PERSONALITY: Thora is your average viking. Eager to fight, loves to hunt, can't wait to go out for the next ride on her dragon, and yet Thora has something deeper down telling her she wants more. Thora loves to sing, loves attention, even if she's occasionally forgetful and easily gets lost if she's too far from Berk. Thora has a strong desire to work with kids, to train them with their new dragons, and most of all to have plenty of her own. She's strongly empathetic towards kids her age, and younger, but carries a slight rejection towards adults because of the way that they place all of the stress on the younger generation.
Thora tends to be happy, seeing as there's not much she has to be upset about, aside from the occasional time her cot is set on fire, there isn't a lot to whine about. She is often found at the training centre, watching the new recruits, or out in the woods, bringing in a kill for her mother to cook. She tends to stick close to Berk, unless on/with her dragon, Verofa. She has a terrible sense of direction, and is often winding herself into situations that she'd rather not be in, because of it. Thora loves adventuring, and will join any group that extends an offer, especially if there's a group of younger children who would need watching. You can often see her around the town square, singing or acting out a little story to entertain children who's parents are raiding, or fighting across the sea.
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Thora is a viking of average looks, neither hideous or extremely pretty. She's a comely sort of person, with long, fair brown hair, and bright shining blue eyes. She carries a bright smile, most days, and ties her hair back into a braid. Thora is fairly tall for a woman, long legs and long arms make her good for running, and using a bow and arrow. She has spattering of scars along her arms, legs, and back, but nothing extremely serious Most are from stupid accidents that she made while fighting, sparring, or trying to steer Verofa. The most noticable of which is a small one, just above her right eye. It wasn't a large fight that gave it to her, but a pacing branch that whipped her in the face on her first flight with Verofa alone. She still laughs when telling the story, to this day.
Thora isn't very picky about what she wears, but around the village it normally consists of whatever smells the best. Often this is cotton shirts, with very little pattern, or none, and pants of hide. She normally has her bow and arrows slung across her back, when either coming in from a hunt, or heading out for one. She doesn't have many outfits to "dress up" in, but when the occasion calls for it, she dons a beautiful red dress, brought in from a travelling merchant, when her mother was her age.
HISTORY: Thora was born to Hagaar (the Bonecrusher) Ulfeid and Inga the Warrior. It was during the night of a terrible storm, and an attack from across the sea, her father was absent and the only other person to help Inga was her younger sister who knew next to nothing about birthing. Together, they managed to deliver Thora, who was named after the god of storms. It was a huge honour, although the wee babe that was nestled against her mother's breast wouldn't be aware of this for many years.
It wasn't long after Thora started toddling, that her mother returned to raiding, with her father and she was left in the care of her mother's sister. Aunt Helga was a slim woman, with hardly any meat on her and was most certainly not a warrior, but a healer. She taught Thora the ways of the forest, and the plants within them. Thora grew up under the strong influences of her Aunt, but wanting more than anything to be with her parents.
Thus, Thora grew up to be a strange teenager. One with undeniably rough edges, but a strong heart. She often would take to the woods, on her own, collecting herbs and whatever other little things her Aunt needed, until the day her Aunt passed away from sprinkling the wrong plant into the cooking. It was through this disaster that Thor met Verofa. Thora couldn't handle being in the house for so long, and those who extended their sympathies had long ago left. It was too quiet, and Thora's voice raw from talking to herself, trying to keep the quiet out. She decided to go collect some of the herbs that her Aunt was low on, ignoring that she would never be able to use them.
This, combined with Thora's absolute terrible sense of direction, she ended up in a strange part of the woods, she never meant to find herself in. Verofa was a Timperjack, and Thora was absolutely terrified. Their first meeting involved Thora mostly backing away, arms outstretched to show that she meant no harm. Verofa was mostly just interested in the fact that Thora seemed neither interested in hurting, or restraining her, so later when Thora thought that she had disappeared, she followed her down to her Aunt's hut, and waited outside for her, the next morning.
It took several weeks of touch and go, but eventually the two's interest in each other turned into trust, and from there an unbreakable bond was shared between the two. It was easier for Thora to deal with absentee parents, and the silence of the hut, now, with the quiet rumblings of Verofa outside. Thora threw herself into training even more than before, so she could be able to fly Verofa one day, and perhaps even join her parents on a raid.

DRAGON NAME: Verofa DRAGON TYPE: Air DRAGON PERSONALITY: Verofa is a very haughty dragon, very proud and quick to defend those she cares for. Verofa also has a terrible attitude most days, and can be seen happily arguing away with Thora. Their quick banter is often confused for an actual fight, when it's just a comfortable thing they do, stemming from the guarded arguments they would have when first getting to know each other. More than once, Verofa has been the only reason that Thora hasn't been lost to the woods, and she never let's her forget it. Verofa is slightly aloof to the other people of the village, unless she's around them all the time. Some of the villagers take this as Verofa being rude, but it's just her being cautious. She's never far from Thora, lest she need help, but she won't go too deep into the village, afraid that she'd harm the houses, or children that like to run around.

- fast flier
- sharp wings
- long snout/neck, good for aerial combat
