NAME: Sindre
ALIAS: Sindre the Fleet-footed
AGE: 14
GENDER: Female
STANDING: Viking in training
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Straight
LIKES: Flying
Ever since her first time on Frostbite, Sindre has loved to fly. She mainly loves the exhilaration of it: the wind whistling through her hair and the beautiful views that accompany flying. She particularly loves flying at sunset and at night, which Frostbite also prefers due to the frosty temperatures that sunset and beyond brings. Another reason why Sindre prefers flying at night is the fact that she highly enjoys the solitary. Although she loves the company of her friends, she likes to have the evenings to herself as her own time.
Dragons
Like most Hooligans now, Sindre likes dragons. She particularly loves their company and separate personalities, seeing them as being very similar to humans. On top of this, she would count Frostbite as her best friends, seeing as how she understands her more than some of her human friends.
Adventuring and exploring
Sindre often goes out to Toothless’ Forest or the mountains to explore the various places they behold. She particularly likes finding remote areas where she can go to relax, and could give directions to a handful of different areas along Berk that she visits often. Whenever she has free-time with Frostbite, she visits the mountains due to the snowy, cold weather that she adores.
Swimming
Sindre used to fear water in general, but Frostbite helped her, or forced her, to try swimming. Gradually, she started to tolerate water, before starting to swim for the fun of it.
Sword-fighting
Due to swords being the only weapon she is good at, Sindre is often seen practicing sword-fighting. Over the years, she has become an exceptional sword-fighter and enjoys practicing with other people and with Frostbite and her nose horn.
DISLIKES: Meeting new people and change
Sindre, although very comfortable around those she has known for at least a month, is awkward around people she has just met and therefore dislikes it whenever she meets someone new. On top of this, she dislikes anyone breaking tradition, or changing anything that has been around for a while.
Losing
Sindre despises losing at something she has put a lot of effort into. Generally, she manages to swallow this and not be a sore loser. However, she can sometimes come off as one, becoming extremely frustrated at placing second at anything she likes.
Getting up early in the morning
Unless it is for a good cause, like going out with Frostbite and her friends, Sindre hates getting up in the early hours of the morning and is very grumpy. Despite this, she enjoys early-morning walks and flying: it is just the process of getting out of bed that bothers her.
Boasting
Although she doesn’t hate boasting about a very important role played, Sindre does hate any other form of boasting and is very modest. She can only just tolerate it without losing her tongue.
STRENGTHS: Sword-fighting
Sindre's sword fighting skills are excellent: they are the only weapons she bothers to practices with. Although her crossbow skills are also OK, she feels more at ease with a sword and enjoys practicing with Frostbite's nose horn. Quick on her feet, Finna excels at fancy footwork and reflexes, which compliment her sword-skills nicely.
Wittiness
Sindre is quite intelligent and witty, and is quite good at getting out of tricky situations with her quick thinking. She lies relatively easily, and generally doesn't care about it, or see it as partuclarly wrong.
Loyalty
Sindre is very loyal and always stands up for her friends, or anyone she feels deserves her loyalty. Treachery is a terrible act for her, and she dislikes anyone who shows signs of this.
Dragon training
Sindre is good at coming up with new ideas of training dragons, and often experiments on Frostbite to find out new ways of training dragons, and getting them on her good side.
WEAKNESSES: Stamina
Whether it is coping with stress, or running long distances, Sindre has low stamina and can get tired out quite easily in most sports and other aspects. She does not, however, lose any stamina while swimming or flying, possibly to do with her love of them both.
Weapon-work
Sindre is below average to very bad in most weapons apart from the cross-bow and swords. She struggles with techniques in particular, and often loses her balance with heavier weapons.
Temper
Sindre has quite a temper, and is easily flared up in certain subjects.
Focus
Sindre's attention span is quite short, and seeing a bird in the sky is enough to make her stop and stare. It doesn't take much to get her out of these 'trances', however.
FEARS: Death, in general.
Losing friends, family e.t.c.
Being exiled
Terrible Terrors
Smaller dragons
AMBITIONS: To start a few competitions involving dragons, such as flying and flaming contests
To be the best she can in each aspect of Viking training
To become a great Viking: a legendary Viking
To overcome her fears of Terrible Terrors
SECRETS: She is freaked out and generally scared by terrible terrors
Her many hiding places and secret areas
PERSONALITY: Sindre matches her dragon’s personality well. She is quite the reverse of her fiery dragon in that she is the Viking equivalent of shy]. In fact, you could describe her as quite awkward outsiders, being quite the judging type. However, once you get to know her, Sindre is very outgoing and confident, easily keeping up conversations. In fact, once she knows you and you know her, she is very sarcastic, cheerful and, in a way, strange in front of her friends. She is very eccentric, erratic and rambunctious, often having play-fights with friends. Due to this, Sindre is strong and, despite her appearance, is quite well muscled.
