DATE & TIME : August 1 WEATHER CONDITIONS : Slight chill in the air with mild fog. CHARACTERS INVOLVED : Summer and Curtis and their dragons PREVIOUS THREADS ? The one with Luna/Curtis/Summer from a long time ago. As Summer flew on Fireworm's back, she couldn't help the smile that grew on her face. She loved flying. She loved it like it was a passion. She loved the freedom that came with it. She felt like they could go anywhere. Do anything. So when she felt a familiar tug in a certain direction she followed her gut. With a nudge on Fireworm's left, her dragon tilted that way and started to fly above the forest.
Summer leaned over her dragons side, as she looked down at the canopy. "A little further." She squinted for a moment. The break should be coming up soon. It was of good size too. It would be easily spotted from this height. There! "We just passed it! Circle back girl." Fireworm gave a rumble of understanding and circled back.
When she saw the gap, they dropped through it to Toothless Canyon. The high walls made for a secret spot in the forest. She smiled as she slid of her dragon and stood in the center. Fireworm walked off to the little river. She found a spot that was worn, and perfect size for her boys before she curled up in it. The sun was hitting her just right, which made it perfect for the hot-blooded Monstrous Nightmare.
Summer watched as her dragon walked off, but even though she looked like she was sleeping, she knew her dragon was keeping her hearing tuned to anything in familiar. Summer walked over to a soft looking patch of grass, before she too sat down in it and crossed her legs. Once sitting with crossed legs, she allowed herself to fall back. Her chest rose and dropped slowly. She could feel herself slipping off into a peaceful state. The last thing she thought of, was why Horik and herself hadn't been here for a date. It was such a peaceful spot.
A few minutes later, a snap was heard. Summer automatically bolted up and started backing towards Fireworm. Even her dragons eyes were open and slit-like as the noise had resonated through the canyon. She stood up and approached Summer. Summer reached around on her dragons back for a minute before finding the curve of wood that was her bow. She slid it off the saddle and grabbed an arrow. She notched an arrow and stood in one spot and circled around. Waiting for another noise to be heard.
When she saw someone approaching, she pointed the arrow at the ground and took it off the bow with a smile. "Well hello there. Long time no see." A sense of déjà vu had set in as she took in Curtis.

Curtis flew threw the air on Slity's back with Silvia in hot pursuit on their trail. He looked behind him at the white dragon, her deep, dark violet eyes peered on him and his dragon. Curtis smirked and looked back at Slity.
" She is not running out of energy is she?" Curtis yelled to Slity
" It seems that the endurance training is starting to pay off." Slity commented back to Curtis.
"I'll have to agree with you on that!" Curtis took another glance back at Silvia and saw her much closer to Slity's butt. "Damn she caught up quickly" . Curtis gave a hand signal for Silvia to slow down and then patted Slity's shoulder. Both of the Fears began to slow down as they approached the canyon.
Curtis open a small pouch on the side of his saddle and looked into it. He looked at his dragons for a moment. He pushed Slity into a downward flight. They slowly approached the canyon ground and landed along a large, flat platform.
He slipped off of Slity's back and patted his head. He took the hooked on pouch on the saddle and took it before fastening it around his waist. He looked into the pouch again.
"Okay we need the blue flower that grows around her for those pastes."
Slity looked around and started to sniff the ground like a dog. Silvia walked behind Slity and turned around before hitting Slity's butt with her tail. Slity jumped forward and glared at Silvia before walking along. Curtis kept walking with his dragon looking on the ground for the flower that he needed.
Curtis smiled to himself before he ended up stepping on a twig and hearing it snapped beneath his feet. He stopped and looked down at his foot and looked back up before seeing a dragon in the short distance. It was a nightmare, hopefully it was a tame one. He walked closer to it before notcing a human with it. It was Summer and she had her bow and arrow pointed at him before he spoke.
" Well hello there. Long time no see." Curtis smiled at Summer. He looked behind him as Slity and Silvia caught up with him. " How have you been Summer? Been quite a while"

Summer looked at the two White Fears that accompanied Curtis. He had picked one up since the last time she saw him. And this one looked to be younger, and a girl almost. Though she really couldn't tell not from this distance anyways. But judging from the size of it compared to Slity, it was obviously younger. Her eyes flicked back to the young boy as he spoke. "Oh I've been good. Busy thanks to this girl, Mitch, and Horik."
She paused for a moment as Fireworm stepped slightly closer to the two dragons in front of her and Curtis. It seemed like she even wanted to get a closer look at them as well. She tied the bow back to the saddle and then walked the rest of the way to him so they were in easy speaking distance of each other. "What about you? Luna been keeping you busy." The last time she had met the girl things hadn't gone so smoothly. Because of that, she hasn't really tried to sort out where the two were. She didn't want to ruin a relationship and figured that Luna might one day speak to her or something.
Fireworm look from Slity to Silvia. It was obvious the dragon was young and a female this close up. Wondering how they came upon the younger dragon se spoke to the two White Fears. "Hey there Slity. Where did the young one come from?" She spoke to Slity and not Silvia since she knew Slity. But not wanting to be rude, she threw in a little sentence for the little girl. "My name is Fireworm. What's yours?" About this time, Summer was wondering the same thing. After seeing her dragon interact with his two, she turned back to Curtis. "So whose the little girl and where did you find her?" She knew they were a rare species, and to have two of them by the same owner? That was crazy and pure chance. Maybe Curtis knew where they always hung out? He had found Slity. So maybe he had gone back to the same place and found Silvia. As she glanced back at the dragons she thought back to their first encounter. It had seemed like it was years ago. [/blockquote]

