DATE & TIME: 7/25-7/26 Night, entering morning WEATHER CONDITIONS: Misty and cold, random sprinkling CHARACTERS INVOLVED: Heimdall, Open PREVIOUS THREADS? N/A
It was nights like these that Heimdall loved. A full moon and a sky full of stars shining brightly down on the earth. The clearing he lay in now, was shining with the light from above, causing the grass and his fur to shine. Stretched out like a feline, Heim enjoyed the beautiful night. Not looking forward for when day came and he would have to hide. His long tail swished in the dew covered grass, soaking it and causing a purr to rumble forth. Rubbing his long snout into the grass, purple eyes became half-lidded.
A boom jolted Heim, his reflexes landing him on all fours in a defensive stance. Relaxing when he realized nothing was around; the Celeris looked up just as a flash of light broke from the sky. Rain started to pour down, soaking dark blue fur. A beautiful night taken over by the storm. Shaking his head, Heimdall turned around and headed to his cave in hope that the next night will be better than this one.
The cave walls were cool as he walked down them; the dwelling where he had made his home appeared almost as a strange home with a hallway and rooms. At the moment he was making his way to the small stream that was deeper within. The walls shone with a white light, the small stream seeping down through the walls. It was refreshing to drink from the water as it was cleaner and tastier then water on the outside.
Food. The thought made Heimdall remember that he had not eaten in almost four weeks. He would have to hunt the next night, with any luck there would be something out and about during the night or he would have to brave the day.

Fleta rolled her shoulders as she pondered where to go, sitting under a large stone overhang. She had traveled farther from her territory than usual, finding herself in the mountains. She snorted at the rain, just a few inches from her face. She was already soaked, the short fur on her face spiking out slightly. A low growl escaped her throat at the next crash of thunder. Her lips curled as she debated whether to trudge back into the storm and find a better shelter, or to stay where she was, occasionally getting buffeted with rain when the wind changed directions.
It didn't take Fleta long to make up her mind, taking a deep breath before trotting out into the storm, her head low and her ears folded back. She tried to hold her tail high instead of letting it drag, not wanting it to get completely caked with mud. She gave up pretty quickly though, finding that even when held up the long fur still trailed on the wet ground. Perfect.
Fleta grumbled as she trudged through the mud, feeling it squelch up between her toes and into her fur. A shiver went down her spine as the cold rain bounced off of her back. I hate the rain...[/i] Fleta raised her head in surprise as she rounded a corner and spotted a cavern, her ears perking slightly. She sniffed the air cautiously, knowing she wouldn't be the only one looking for shelter from the storm.
Even through the strong rain and wind Fleta could smell the other dragon. Its scent was all over the place, and Fleta's heart sank. That was this dragon's cave she was looking at. She pushed her nerves aside as the rain continued to pelt her and another bolt of lightning lit up the sky. She needed shelter, and fast. Fleta shook her head and stepped into the cave, thankful to find it cool, but dry. She shook herself to rid her fur of some of the water, her fur spiking out and clumping in places.
She lingered by the entrance, not sure of who she would be encountering deeper in the cave. She hoped it would be at least somewhat friendly, or kind enough to let her stay until the storm passed. Fleta stared into the cave before taking a few tentative steps forward. Her ears strained to hear if anything was happening deeper in the cave. Was anyone home? The sound of lapping up water greeted her ears, confirming someone was definitely there. Fleta cleared her throat. "Hello, I'm sorry to intrude but would it be alright if I wait out the storm here?"[/i][/b] An ear flicked as she waited for a response, her body ready to flee if the resident was less than welcoming.

Finish his last few laps, purple eyes turned toward the tunnel as a noise penetrated his ears, the sound of someone stepping into his cave. He stayed in his crouched position, his long furred tail sweeping silently against the stone floor. Furry ears pricked forward as words floated through the many passages and echoes within the one he crouched in. How strange. Another creature wished shelter within my home. Pulling himself to his full height, the lanky dragon easily turned within the slightly small area. Claws barely clicking as he made his way out to the enterance.
Dark purple eyes finally caught sight of the intruder. From his spot he could tell it was wingless and covered in fur, but besides that there wasn't a single similiarity between them. He had actual skin and it scales. Raising his head, he sniffed the air, the scent of moist frost and female attacked his sensors and registered within his mind. Sliding out from the curve, he stood straight and stared at the white furred dragon.
Words flowed out even as his maw stayed closed, "You are welcome to stay until the storm ends, if you swear not to harm." Now to see if she could hear him.

Crystal was most definitely not enjoying her walk through the forest tonight. With the moon blocked out by the clouds above her head, combined with her bad eyesight, her vision was literally black. She would have flown above the trees to avoid running into any of them, but the rain that buffeted her face prevented her.
If someone were to be watching her, it would have seemed like she was stalking an invisible enemy; calculating each step she took. And with every step, she clamped her jaws together to generate a loud, but dull, snap. The sound echoed off the upcoming tree, so she veered around it. Crystal repeated this action many times until she came across a small cave; one she did not recognize. Great... I've gotten myself lost... again.
The dragon shook it's body to rid it of any loose water, and proceeded to the entrance of the cave. But she stopped mid-step when she heard movements from within the darkness. Even though Crystal would normally choose the flight response, she knew that she needed shelter from the storm.
"W-who's there?" She didn't really expect an answer; she already knew her small voice was too small to be heard. Her body kept urging her to run, but she knew it wasn't a choice right now. She needed a place to stay for the rest of the night.
Sighing nervously, she padded into the cave. Though the rain no longer clouded her right eye, her vision was still poor, so she snapped her jaws; knowing whomever was in the cave would hear it echo off the walls.
Her senses 'saw' two other inhabitants near her, but she made no effort to move closer. Instead, she would wait for them to come to her... Please be friendly...
