DATE & TIME : July 25th. Noon. WEATHER CONDITIONS : Overcast, Cool. CHARACTERS INVOLVED : Curtis, Grima. PREVIOUS THREADS ? None.
Bright, sunny, Warm day. Well that would be nice. But on Berk that was a rariety. The real weather was cool, overcast skies. No signs of rain or snow which was nice. Few animals and dragons were out and about in the forests, going about their daily activites.
Curtis was roaming quietly about the forests floor. He left Silvia at home, hoping she wasn't going to destroy anything in his absence. Slity came along, but he walked off to do his own thing. Curtis didn't mind him walking off aslong as he returned to him by days end.
He looked down at the ground as he walked along. He kept walking until he hit something infront of him, something hard, dull. The heck was it? He looked up at the object as he rubbed his head. Really... He hit the side of a rock outcrop. He looked at it and then up to the top of it. Not too far of a climb. He looked along the rock side and then climbed up it. Gripping what he could on the way up, using what he could for a step. It wasn't a long climb, it was quite brief actually. He reached the top and climbed onto the flat land.
Curtis stood up and took a good long look at the view. There was a small clearing at the top of the rock face.
"Hmm.. pretty quiet today. Thought I'd see.. or at least hear someone out in the forest"
He looks around before continuing his walk through the forest. Truthfully he was quite bored latley. Nothing much to do, He was still thinking of what to do for a job around the village. He wanted to do something that he wouldnt end up being bored with in the future, or that he would feel like he was going to have to slave at it all day long until he got out of it.
Curtis kept walking and looked around at the surroundings. He was fairy deep into the forests, but this area was familiar to him. The reason why is beacause his old home was nearby. It wasn't old as in age old, but old as in he had moved out of it. It was less then two years old that home of his so it would probably be standing for a long time to come. He walked along a grassy path along to his old home.
As he approached the entrance area, he looked over at the two ice pillars that stood there. He put his hand against it and examined it for a minute or so.
"Seems like it's gotten a little smaller." Curtis spoke to himself as he rubbed his hand along the rough, weather beaten skin of the pillar.
Curtis smiled at it and looked over at the home that stood in the middle of the dense forest that surrounded it. He looked around as he walked closer to the home. He smiled until he heard a noise nearby. He put his hand on the hilt of his sword and turned around and saw nothing there.
"Hello?" He said looking around the area. "Anyone here?" Was he paranoid? Or did he actually hear something nearby. In the forest.. or in his old home..
He turned around and looked at the small building, He examined the door way from the distance he was at and noticed it was opened up abit. " Come on... It could of been the weather that opened the door up.. I mean, who would want anything from here." Curtis thought it through for a moment. "Wait a second. I left somethings here. Ah.. God why."
Curtis snuck up to the door and opened it up quietly, but the creaking of the door didn't help him out any way. He looked into the dimmly lit room. "Hello?" He slipped his sword out of his sheath and held it infront of him. He walked slowly to the center of the room and looked around. "Come on out.." He said keeping a watchful eye on his surroundings.

Grima yawned and stretched. It was nice to be able to sleep in a bed for once and not have to worry about his parents or is sister making him do stuff the moment he woke up. He looked around the room he was in. It had been obvious that no one had lived in this place for a bit when he’d first came across the place ago.
The only reason he’d stayed here this night was because, well, he’d lost Stahl and Flint and this was the first place he’d bumped into. No one was in so he thought he’d used it for the night, so long as he left everything as he found it he was sure no one would care.
He fixed up the bed up and then looked at a few of the things that were about the place, trinkets from the forest, random books, weird designs. Nothing of any interest.
“Hello?” Grima froze, “Anyone there?” someone was outside. The owner? He quickly moved to a doorway he could hide behind but watch the door as someone entered. It was then he saw he’d left the door ajar. Grima silently swore to himself. It opened and in came a young, black haired man in amazing coat.
“Hello?” he called out again as he pulled his sword out. Grima now had to choose what to do. He semi-recognised the man from the village, so he knew he couldn’t attack the man. He’d have to show himself to get out of the place so…
Grima stepped out of the doorway and said, “You’re the healer’s boyfriend, aren’t you?”

