DATE & TIME : August 18th WEATHER CONDITIONS : cloudy CHARACTERS INVOLVED : Anyone who does/doesn't give a damn about Ulrika PREVIOUS THREADS ? Raiders of the Lost Cause.
Timber had been flying around the island for a few days now. She was very, very nervous about what was to happen. But she couldn't hold out any longer now. She had to tell them. It was better they knew than not know at all.
Coming around to the village, she saw there was a training session just ending. Knott could at least let her classmates know... She circled down and landed outside the arena, near the bridge. Her body language reeked of guilt and sadness.
The ViT's came out of their lesson. Timber's ears were flattened, her body low to the ground, pupils dilated and a sad croon escaping her throat.
"I... I have some bad news." She heaved a breath and gulped. It had to be done. "Ulrika took me to Hysteria. Tried to make me attack them... We got attacked and she fell... and... I don't want to think what happened next."
Timber lowered herself to the ground in shame.

Post by Chad & Nappy & Dagger on Jan 27, 2013 15:20:27 GMT -5
Chad was just tailing behind the group of students when they all seemed to stop and stare at something. What it was, Chad didn't know until he managed to push through them to the front. He blinked a couple times not really believing his eyes. There stooped a Night Fury. One that looked positively ashamed of itself no less it started rumbling in dragonese and not for the last time, Chad wished he knew what it was saying. Instead he looked around for Grima. Spotting him he raised an eyebrow. He walked over to the young boy, not really wanting all the others to hear what he had to ask him. In a near whisper he spoke. "Well what is it saying? If its something bad, let me send away the others before you start to speak. Don't want them to have to hear anything bad." He looked towards his pupils who were staring at the Night Fury as if they were wanting to tame it themselves. But for a reason Chad couldn't figure out, he couldn't help but think that it had a trainer. Night Furies didn't act like this. Not unless they cared for someone deeply and that someone was hurt or worse. And judging by this one, it was almost like she knew something bad had happened, just not what. His eyes flicked from the pupils, to the Fury, and back to Grima. He needed to know what the dragon was saying. Boy did he wish what it was saying. It would make his job a heck of a lot easier. He had been trying to learn it of course, but he had only just started. What with helping his parents take care of his sister and teaching these bands of misfits, he hardly had the time. Wait, one misfit was gone. His eyes widened for a moment. Ulrika hadn't been to his past two lessons. Sure she had missed one before. But never two in a row. His eyes turned to look at the Night Fury, disbelief crowding his features. Right away he got to work. He raised his voice and started ushering everyone away. "Okay! Nothing to see here! Go on before I give you guys homework. I need to talk to Grima and this Night Fury. Go on, get!"When the last kid went he turned to Grima. Motioning towards the Night Fury he looked to the boy who Ulrika had probably told everything too. Though the two fought tooth and nail, Ulrika had always seemed to be with him. Chad figured Grima would know. "Tell me everything you know about Ulrika and this Night Fury." His voice was worried. He hoped and prayed that nothing bad had happened too her. He wouldn't feel too good if one of his students had gone and gotten himself/herself hurt. He turned to Dagger who was laying across his shoulders and in a low whisper told him to go find Summer. If something bad had happened, he could use all the eyes he could get. He trusted her and her dragon to anything and everything they did. After all, he did train them himself. ((Hope this is fine ))

Post by Brynhilder and Shock on Jan 28, 2013 0:18:04 GMT -5
Ever the rebel, Bryn cleared out when she was told to...but circled back around on Shock, setting down lightly on the top of the Academy "roof" to listen in. Or rather, for Shock to listen in and tell Bryn, since her hearing wasn't quite good enough to hear what would probably be a quiet conversation, not to mention that she could barely understand the obscure language of the dragons, save for Shock. So far all she knew was Ulrika was MIA, probably captured on Hysteria, thanks to Shock's quick translation. And Timber was here. Whispering into her dragon's ear slit, she murmured, "Do you know much about them?" Shock shook her head in response, nearly catching Bryn on the jaw. When Shock transmitted Chad's question, Bryn racked her brain for anything she knew about her fellow VIT. Less then you might think, since they were in different classes, but Bryn managed to pull up a small amount of information on the girl. She didn't like taking orders or doing nothing. She was stronger then she looked, and agile. She was also naive and gullible. Not good when in enemy hands. Of course, Bryn didn't know for sure that the Hysterians had her...yet.