Despite her shyer outer appearance, Sindre is still a very hard worker and will willingly work with others. She is quite brave, but will generally back down from a serious fight with another Viking, for as long as it is over something trivial.
When standing up for her friends or her family, Sindre is very hot tempered, abandoning her shy attitude in an instant. She will lash out at any wrong-doing to them. She holds grudges for a very long time, not forgetting if you said anything against her. In some ways, she is very over-protective.
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Finna is tall for her age, standing at 5 ft 8”. She isn’t skinny, and leans more towards ‘normal’ weight for her height. Her skin is strangely tanned for the colder isle of Berk, but it is expected due to the amount of dragon riding she does each day. Her face is heart shaped and is not sharply cut: her chin is more rounded and she has high cheek bones. Her eyes are a dark teal-blue colour, which are much like the sea, and she is in possession of longer eye lashes han most. Finna has a light sprinkling of freckles on her cheeks and nose. Her hair is much like sheep’s’ wool: fluffy, untidy-looking and hard to contain. It is a dark, chocolatey colour at the roots, but about half way down starts to gradient to blonde. The very tips of her chest-height hair are almost completely blonde in colour, leaning slightly towards a dirty blonde.
Finna wears a wooden helmet with curved, ram horns and a metal rim. She wears a faded blue shirt under her dark brown body-warmer, which has sheep’s wool inside of it. On her legs, she wears black leggings as well as a maroon skirt with a bronze belt. Her boots are also fur-lined and are dark brown.
HISTORY: Sindre was born into a family of three, on a bitterly cold, snowy night. Her brother, Fenrir, was already five and, as she grew up, she found out that she really disliked having a brother. He started Viking training when she was eight, which made her insanely jealous at him. During that time, around a tenth of her day was spent bickering with him.
Siblings aside, Sindre was a lot like she is now: outgoing and eccentric, but shy around strangers. She often went out against her parent's will, wondering around Toothless' forest for the most part. It was in one of these ventures that she met her dragon. It was not the best first encounter: Frostbite was caught in an old dragon trap, and extremely mistrustful of Sindre, who was eleven at the time. She had no idea what to do with the dragon, but, after a long time of persuading Frostbite, managed to undo the trap. After that, Frostbite instantly flew away to the mountains and Sindre didn't see her again until one and a half years later. This was at a small pond at the base of the mountains: Frostbite was fishing and Sindre watched. After a while, Sindre started to inch closer to Frostbite with offerings of even more fish. The progress was slow, but the two finally made a bond. It was a few days after her birthday that Frostbite let Sindre ride on her, and dragon training started up from there. The two are now a lot closer, and fly in a lot more harmony.
PARENTS, FRIENDS, OTHER FAMILY: Father - Bernalf Bear-face
Mother - Elsie the Sleek
Brother - Fenrir the hot-head
WEAPON OF CHOICE: A longsword
DRAGON NAME: Frostbite
DRAGON TYPE: Polar Serpent
Polar Serpents are quite big, long dragons with a snake-like body and head. Their scales are snowy white, larger around their chest and neck, and are pointed at the tips, which are generally hinted with a cool colour (blue, purple, some greens). Polar Serpents have quite thin, yet rather big eyes, which are comparable to those of cats. Along their backs, and in some cases, on their cheeks and 'elbows', are blue, purple or green spikes that are icy in colour and appearance, being quite opaque, like ice. Polar Serpents have a very long nose spike, which is around half the weight of their body-length (tail included). Their fire is generally blue-teal in colour and is given out in short, sharp bursts, and is quite liquid-y, with Polar Serpents breathing it out in streams. Their fire is not like the normal, hot stuff, but instead freezes their prey and enemys. Contact with their fire causes frost-bite, instead of burning, but apart from that acts like normal fire.
Frostbite is a normal-sized Polar Serpent, being around 4-4.3 metres long. She has a blue-teal fire, and her scales and spikes are hinted with light teal.
DRAGON PERSONALITY: Cheeky and sarcastic, Frostbite constantly flirts playfully with other dragons, though no-one has caught her heart. She can be selfish, and is known to be quite flighty, but is exceedingly loyal and brave and generally knows when to shut her mouth and be serious. Frostbite is a good friend, but can be extremely distrustful of outsider dragons and it can take a long time to get to her softer, gentle side.
