"Oh calm down, Sky. We're almost there - you'll be able to fly shortly, I promise." The Dragon let out a low warbling sound to her, and Ishtara snorted, "I do not." She responded, hugging the creature's head against her.
It had been a long journey from Meathead Village to Berk, and Skywalker was about at the end of her rope. For hours now she'd been letting off calls and roars, finally silenced by the fish Ishtara had shoved into her muzzle. Now she just hung her head over the side, looking pitiful as her wings dragged the deck.
"LAND HO!" The lookout cried, and the Sky Runner's head shot up to stare toward Berk. The village loomed on the horizon, and Ishtara joined in the cries of joy.
The ship pulled into harbor about an hour later, and Skywalker herself shot from the deck, letting out clear roars of joy at being skybound once again. Ishtara shook her head and simply walked down the boarding plank, her pack resting on her back. Stepping onto land, she would inhale the air and smile. Dragons all around.
Making her way forward, she would finally arrive at the Arena. Staring into it, she would see the scorch marks on the floor and walls from where dragon shots had hit and forever scarred the stone. She became sad as she remembered the stories surrounding the Arena; about dragons being killed as a Rite of Passage, and lives that had been lost on both sides in the Dragon Wars before Hiccup and Toothless had formed their bond.
A thump behind her, and the blonde would turn towards the sound. Skywalker rubbed her chin to the woman's hair. Ishtara's hand rested on the creature's head and rubbed, glancing over her shoulder once more at the Arena..
