(Sorry if it's long. I like to add a bunch of details. And Crystal will be coming later in the story.)
As the sun set on the island of Berk, it cast long shadows on its forests, effectively bathing them in orange light. In these forests, was a girl, no older than 17, trying to make another snare to add to her collection.
Selene let out a deep breath of relief when she released the trigger string in her newest animal trap. With this one included, she had 20 summed up.

When she reached the small patch of grass she'd put her tattered, worn out tent, she groaned in annoyance. There were at least 3 terrible terrors scavenging her temporary home. Since she never stayed in the same area for more than a few months, she didn't really care whether or not terrible terrors came by and ruined her camp, which they did on a regular basis.
Selene grabbed a nearby fir tree branch, and whipped it around, effectively scaring off the pests. 'Take that you stupid little brats!'[/color] She smirked and broke the piece of wood in her hands in two, throwing it into the fire pit after.
When she gathered enough sticks, she tried to start a fire...unsuccessfully. She couldn't manage to even get a spark. She sighed in defeat, and decided to watch as the sun set.
However, this was short lived. Cocking her head to the right to hear better, she flinched when a snap echoed through the trees.
She was too frightened to do much except try and calm her breathing. With her luck, it was a wild dragon on a rampage. But she had hoped it was Crystal...