Curtis took a look around the home he used to live in. I hadn't change much but he noticed a few of his belongings on a table left behind. He tilted his head at it for a moment, curious to know why they were laying out all together on the table. He heard a voice behind him, He swing around and laid his sword down to his side to look at the other male.
Curtis listened to him speak. He nodded his head abit.
"Yes that is correct." He responded and then thought for a moment. Was he really a threat? No.. He couldn't of been one, not in this state at least. Curtis sheathed his sword and looked around.
"So if you don't mind me asking.. Not like its abit deal but. Why have you taken up residence here?" Curtis walked over to the table with the item on it that belonged to him. He looked at the book and opened it up, flipping through the pages.
"huh. I was wondering where that went." Curtis laughed abit to himself before looking over at the male. "anyways. I'm Curtis. Yourself?" He walked over and stood In front of Grima.

He said yes to my question before tentatively putting his sword away. He didn’t think of me as a threat? A part of Grima was relieved of that fact, the more vain half was slightly annoyed. Curtis then asked me why he was in here. He was trying to make it not a big deal Grima noticed, which surprised him.
“W-well,” he was still slightly too shaken to say things properly, but he got the words out after a second, “I’d only come in here cause it was the only place I could find sanctuary last night. I got a bit…lost.” Emparesment strong in his voice, “I’ve passed this place so many times over the past month and it’s never had anyone in it every time I’ve been round I assumed it was vacant and no one would mind…”
The guy then asked his name after saying his, “Grima, Grima Blatand.” Even though the guy seemed to be making the point that he didn’t care that much, Grima still felt like he was probably going to get into trouble for it, “I was going to make sure everything was left as it was, I didn’t mean to be any trouble.”

Curtis looked at the items once more behind him on the table then back to Grima as he spoke back to Curtis. Curtis thought for a moment looking at him.
"We'll I'm fine with the fact that you took shelter here for the night. Better then sleeping outside in the cold and possibly being eaten alive by dragons." Curtis commented as he walked over to the front door. He took a look outside quickly.
"And no one has been here because I moved out a month or so ago. I moved into the village after living out here for a couple years." He stated afterwards.
After he was given a name, he smiled a bit. "Well nice to meet you Grima." Curtis looked over at the outside world again. "And I'm glad you didn't have the thought to take anything."
Curtis heard a noise outside and he watched closely. In the thick of the trees he saw something move. He wasn't sure what it was.
"Hmm. I wonder what that is.." Curtis stepped out of the house and into the clearing Infront of the old home. He took a good look around as he heard the rustling again.

Grima still quite surprised when the guy started talking again, he really didn’t mind at all. He was glad of the he’d not done anything bad. Why had this guy lived out here for so long? Grima really did like how this guy looked (though I think he loves the coat the most). And he even said a proper greeting to him.
“If you’re not using it any more, could…”he tailed off, realising Curtis was distracted by something outside as the older boy had walked out. He didn’t realise fully though until he heard the rustling himself. Grima started walking towards the doorway, wondering what was going on. He looked out just as two heads came out of the overgrowth.
Stahl and Flint had been looking for Grima for most of the morning, despite Stahl’s grudginness to do so. The dragon had lost him last night in the weather and hadn’t been able to find him at all. Flint had been pretty much forced to bed by stahl who assumed the kid had ‘gone back home to his parents after they lost him’.
When they’d gone to his hut in the morning and found it Grimaless, the two searched wehre they’d lost him again, this time sticking to the ground so they’d be more likely to see him. So when they stumbled on the clearing and saw the house which had the boy they were looking for in the doorway, Flint was over joyed. Stahl happy too, but only because it meant they didn’t have to search any more.
“Grima! Where’ve you been?” The left zippleback head called as they approached the hut.

