[/color][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]It was a relatively quiet day. The birds were flying aimlessly in the sky and, though the sky wasn't exactly clear, the weather was nice and refreshing. At least, for Darso it was. The cold was something he had always hated, but on days where the heat would almost literally hang in the air were days that he cherished. With his eyes closed, the bulky male reptilian sat at the edge of the rocky canyon he called home. The woods were at his back as were the soft comforts of soft patched of grass and the protection of the trees. But, none of those characteristics interested him. No, he preferred the rough terrain of the rocks that he now rested on. It was nice to occasionally lay against the grass and not worry about having the edges of stones getting between his loose scales. But, there was always the issue of the blades of grass getting caught between his rough scales, and trying to pick them out was not something he enjoyed doing.
Lazily letting out a long, drawn-out yawn, the male gradually stood from his perch, his brown eyes scanning the area before turning away. Nervously glancing around at the trees that stood before him, the shy dragon eventually stepped into the small gathering of trees. With a low growl rumbling in his throat, he lightly rubbed his head and neck against the trees, scraping off some of the old scales that held no use for him. As the scales fell, Darso continued to nervously glance around at his surroundings, watching for any kind of movement that could hold a possible threat.
