always been working on our normal things. We take daily flights around the island to keep fit. Sword training on dummies that I make out of wood." Horik laughed.   

The training dummies he made were pretty useful but looked funny. It was just simply a main stick with extending arms where one hand held a sword and the other held a shield. The dummy rotated depending where you hit it. If he was in the mood he might draw something like a face on the dummy for his amusement.

Horik looked behind him back at the path into the forest. Now was about the time he usually goes with Argent into the forest to look around for materials that might be useful. Or maybe just to relax and take a walk, just depending what they felt like. Horik turned his head back to Summer and smiled.

"Hey, Summer do you want to take a walk with me into the forest?" He sounded kinda hopeful as he said this.

Argent lifted his head up at Horik as he said that and then stood up off the ground and stretched. Argent knew that they were going into the forest either way so he might as well be ready to go instead of just laying there and then just staring at Horik blankly when he does say their going.

A wisp of breeze swept by the air, carrying with it the smell of the forest and sea. It was a calming smell and a good one to.

As Summer listened to him, she realized that the dummies would be pretty cool. Imagine if they made those for the V.I.T. Then Chad could watch them and help them individually instead of them bashing against each other. Although, combat was also a good training practice. ”You know I bet that Chad wouldn’t mind the sword fighting. I mean if you really wanted to. He only has the Vikings-In-Trainings’ to fight with and he can’t use all his skills on them since they probably would get hurt. It would be good for the both of you.” She paused for a moment as she looked at Fireworm. The dragon opened its eyes and looked at her. The slit going narrow as the sun hit her full force in the eye. She closed one eyelid so that it was slightly dimmer, but other than that just stayed staring at Summer until the girl looked away.

When Horik asked if Summer would want to walk in the forest with him, she paused thinking about what she had to do today. ”Sure. Why not? I have nothing else or better to do today.”

She looked back at Fireworm, who upon hearing what Summer had said had given a heavy sigh as she pulled herself up and stretched. Her body arched and her wings contracted in. Summer was surprised to actually hear the dragons back pop. She started laughing at this, in which Fireworm just glared at her.

As she started walking towards a trail in the forest she turned and looked back Horik. Fireworm had continued on for awhile until she realized her human had stopped in which case she turned and looked to see what she was up to. Summer walked the few short paced ahead to her dragon and put her hand on the snout. ”So you coming?” She said to Horik as they started walking into the forest.

[Horik & Argent]

Horik nodded his head and started walking towards summer. All he heard was light, thump, thump, thumps from argent walking behind him. They weren't very loud to be a bother but it was still noticeable. Horik walked past up to summer and started walking beside her into the forest. soon the green canopy took the place of the bright, baby blue sky. The sun shone through the cracks in the Canopy's in sparkling streaks that hit the ground. The forest here was fairly clear, there wasn't a whole lot of tree but there were enough. Once you started getting deeper into the forest, that's when it got denser.

"Hmm.. Chad, chad.. Oh yea the teacher for the Vikings in training. I guess I could ask him sometime to fight with me." Horik smiled looked around with Argent plodding along behind him. 

"I'm sure he would be able to use my training dummies for his students Aswell. It could really help him I suppose, I'll bring it up next time I talk to him." Horik rubbed his sleeve off of a leaf that fell from the forest roof above them.

Argent kept look from one side to another looking for other dragons, or something that catches his eyes. There wasn't anything that did catch his eye but he did hear dragons in the distance, little far off but he could still hear them like they were close enough.

Horik walked over a small little wooden bridge that ran over a river. "So peaceful here." Horik smiled, "I wouldn't mind living out here, it would be a nuisance to get to and from the village though and I don't need to be walking that much more or I'll be tired by the time I get there." He laughed looking over at summer. "What about you, what would you do in this forest?"

As soon as they walked into the forest Summer smiled. The heat of the sun had been replaced by the cool velocity of the shade given by the trees. As she heard him talk about Chad and what he would say to him next time he saw him he just smiled. A couple of dew drops fell from the trees above and hit Summer in the head and shoulders. She just wiped them off with her hands as she continued to walk. She stayed silent for a moment until Horik spoke again. She saw a bridge up ahead and she slowed down since it could only have one traveler on it at a time since it was so small. ”Yes it is.” As soon as Horik got across Summer crossed the bridge. She topped in the middle of it for a short while to look at the water below.

When she heard him speak again, she paused. ”Well apart from hunt, I just like walking through here. The sound is so soft and the air so cool. It’s a nice place to get away from everyone else. But I couldn’t live here. As much as I like solitude, I also like people.” She looked to Horik as she finished crossing the bridge. But, she paused for a moment to turn and see Fireworm. The bridge wasn’t big enough for her, but she saw her dragon had no problem walking through the water. Summer smiled and continued on walking. ”Why would you want to live in the forest?”

As Fireworm saw Summer cross the bridge, she paused for a moment. Deciding it didn’t matter if she got wet or not, she walked right through the water. She turned to see what Argent would do. Once she saw she finally decided to break the ice between them. ”So, what do you and Horik usually do when you walk through the forest? I have seen you too walk through here quiet often.”

Horik shrugged and looked around for a moment. The noise of the running river soon passed behind like a distant memory fading into oblivion.

Argent looked at Firewrom and bobbed his head abit. "Not too much really. he's always looking for materials to help build his inventions. When ever he let's me go free for a day I just run off and find other dragon or go hunting for myself. How about yourself. I've seen you running around quite abit Aswell."


