Sundra pushed sand to the side with her foot. She pushed the hair off her face as she scanned the area. Things were pretty boring the past couple of days, having nothing to do or see can be torture. Even if she had to go and take care of farm animals, it would still likely be better then doing nothing. She looked behind her at the sparse forest that lined the end of the beach head and then down at the long curving beach.
"I suppose I could go for a walk like usual" She muttered to herself quietly. "Who knows. Maybe I might see a dragon.. whether I would be able to get close to it. Who knows.. Eh. Whatever, might as well. " She said a little more peppily. She figured that things like talking to herself would make more sense if she had someone listening. Preferably a dragon because she could never bare to think what other people would think about her random ramblings.
Sundra started her way down the beach, swapping her gaze between the forest edge and the monstrous sized sea. She could never imagine traveling across the sea, by dragon or by boat. That seemed like a lot to be able to take in to her. She looked towards the forest and turned on her heel in the sand, leaving a tiny crater of sand when she stepped away towards the pale green foliage. It was quiet as she made her way away from the sandy edge and into the grassy and dirt covered floor of the forest.
The forest was like a second home to Sundra. The amount of time she had spent in it was surprising, probably because people would figure she would have more to do then just wander around the forest aimlessly. Sundra liked to get her chores done early if she had any, just so she could wander around the rest of the day. Maybe that was one of the reasons why she would get so bored during the day, because she had already finished everything prior. She had to get a new hobby, or learn something new. She could spend more time on her training, but she never knew what to work on. She just mumbled random ideas to herself as she walked along the forest floor.
Light streamed into the forest very easily through the light canopy overhead. Sundra liked the denser part of the forest more, where it got darker the further into it you got. She felt like she had a kind of element of surprise and safety when she was there, it's also the place she goes to when she wants to be alone or be able to think to herself quietly. That wasn't all too often but if was great to have a place to go to when she needed one.
Sundra leaned against a nearby boulder and sighed to herself and looked around at her surroundings. "What If I'm like a hundred and don't have a dragon. GAH!"Sundra rolls her eyes at herself. As she stood there in silence she heard a noise. Not like a branch falling, or a bird singing. A noise that came from something big. A dragon? It had to be. She pressed herself against the large boulder and slowly looked out from behind her stone cover. Her eyes widened abit as she saw the beast from which the sound came from. What was that dragon? She knew she had seen the dragon in the book.
Sundra got to her knees and opened her small bag and pulled out a binded book she had gotten from her parents as a gift. This book was pretty much her own version of the Book of Dragons. Simple sketches and simple information scribbled out, unlike the expansive information and detailed drawings from the real book. She flipped through the pages and skimmed along quickly trying to figure out what the dragon was.
She flipped another page and looked at the picture and smirked to herself. "Here we are " She whispered to herself and she read the name. "Vile Dreamfang? " She shivered as she whispered. Why did dragons have to have such intimidating names given to then? Why couldn't it of been something as simple as 'Wild poisonous dragon thingy.' She shook her head. She slipped the handbook away and peered out from the boulder again, leaning against the rock more so she can get a better look. The dragon looked just as intimidating as it's name.
As Sundra was about to move back behind the boulder fully. She managed to have her hand slip against the smooth surface of the rock. Her eyes widened as she realized she lost her grip and fell back onto the ground. " Oh Thor!" She said out loud as she hit the ground.