Curtis watched curiously as Grima's dragons popped out of the foliage. He tilted his head abit and examined the dragon. He was a little curious as to where his own dragon was. Slity had split awhile ago, although it didn't bother Curtis too much he was still curious to know where he ended up. Maybe Slity would show up soon enough, or Curtis would just have to wait until he got home and wait until he shows up again. Silvia on the other hand, Well. Curtis was just hoping she wasn't terrorizing the towns people back at the village. Curtis wouldn't be too suprised if she ended up chasing someone around or breaking something, Silvia was a very hyper-active dragon. Hoping she calms down with age, but if she didn't he could probably live with it. Probably.
"Grima! Where've you been" He heard the dragon say to Grima. Curtis looked over at Grima and raised an eyebrow. "Hmm.. I'm going to take a guess and say these are your dragons?" Curtis asked curiously. He took the time before Grima responded to look over the dragon again. Curtis hadn't come across too many zipplebacks since his arrival on Berk. Just not paying attention much to them. He looked back to Grima before hearing something in the bushes again.
"What the?" Curtis looked over to the side and saw a white head pop out of the bushes. Slity looked around and saw Grima and the zippleback and tilted his head to the side. "Oh. So that's where I left you." Curtis laughed abit to himself.
Slity slipped out of the foliage and out into the open space. He shook himself off as a few leaves fell off from his back. He walked over to Curtis and sat himself down beside him. Slity kept an eye on the dragon and it's owner.
"Well. Grima. This is Slity." Curtis said looking back at Grima.

Grima smiled slightly when he saw the zippleback come out of the undergrowth and look over at the house. He liked the reaction Flint had when they saw him, though Stahl’s begrudged relief cut into him as it always did.
Curtis turned to him when Flint called out and asked about them, “Ye-yeah,” Grima responded, assuming the guy knows dragonese, before carefully moving past him and to the two heads, “Hi, sorry I lost you last night. I ended up staying in that guy’s house.”
“We’re just glad we found you and you’re alright,” Flint responded, “Aren’t we?”
“Yeah, whatever,” Stahl muttered, turning her head away from them since that was when she’d heard the noise of Slity pocking his head out. Grima looked over and saw the albino Night Fury and tilted his head in a similar fasion to that the dragon was doing. He then heard Curtis call out to the dragon. This was Curtis’s dragon?
The three of them watched as the dragon moved over to and sat next to it’s owner, at which point Curtis said his name was Slity. Grima had heard that there were some white night furies in the village, he hadn’t seen them up till now and he hadn’t realised they were this outsider’s. Grima’s feel of awe for this guy was increasing.
“He looks cool,” Grima said. He then remembered that he’d been about to ask a question when their dragons turned up, “So…if you’re now living in the village, could I…somehow acquire this place from you at some point?” He felt look on the back of his neck from both of his dragons and he felt real awkward for asking the question…but he had to try.

Curtis rubbed Slity's head and looked over at Grima. He listened to him as he asked if he could 'acquire the place from him'. Curtis thought for a moment, he really didn't need the place anymore aside from the few items that were left inside by accident when he moved out.
Curtis looked over to Slity and raised an eyebrow. "What do you think. Think we really need this place anymore?" Slity looked at Curtis and then shook his head side to side as a response. Curtis looked back at Grima and shrugged his shoulders. "Well, I guess it's all yours then, after I get my stuff out of course."
Curtis scratched behind Slity's ear abit and instantly Slity started purring like an oversized cat. Curtis smirked and continued scratching. Slity would barely have his eyes open, until he noticed something behind Grima and the Zippleback. It was Silvia, and she was sneaking up on the group. She snuck up pretty close to Grima's back without his dragons noticing yet.
Curtis looked at Slity's eyes looking at something behind them. Curtis looked over and his smile went into a straight face.
"Yea... Grima." Curtis spoke, but right after the words left his lips Silvia had grabbed Grima by the cloths on his back and lifted him up off the ground. Slity chripped at her loudly.
"What are you doing?!" Slity chripped at Silvia again.
With a mouth full of Grima Silvia replied. " I'm being stupid like always."
Silvia looked around and noticed a small mound of soft dirt. Curious about what it was Silvia carried Grima over to it and dropped him flat on his butt onto it. The mound ended up crawling with ants. Silvia let out a laugh and pranced off back to Slity and Curtis and sat beside them.

