DATE & TIME : September 12th - Very Early Morning WEATHER CONDITIONS : No clouds, slightly windy CHARACTERS INVOLVED : Stormy, Selene, Crystal, and Winter PREVIOUS THREADS ? None
------------------
Tiny Terrors flew around the albino dragon as if they were vultures. Crystal was sure if they got close enough, she'd have one of them for her meal.
She held the fish in her mouth, and found a small clearing to start eating; hoping to get away from the terrors. But when it came to luck, Crystal always lost. The tiny terrors flooded around her, with some still flying above her.
Crystal curled around her catch, glanced up at the terrors, only to find that some had decided to get within striking distance. With her bad eyesight, she only saw small blurs, but that didn't stop her in the least. She growled and huffed out a puff of air in annoyance when the scavengers started squabbling amongst themselves. 'Little Pests.'
She snapped when one of them tried to sneak closer. Her jaws made a frightening 'snap' when they cam together. Some of the smaller, weaker terrors jumped in surprise, and flew off, but the more daring ones only edged closer. And Crystal wasn't afraid to show the nuisances the damage her beak could do.
But before she could even snap at one of them, they scattered at the crackling of leaves across the clearing. Crystal stood upright and listened for the animal making the noise. Soon enough, another terror stumbled into the clearing. Crystal rolled her one good eye, and resumed her meal; keeping her guard up in case one of them returned...

Darkness crawled his way along a slim path beside along the mountain, gripping the stone to keep from sliding off. His rider, Arnorda, felt nervous along this narrow path, and he didnt blame her. Rocks cracked under the shear mass of his weight, cracking and tumbling into the black abyss below.
"You alright back there?"He called to Arnorda, who just whispered back to him, acknowledging that she was alright for the moment. Darkness sighed, and continued to crawl along the path.
It came up to a dead end, and Darkness growled. Oh of course.. He muttered to himself. Looking up, he noticed a large gathering of terrors. Some poor dragon must have fish or something of the sorts to make them gather around. Sliding off the path, he spread his wings and glided towards the gathering of terrors.
Crawling around a ledge, he spotted a white dragon with some fish, trying to keep the pests at bay. He let out a signature whispering death hiss, making some scatter that were above. His large, snaking body slithered along the rocky wall. Arnorda let out a squeak of surprise, unable to see the white dragon below... ((Darkness is a whispering death, but he's not full size yet...))

A large red figure shot into the sky. Large wings beating at a rapid pace as the red scaled dragon shot through the clouds, moisture clinging to them. With a quick spin, Winter curved and delved down, wings pulled tight to his bodice as he shot down toward the mix of green and gray below. Using his wings to start another spin cycle, Winter fell quicker, the leather wings shooting open before he collided with the large trees and a cliffside, his form shooting over the tops.
A grin broke across his maw as he looked backwards, snorting in accomplishement of the speed actually knocking some tree tops off, of course since he wasn't looking, the western dragon didn't see the cliffside he turned to, and slammed right into it. His nostrils pressed into rock and snorted in dust and his claws slammed against, stopping his body from slamming into the rock face as well. With a sneeze he fell backwards and landed against the ground; the squabbling of terrors echoing slightly.