Curtis looked down at his feet for a moment then back up to Summer. He shrugged to her.
" Luna hasn't been around latley. She had to go off to an island to take care of the dragon populace." Curtis took a seat down nearby and rubbed Slitys head as he layed down beside him. Silvia sat there looking at the new people to her.
Slity looked over at Fireworm and then over to Silvia. "We found her as an egg when we went down south. We brought her back, she hatched and we kept her. We were originally suppose to release Silvia back down south but we changed out mind."
" Silvia.. and you didn't get rid of me because you could live without me! Silvia peered at Slity seeing if he would respond.
" Yea. That's why we kept you around."
Silvia layed down and glared at Slity abit. Curtis looked over at his dragon as they bickered between eachother. He looked back to Summer and smiled.
" Well if you can understand Slity then you know, otherwise we found her as an egg down in Red Rock and brought her back when she hatched." Curtis responded.
Curtis thought for a moment and remembered that Summer said she was busy with Fireworm, Mitch and Horik. Curtis knew Horik. They talked quite abit since Curtis moved into the Village with Luna. Curtis smiled and looked at his dragons again.
"Oh yea, Horik told me you two were togather. How are you two getting along?" Curtis smiled and waitied for a response from Summer again. IT was a long time since the two of them sat down and talked. He liked Summer, she was good company to be around.

As Fireworm curled down beside her, Summer sat down next to her dragon, leaning against her shoulder. Her dragon then proceeded to turn her head until it rested in Summer's lap. Summer absentmindedly stroked right above the curled horn on her nose as they spoke. She gave a small smile to what Curtis said about Luna. It was obvious he missed her a lot.
"Well that's too bad. Would've been nice to talk to her again. Maybe this time she wouldn't of been so...jealous?" That fit. She had gotten jealous of Curtis talking to another girl. At least that's how Summer saw it. Why else would she start with a temper towards Summer? She must have felt threatened or something. Summer shrugged those thoughts off though as they were in the past.
Summer watched as her dragon talked to Curtis'. Her eyes narrowed in slight jealously for a moment as Curtis knew what they were saying but she didn't. So when he turned to her and stated that if she understood Slity she would know. She shook her head and Curtis told her how they found her. She nodded along. Made sense. She had heard that Curtis was from there. "What's it like over at Red Rock?"
Then he asked about Horik. A small smile came to her face as she thought of him. Then she looked down at Fireworm who looked back at her with what looked like a grin. Why wouldn't she? If Horik was mentioned then his dragon would likely be mentioned too. Of course Fireworm and Argent were together as well. Summer looked back to Curtis. "We are doing great. We try to hang out as much as we can. But with him black smithing with Kenna and me watching out after my brother and sometimes helping Chad with the ViTs or hunting, sometimes it can be difficult."
It was nice talking to someone other than her brother for a change. She briefly wondered if Curtis would be able to teach her dragonese. If she learned, then she could teach Chad. If Chad learned, well he would be a better teacher. She decided to ask this a little later though. It was nice catching up first.

(AWHEH i know your not here for awhile but i figured id reply to this after letting it sit around for months. Sorry for an extreme late post)
Curtis sighed and smiled at Summer. He remembered the last time him, Summer, and Luna had talked. Luna was seeming to be a little defensive of him. "Yea.. Sorry about last time. I think she was just being defensive of me? I don't know, I'm figuring it's more of a girl thing." Curtis shrugged his shoulders and laughed at his comment.
Curtis heard Summer ask what it was like back at Red Rock. He kinda was happy when people of Berk asked that question, He felt like he was informing them of what it was like further south from Berk. Closer to the mainland at least. "Well there's a lot to that question I suppose. Red Rock is very different from the viking life style. For one, our clothing doesn't include animal pelts or fur. The clothing is a mixture between cloth, and leather clothing. Another is that there's a lot more space in Red Rock then there is here on Berk. For obvious reasons I would assume." Curtis chuckled abit at his last sentence. "The temperature is different then here on berk, our winter comes later in the year and it isn't as cold as it is here during Berk's 'devastating' winter. There's a lot of difference then it is here, too many to explain."
Curtis listened to Summer as she talked about how her and Horik didn't have a whole lot of time together lately. Curtis never seemed to have this problem with Luna, aside from when she's away like she is now. Again, Curtis and Luna were living together at this point as well.
"Well that is a little unfortunate that you don't always have the time to see each other. Then again that always makes the time you do get that more special. You two seem like a really good match to me to be honest." Curtis smiled at Summer before looking over at his dragons again.