“Thanks,” Grima said, smiling sheepishly, “and of course, I was assuming it wouldn’t be immediately. Just tell me when the place is vacant.” He then quickly explained where his parents house was, “just go there and I’ll either be there or my parents will be.” He thought for a moment, “If I’m not there and you have to tell my parents, could you just tell you’d been round or something...I’d rather they didn’t know that I had a house for now.”
Grima then realised they were destracted by something, and Curtis was about to say when the teenager yelped in surprise as a mouth grabbed the back of his shirt and lifted him up. He heard the two dragons converse before Grima got carried along over to an ant hill. He recognised it was an ant hill well before he got dropped on it.
He rolled off it as quickly as he could, but some ants were already on him and some others were moving after him. He got up and started to try and rub the ants off him. Grima glared at the dragon, though yelped slightly again when he realised he’d missed a few and they were being like ants would be like if you’d sat on their home.

Curtis watched as Grima got up after being plopped down onto the ant hill by Silvia. He felt like an idiot almost by letting it happen, but then again once Silvia was doing something you weren't able to stop her from continuing it.
Curtis watched as Grima flew from the ant hill to a safe distance from it and started to swipe the ants from his body. Curtis walked over to Grima and helped swipe some of the remaining ants off of him.
"I'm very sorry about that. Silvia is one of those dull battle axes in the armoury if you understand." He looked over at Silvia, who was now sitting beside Slity looking at the two of them with an amused look on her face. You could tell by the look in her eye that she was very satisfied with her latest stunt against a human.
Slity looked at Silvia himself and snorted at her. " You know Silvia you better hope Curtis dosn't make you do laps around the island like he did that one time. I don't want to have to fly around with you making sure you do them.
Silvia looked at Slity and snorted back at him before letting off a laughing kind of noise. " Even if I did have to, and you had to follow me. I'd just do what happened last time. You know, made you crash into a bush of posion ivy."
Slity squinted his eyes at her. " You shot a ball of ice at me when we were forty feet off the ground. You got lucky!" . Silvia sat there and laughed at Slity.
Curtis looked back from his babbling dragons to Grima again. "Um.. Anyways are you alright?" He asked Grima. Curtis was getting the idea that Grima wasn't excatly too thrilled about bugs of any kind, or at least ants.

As Grima scratched he heard Curtis’s apology about his other dragon. He looked at the other white fear. He had two of them? The second one was a lot smaller and obviously a child. It was still a surprise to the boy.
He watched as the older dragon put down Silvia, who took it in her stride and the two bickered a bit. The young man by them then asked if he was alright, “y-yeah,” he said as he killed the last of the ants, “did you get what I said?”
When Curtis said no he repeated about here his house was, to go there when this place was usable and about only telling his parents something to get them to pass a message on without giving them the message.
Once he finished talking he looked at the sky, “I should probably get back into town, I should probably be there doing something.” He quickly climbed upon his dragon, “Nice meeting you Curtis, I owe you a few.”
“We going then?” Stahl asked and then when an affirmative was given she sighed happily, “good, I can get to bed again soon.” Flint glared at her twin subtly and then the two flew off with their kid. Grima was pleased with how things had gone. Soon he’d actually be getting a bit of safety and stability to the ‘freedom’ he had.