Carrying her bow and arrow, Selene made her way to her favorite practicing range; a small field with few flowers in the middle.
She strung the bow and checked to make sure there was the right amount of tension by playing it like a harp. After checking multiple times, Selene carefully made her way over the rocks, and small streams as she made her way to the clearing.
But she stopped short after seeing a group of tiny terrors flying overhead. She followed them, curious to find the reason that got them so riled up.
She quickly realized that they'd led her to the clearing she had already sought out for. She watched as the terrors flew to the other side of the small field.
Selene dropped her bow and arrows immediately. The white dragon she'd been seeking for. The reason why she'd left her village. Her hope of a new family... Crystal.
The dragon's head lifted at the sound of Selene's bow hitting the ground. She expected the dragon to go into a defensive crouch, but the reptile remained somewhat docile with her presence, and continued eating their fish.
Selene cautiously took a step toward Crystal. The dragon didn't even look up. Another hesitant step, and still nothing. She was almost within the dragon's range of attack, so she began to hold her hand out to show the dragon she meant no harm.
Crystal raised her head further, and blew a gust of air through her nostrils. Selene swallowed nervously, and took one last step towards the larger animal. Crystal made a curious humming purr, and sniffed the girl's hand.
Selene was frozen to her spot. With the animal this close to her, she suddenly realized how powerful it was. She knew that it could easily kill her with it's jaw, or even with a sweep of its tail.
But she had no reason to worry. Crystal purred and licked the girl's hand. Selene rested her palm onto the dragon's scars, and smiled.
This happiness only lasted a few seconds though. Crystal had suddenly risen from her lied position, to a fully defensive crouch in front of Selene. But not against her. Crystal was protecting her. The girl gasped at the dragon's reaction, and waited for whatever had spooked the dragon...

Darkness growled slightly, but it was cut off abruptly. Movement caught his eye, seeing a small human figure sneaking near towards the white dragon. His head swiveled towards the two, curiosity on how this will end. Will the white dragon just ignore the human and continue eating, or will the viking get shredded by the creatures sharp teeth.
What happened next surprised the large Whispering Death, is that the girl went and touched the dragons head. It didnt react as a wild, but as a tamed dragon being brushed by its rider. But afterwards, it sprung into a defensive crouch infront of the young viking. Something spooked it. A loud crash followed after, as a red blur streaked by and slammed head first into the cliff above him.
Darkness blended well with the rocky outcropping, his scales camouflaging against the grey background. Arnorda stayed dead silent, watching this unfold from behind Darkness' spikey head...

Laying upon the grassy ground dased, Winter rolled over before shaking his head, eyes closing to a meer slit as his vision continued to spiral and blurr in front of him. With his sight inpaired, Winter sniffed the air, taking in the scent of terrors and two other dragon species that he couldn't place, along with two humans. He couldn't place where they were though as he turned his head to try to pinpoint.
"I smell two humans and dragons. Where are you? Don't want to step on anyone know." He really should be careful of what he does with his age, he seriously didn't want to loose his sight. Hopefully someone would answer him though. He wasn't finished with his morning flight exercises.

Crystal's body tensed further when she heard another dragon speak. She went on high alert and checked her surroundings for a future way of escape. Clearly she'd fly to avoid any unnecessary conflict, but then she thought of the human girl. Surely she wouldn't be able to follow?
'Why do I care about a human anyway? They're weaklings compared me. This girl would die in a heartbeat against a dragon'
Her instincts to run skidded to a halt at the thought of the girl getting killed. Crystal may be a dragon, but it doesn't mean she's heartless. She covered the girl with her wing when she caught scent of two other dragons, and a human.
Selene on the other hand, seemed to be in shock when Crystal curled her underneath her wing. The dragon had known the webbing was easily torn, and yet trusted the girl enough to have her this close to the thin fabric-like material.
"Whoever's nearby should leave. NOW. Nobody has to get hurt today." Crystal snapped her jaws again to make sure no one snuck up behind her.

Darkness felt the need to calm the dragon down. Even though his species were pretty scary creatures at times, he had a soft heart for others. His dark green eyes glowed against the dark stone color, and he took a quick breath.
"There is nothing to fear, white dragons..." He slid off the side of the cliff face, sliding down down the edge slowly. His clawed wings skidded against the rock, and he felt his rider shift uncomfortably.
His large eyes shifted from both dragons, making sure they wouldnt attack him. If they tried, he'd probably bare his sharp teeth and move into a defensive position to protect Arnorda.
Arnorda watched her dragon shift off the stone wall, and heard him say something in dragonese to the others. She shifted on his scaly back, holding onto his horns for stability. His saddle felt strange, since she had gotten a new one.
She noticed a human, being protected by the albino. Was the human its rider? The dragon had no saddle of the sorts or anything...

