ORIGINS: She is 15 years old, born on February 14. Angel was born in London in England. She was trained in combat at a very young age, learning to use bladed weapons, bow and arrows, and even just her bare hands. She comes from a family that believes in fighting to protect ones self, and punish those that deserve it. The training was harsh and left her with numerous emotional scars. At the age of 14 she completed her fighting training. Angel grew up with both her parents for the majority of her life, but lost her father in war when she was ten. In his will he left her the family's dearest friend, thier dragon, Cyra. Growing up with Cyra, the two had bonded in Angel's childhood, becomeing inseperable friends. At 12 she lost her mother and was then alone on the family estate. Feeling alone, she decided to travel, taking Cyra off to see the world and evetually arriveing on Berk.

OCCUPATION: Angel is a Warrior. She fights and takes over whole continents. She is widely known as "Hell's Angel".

WEAPON(S) OF CHOICE:

▪ Lydia. It is a sword forged from ebony and steal by her family's sword smith. In her family, runes are engraved into the blade of a weapon to symbolize accomplishments, tragedies, promised and the like. The blade of her sword is six and a half feet long and seven inches wide. The hilt is one foot in length. There is a place kept open at the end on the engraveing area of the blade to be filled in with the rune symbolizeing death upon the keeper's passing.

DRAGON PERSONALITY: Cyra is picky about who she will get close to. She's Been in Angel's family for many years and never bonded with anybody outside Angel and her parents. Cyra is like Angel. She's distant to strangers but caring to those she knows. Ahe loves Angel with all her heart and would give her life to protect her.

On BerksDragons, we try to strive for realism with our characters. For example, there is no way a girl with a body and limbs like toothpicks that could wield a sword bigger than herself! Already swords like this don't exist in the real world, because they would be very impractical to use. Rainbow highlights? How, in this time period?

Dominating continents? What the heck?

How can she be nice and caring, yet simultaneously be a killing machine?

We'd prefer it if we kept to the Viking theme and have her origins somewhere more... Scandinavian. If you're dead-set on having her a Brit, you could make her originate from Red Rock, a place in the Northenmost points of Scotland, made up by Curtis.

How can she be sweet and nice yet simultaniously a kill machine? She's bipolar.
Her limbs are not like toothpicks. And why can't she carry a sword that's bigger than her? Hiccup carries an axe that wieghts much more than him and Astrid's muscle's aren't really visible but she can throw a weapon that looks too big for her.
Scotland is not British. Its Scotish. British is British.
Don't lose hope. Hope is now lost. This is the second application i've made. My characters just aren't good enough. So they will take thier useless rejected selves elsewhere.

I know you will almost sertainly not see this but I thought I might as well say thing jsut in case.

We weren't meaning to take offence, but understand that we have quarms about six foot vikingy vikings carrying a sword like the one you showed. there's that axe and then there's Gatts' sword from Berserk. Also if she is bipolar we kind of needed to be told that otherwise we'd just assume is bad continuity.

All of Red's critiques were fair and reasoned and we don't want you to think that we were being overly harsh of your creativity. We crit like we do because (as we have learnt from experience) the only way to get good at stuff is when what your doing is pointed out to you and you're told how to be better. You can leave this site if you want, but understand that we do this to help you get to be the best you can be.

On a side not, Britain did not exist in the medieval period, it was England, Scotland and Wales. So Scottish is British.

There's critisizeing my art and writing. That's one thing, but critisizeing my characters on who they are is something completely different. If somebody walked up to you on your way to school and said, "Your muscles don't look strong enough to carry that bookbag, so stop it and either get stronger or find a different bookbag." you'd be pretty offended.
What if you tried out for the school play and they said, "You read those lines well, but you're all wrong for this play. Multi colured hair won't do, so go home and dye it. I'm sorry, but you can't have the part unless you change yourself completely."
I'm not sure about you but that would hit me hard. Every character a person creates is like a little part of themself. Telling them to change to fit the status quo is offensive and hurts. I put myself in all i do and i don't mind when people say my art or writing is bad, but when you tell me i'm not good enough that's crossing the line. And don't say that you didn't say that, because saying my characters aren't good enough is the same as saying i'm not.
So, i'm done with this place. If i wanted to be judged i'd go back to high school. I'm out.