Frostbite enjoys swimming, hunting for fish and flying, but prefers to keep off of the ground unless it is icy or snowy. She highly enjoys skating on the ice and playing in the snow, loving to belly-surf on ice. On top of this, she dislikes playing in fire like some dragons do, as she much prefers to be cooler. When she is flying, swimming or ice-skating, she is a huge show-off, but is also modest at the same time. She feels like she must improve all the time.
DRAGON TECHNIQUES: Frostbite depends much more on offense than defence. Her back spikes, although sharp, are not very durable at all and her scales are definitely not the hardest in the dragon world. In fact, her defence is shatteringly bad, which is why she generally attacks as fast as possible. Her offence is her biggest defence, though she does use her horn to parry the weaker physical attacks, rather like a fencer uses rapiers. In fact, she uses her horn exactly like a rapier and is quite advanced in ‘sword play’, using her fast reflexes to stab at her opponents weak-points. Her fire is icy, and is fired out in quick bouts of liquid-y bullet-like rounds. They travel at around thirty miles per hour, and spread out quite quickly despite their smallness. Frostbite is a glass-cannon; she can hit hard and fast, but she is very frail, quite easily getting too hurt to go on in battles.

Sindre's eyes flew open as, with a crack like a whip, she was flung backwards through the air. Breath billowing out in a misty cloud, she let out a small moaning sound with the remnants of her breath. She felt her lungs scream indignantly for air as her winded body fell into a bush blanketed with bitingly cold snow. Disorientated for a second, she stared woozily up at the pine trees that arched over her, before gulping down breaths of soothing, icy-cold air. It was at this time that, in an almost comical sense, a lump of snow slid from the beautifully scented pine-needles and dropped down onto Sindre with a distinctive 'whump' sound.
Spluttering and coughing, Sindre spat some half-melted snow from her mouth and sat upwards from the uncomfortable bush and blinked, squinting forwards as she wiped the freezing sleet-like snow from her rosy face. She was met with the threatening gaze of a dragon, which crouched in the middle of a forest-clearing in Toothless' Woods. That particular dragon whipped it's long tail, which had previously caused Sindre to fly backwards, back and forth in agitation and bared it's needle sharp teeth at her with a snake-like hiss. Moaning softly, Sindre dragged herself from the bush, trying half-heartedly to not make any sudden movements. Icy eyes watched her with a gaze like a snake that felt particularly threatened. Scowling, the Polar Serpent took a purposeful step forwards, which made Sindre want to take a quick step backwards before pelting back to the village. But that would be stupid. Instead, she took a shuddering breath, ignoring the sharp pain on her chest from where she had been hit by the dragon's swinging tail, and slowly moved her gloved hand towards her brown fur coats pocket. The Polar Serpent crouched down even further, snowy white scales gleaming harshly in the bright, winter sunlight.
"Ok...'s ok. I wont hurt you," Sindre started out shakily, before forcefully making her voice stronger. "I brought you something! Look, look..." She slowly brought out the cold, slimy fish that occupied her pocket and held it out slowly to the suspicious dragon that stood proudly before her. "Fish...you like fish don't you?
Her slitted eyes loosened, and she stepped back slightly, before sitting down slowly. Her gaze shifted from the fish to Sindre, as if to say 'Well go on then. I havent got all day.'
Sighing in relief, Sindre's mouth instinctively moved into a smile, and she tossed the fish at her waiting client. Jumping effortlessly up, she caught the fish deftly in her jaws and swallowed just as she landed, causing bitter snow to jump up in a small frenzy. The Polar Serpent shook her head absent-mindedly and then slowly inched towards Sindre, who smiled nervously, fumbling in her pocket for the other fish. Upon drawing out the slimy, silvery animal, the dragon opposite her instantly jumped forwards, snatching the fish from her hand and landing a few meters away, skidding to a halt and smiling slyly at Sindre who had almost fallen over again.
"Huh, rude!" she scolded her new friend (well...hopefully), who regarded her with laughing eyes. This superior attitude was dropped when Sindre withdrew another fish, from her left pocket this time, and waved it in a care-free manner.
"This is my fish. Don't think about stealing i-" Sindre smiled, knowing the Polar Serpent would go for the fish. Sure enough, her sentence was cut off by a flurry of white: the fish whisked up in a heartbeat. The white flurry gulped up the fish, sniggering at the look of mock-outrage on Sindre's face.
"Now, that's the last fish, but maybe I could-" Sindre started hopefully, but at the mention of 'the last fish', the Polar Serpent snorted and ran sideways across the snowy clearing, using the momentum to take off. "Just...pat you..."
Sindre sighed in disappointment as the snowy white dragon soared off, over the tree-tops and out to the mountains. Maybe next time...