Post by Jovic and Little Wildfire on Jan 28, 2013 2:19:12 GMT -5
Looking over his shoulder, Jovic caught one of the young vikings, likely a ViT, moving in on his observation area. He had been watching the training session, ever the scholar of physical discipline. The vikings cherished brute strength and lacked....finesse. He heard something in dragonese about a girl in danger and was about to speak up to offer help when he saw the girl come up on him.
By this time he'd learned a couple of key phrases in viking, but was unsure of the severity. He put his finger over his lips in a shushing gesture and pointed down. "Danger.. no safe.. girl......Hysteria." He said whispering. He paused on the last word, it was a word he'd not been comfortable with, since not everyone else was comfortable using it. "Quiet.. I listen." He sure hoped this viking spoke Dragonese, because he'd just used most of his vocabulary minus greetings and farewells.
He despised sneaking, especially when he could get in trouble, but if there was a girl in trouble, Jovic wasn't about to let her go unaided. He had to hear more, he wasn't above embarking on a quest with as little as "Hysteria" and "girl", but he'd rather avoid searching in places he'd need not search. He held up a hand slightly toward the girl that had snuck up to the top to remind her to be quiet, before she even began to make noise.

Post by Grima, Stahl & Flint on Jan 30, 2013 16:53:13 GMT -5
Grima had come out with other ViT’s to see Knott out there. The moment he’d seen Ulrika’s dragon he’d frozen to the spot. The way she was acting, and Ulrika’s absence, he knew what she was going to say before the dragon even said it.
Well, he hadn’t expected the exacts, maybe she’d fallen off Knott and she hadn’t caught her in time…or she’d pissed of a dragon that she couldn’t run away from fast enough…in fact the unsureness about the fact Ulrika was dead hadn’t been something he’d expected…but the point behind it he had. Knott had failed to stop her human from doing something too stupid to be saved from.
He wanted to react to it, say something, express surprise, anger, sadness. But he was mute. Chad, despite his lack of knowledge of Dragonese, realised something was up, sent the other vits away to and asked him what had Knott said. And then asked about Ulrika. “Same as everyone,” he muttered, “It’s her dragon.” (While she hadn’t actually done the threads yet, as far as IC time’s concerned, it’s public knowledge that Ulrika has Timber by this point)
He glared at Knott before half whispering, “A dragon who agreed to go to Hysteria with her. A dragon that lost her there, a dragon who left her there!” the last part he shouted at the night fury in dragonese. He turned away from them and started to walk off. If Chad, or anyone, tried to stop him he’d shake them off. He wanted to be alone. He needed to be alone.
(OOC: apologies for those that thought I was going to have Grima in here for very long. I know enough about Grima and how he'd be feeling right now to know that he needs to leave people. He's going to get violent if I don't and no one wants to rp with that. Also yes Red, Grima will be calling her Knott, he'll have learnt if from his first encounter with the dragon [when we eventually do that] and he'd prefer it to Timberbane.)

Post by Summer & Fireworm on Feb 3, 2013 4:02:24 GMT -5
Summer was sitting inside her house, looking at the box Horik had given her awhile ago. She smiled as she remembered the day even though they had been chased by a Skrill. She was just sticking some things in it when she heard a tapping at her door. Confused, since she wasn't expecting anyone, she walked over and opened it. At first she didn't see anything. She looked straight ahead but only looked down once she heard a low growl. Seeing Dagger standing there, she raised an eyebrow an looked at him. Dagger looked at her then started to fly away. "What the?" She stopped talking and closed the door, confused as ever.
Fireworm on the other hand was laying outside. She opened an eye lazily as she heard the flapping of tiny wings. Seeing the Terrible Terror she gave a huff of annoyance and watched as it flew over to Summer's door and tapped on it with one of his paws. It took a couple seconds for Summer to come out and when Dagger started to fly away she closed the door. So the Terror flew over to Fireworm. With a huff, he landed in front of her. "Chad wants to speak to Summer about something. Ulrika's Night Fury left her on our enemies territory." Fireworm stood up with a groan and walked over to the door. "Sounds like its an emergency. Come on." A few minutes later Summer turned as Fireworm pushed open the door with her head. She looked at her confused, but when Fireworm started backing up and looking towards the arena. Summer sighed and grabbed her bow and arrows, not knowing what her dragon was getting her into. "Fine. I'm coming, I'm coming." Se hopped on her dragon and turned towards Dagger. "Come on Dagger. We can get there faster."With that Fireworm took off into the air. After a short flight to the arena, they circled once before dropping down next to Chad, Nappy, and the Night Fury. "You have two people and their dragons watching you over at the top of the arena." She said in a whisper. She looked to Chad and the Night Fury, who looked totally ashamed of itself. "So what's wrong?" She didn't know dragonese, so she didn't know how she could be any help. Unless of course, they needed to fly over to Hysteria.[/blockquote]