Horik continued walking and listened to the others foot steps beside and behind him. He listened closely trying to pick out who's were who's. He had a way to figure that out. the heaviest foot steps behind him was Argents, due to the fact that he was male so that has heavier body structure and he's a dragon. The second loudest behind him was clearly Fireworm, aside from summer she was the only female there. Then the lightest footsteps out of them all was Summers. 

"We don't change routine too much because we like to keep it structured really. unless we're really bored." Horik laughed. "Which is when we get.. Well really bored."

Argent looked around the noises of the dragons sounded farther now. Maybe they were flying when he had heard them or they took off and ran off. He could see a deer, but it was deep in the forest and just spotted them and ran, so it wouldn't of mattered anything anyways.

"You is there anything else you want to ask?" Horik said looking over to summer.

[Summer & Fireworm]

Fireworm listened to Argent as he spoke. Even though they were the same species, she was slightly taller, but he was bulkier, so when she didn't hear a lot of the things under her feet snap but she did with him she smiled. Of course some things snapped but not much. "Sounds...fun.” She really meant it to. To just be out in the forest and away from the town was fun when Summer and she could do it. ”Well, we just fly around a lot. Or I go in here to hunt. Fish is okay, but you can only have so much of it you know. I try to stay around Summer though because I don't want anything bad happening to her. Especially ever since her parents died.” She stopped there not wanting to go too much into detail. She looked around when Argent did and had noticed the same deer. Luckily for that deer, she had eaten earlier this morning so as of right now she was not hungry in the slightest.

Summer smiled when Horik said they don’t really change their routine unless they get really bored. She thought for a moment before asking a question. ”So including Fireworm and I in your walk, is that because you’re bored and want the company?”

[/b] She said as she looked at him out of the corner of her eyes. Her eyes flicked to the front of her view as she saw a small log in her path. She stepped over it carefully so that so didn’t make a fool of herself and fall over it. When he asked if there was anything else she shrugged her shoulders and looked back at him. ”Can’t think of anything at the moment. What about you? Anything you wanna ask me?” She said to him.

 Horik shrugged abit and looked around the area for a moment. He shrugged again and then stepped over the log. "Nah, I just like the company when I walk in the forest." He smiled and looked  over to the side

"I don't know to be honest. What do you think. Do you want to talk to me about anything? Anything will do I don't repeat conversations unless I need to." he said looking over at Summer.

Argent spotted the deer aswell but ignored them due to the fact that he had already ate this morning and he couldn't be bothered to go and try to hunt the deer down. He looked over at fireworm. He climbed over the log and continued walking along behind Horik.

"So wait. Summers parents died? Really? That sounds sad to me. Do you know how they did? Even if you tell me it's not like I'd be able to tell Horik about it. He doesn't fully understand dragonesse." Argent said, but it would just sound like a song of rumbles to Summer and Horik.

Horik looked back at Argent and Fireworm after hearing the rumbles. He smiled and then looked back to summer.

Summer nodded. She knew what he meant. It was kind of sad to be along sometimes and a friend to talk to could really help the time go by. She looked around for a moment then looked back at him. Today was basically the anniversary of her parents’ death. They hadn’t died today but this was the day she had found out about. So part of her mind had been focused on that this whole day. She sighed and looked at her feet with a furrowed brow. She wondered if she should tell him what she hardly tells anybody. She tried to keep up a strong face for everyone because she hates feeling weak. Deciding that he really wouldn’t tell anybody she opened up.

”This whole day kind of puts me in a not good mood. I put up a face for others because I don’t like others seeing me hurt and because I don’t want the pity. Today is the anniversary of my parents’ death. Of course they died earlier, but I found out on this day a couple years ago.” She looked back up at him. Her face held no tears, but she could feel her heart and body shudder at the thought of the time two years ago.

Fireworm stepped over the log after Argent and then fell into place beside him. ”Yeah. They really died. Two years ago today in fact. It is really sad, although she doesn’t show it she hurts on the inside. But she has to put on a strong face for her brother since she is the only one left in his life. Besides his dragon and me of course. They died in a fishing boat accident. The yearly fishing trip went off and a week later returned without her parents. Her parents had fallen overboard and when they tried to rescue them, they couldn’t find them.” She looked at Argent and shook her head not wanting to start crying because then Summer would know what was up.

When she saw Horik turn around and Summer, she picked up her head and put on a smile even though she could see in Summer’s eyes that she had just told Horik that her parents were gone.

Horik was shocked when summer said that. She lost her parents two years ago? Shes still considered young now, Horik wouldn't be able to think if he lost his parents when he was younger it would of been a lot of his mind if it did,

"Wow.." he paused for a moment looking at summer. "I'm so sorry to hear about that."

Argent loled his head a bit before looking at fireworm. His eyes were somewhat dull at the moment. 

"Wow. That must of been tough for her. It's hard for a human to loose their parents. From what I've noticed at least, I guess it would be the same for us." Argent said looked forward at the two humans and bobbing his head abit.

Horik looked around the area for a moment not really knowing what to say now. He glanced back over to Summer.

"Is there anything I can do to help you out? I mean with daily stuff if you want, I could have something to do and I think that you could use the house. Even though I know your capable of handling it yourself." Horik said patting his hand against his hip.