Winter stretched his neck out and laid his head against the ground. Was the dragon blind? His scales were red, a dark color at that. The other dragon might be white, but he couldn't tell, his sight was just starting to change to a mass of colors. The other dragon could hush it, there was no way that Winter was going to try to fly at this time. He wasn't mean enough to attack others unless they started it and usually then he prefered to just leave without confontation.
Writers block and school is a terrible mix.

Crystal refused to relax at the Whispering Death's words. Instead, she lowered herself further to the ground, and forcing Selene into a crouching position.
Selene, still stunned by Crystal's defense, hesitantly placed a hand on the dragon's right shoulder. Crystal's body seemed to loosen, if not relax to the girl' touch. Selene softly shushed to dragon as she slid her hand back and forth across Crystal's shoulder.
Crystal swung her head side to side slowly, while creating small 'knocks' to get a sense of where the other dragons and human were. She snapped her jaws together one last time, before finally fully relaxing her muscles. Seeing as the dragon was relaxed, Selene glanced over at the Whispering Death and its rider. Assuming that they didn't have ill intent, Selene stepped ahead of Crystal's defense.
"Stay behind me human!" Crystal growled as she swung her head in front of Selene, preventing the girl from moving forward again.
But Crystal soon realized that by doing so, it left her left side blind. She didn't know why she was so easily putting her life in danger for a weak human girl, but she didn't stop doing it either. Crystal just kept 'knocking' every few seconds instead.

Darkness watched on with interest, making hushing sounds to try and calm the frightened white dragon. He slowly slithered down the cliff face, touching flat surface and now face to face with both dragons. "Calm, we dont mean to hurt you." He mumbled, then felt the weight on the back of his neck lighten.
Arnorda had jumped off Darkness' back, and slowly walked towards the semi blind dragon. She dropped her bow and dagger, which she had on for hunting later, as well as dropping her arrows. She heard Darkness' hushed whispers telling her to stop what she's doing and get back.
Something wasnt clicking in Arnorda's brain, the danger that presented itself when approaching a wild animal, especially a wild, frightened dragon. This wasnt going to end well... -What would add some action is if Crystal snapped at a point xD Just an idea :3-

At least the strange dragon finally relaxed. Finally being able to view the other two dragons, Winter concluded that he has yet to encounter such different ones. The white one reminded him of a Wyvern, only with a beak which would explain the knocking sound. And the Whispering Death wasn't even of much interest; considering they were more in tuned with each other, what with both having humans and all. Well he might as well get comfortable, it might be awhile before he leaves. Someone needed to be there should a fight insure; to both separate them and keep the humans out of harms way.

The girl that had come with the Whispering was coming nearer, and Crystal crouched lower, the closer she came. Selene didn't see the same danger the dragon did, so she shoved her way past Crystal's head.
"Hi...Sorry for... um... her. I'm Selene." She told the other girl. It was clear she wasn't used to talking at all. There were slurred words where they wouldn't be normally.
Meanwhile, Crystal took a few, very hesitant steps towards Selene, when she smelt the other dragon from earlier. She kept her one good eye pointed in the Whispering Death's direction. "This human may not understand me, but I know you do." She warned the dragon. "No one touches her. I swear if anyone attacks her... I'll tear them to shreds."
(Short, I know, but I was totally brain dead)

Darkness turned to the white dragon. "She wouldnt hurt her, and yet, why do you care? You look like a wild dragon... Or am I wrong?" He questioned her. His rider wouldn't hurt anyone, unless she was attacked first. Thats the rule both of them lived by.
Arnorda nodded in understanding. "I know what you mean, dragons can be on the defensive side at times." She looked at Crystal. "Do you know her name?" She asked with curiosity.
((Gah this is baaad))