Look, I'm an artist too. Crits help me improve. If someone says my art is bad, then ok, it's bad. But if you don't say HOW it's bad, I would never be able to fix my faults to be better in the future. I too, put my life and soul into my stuff, and sure, I get bashed about by my professors in Design school, it hurts to know something you've done isnt up to scratch, but without pointers you'll just remain in the same rutt for however long it takes until yku accept criticisms.

To your examples. If you're not strong, you wouldn't be able to carry a heavy schoolbag in the first place. If the character doesnt even have any evidence of muscles, I doubt she'd be able to even lift a hunk of metal off the ground. Even standard boring swords can be rather heavy.

I also put myself into my characters, but I only put hints of personality, and let the characters develop into their own beings. If you're just transferring yourself into a fictional state, you have to be prepared that the world you're in isnt the same as the fictional world. History, physique and so on will be changed because of these differences. In the Viking era, rainbow hair dyes don't exist, as well as any other kind of hair dyes. I'd go on, but seeing how you do not wish to accept our critiques, I cannot help you further.

Bear in mind I cannot accept apps until they have been edited to suit the world they live in, in this case, the barbaric Archipelago, Viking Era, with addition of dragons as the only fantasy inclusion.

I don't mind critizisms of my art and writing. That wasn't the point of my speech. Criticize my art as much as you like, tell me my writing is terrible. That stuff i don't mind.
I just won't accept it if you criticize my characters. When you do that its like you're walking up to my best friend and telling her she's ugly and will never get a date, then proceeding to tell her exactly why she's ugly. I don't stand for it.
Also know that i know you can't accept app until they fit your description of good. Don't accept my app, that's fine, but i'm not changeing it. Just because you and your leader have an iron-hard ideal of what is good does not mean i will conform to it. My idea of good is just as good as your idea of good. Twisted Persona does not sell out, does not conform, does not accept insults.
I'm a top musician in the Emo world, so i don't need you to like me. And i won't be judged.

Okay, if that's your view that then I won't try and force you to stay or come to our opinion. Just please understand we weren't judging you when we reviewed your application, because we didn't realised you'd take offence to constructive criticism about your art (because to us, the characters in stories are art). We weren't calling you ugly, we were just saying that if you put a girl from the 20th century in a viking world you'd need to change her to fit in. You may think it's asking to much, but you're the first the multiple years this place has been on the internet to think so.

If we can not sway you that what we were doing was reasonable to get a char into a semi-realistic roleplaying world, then please don't reply to this, just remember that if you do aim to join a different RP site, make sure it's one that your char will fit into before you show it to them, because otherwise you'll get the exact same response we gave you.

I will reply, but that doesn't mean i agree.
First, i'm not taking offense to constructive criticism. I'm taking offense to the fact that you want me to be a mindless drone and get rid of any unique part of my character so she fits your standards. So sorry i'm not a zombie.
Second, she's not from the 20th century. If she were i would have given her an AK47 instead of an awesome sword.
Third, you are asking too much. To change her would erase her identity and make her somebody else. That's not OK.
Fourth, i'm sure i'm not to first person to join here with a spine. Everybody else probably left to some better site where they aren't asked to be clones of everybody else.
Fifth, I have joined a different site and they welcomed individuality. I thought here would be the same but i was wrong. Sorry RP Nazis, but that's your own fault for not being open to being different from your average joe.
Sixth, Goodbye RP Nazis! I bid you a fond farewell and hope you'll learn to be better about understand those who aren't exactly like you.
