Quick summary:

Lanorae is a semi-literate Pokemon roleplay set in a region that has been growing and developing for centuries, ever since its founding by the young explorer Kiel Shiloh and his Gardevoir, Lanore, who became the region's namesake. However, despite it's years of history, Lanorae has taken a completely different developmental path when compared to regions such as Johto and Hoenn. While it's sister regions have come to take advantage of new technological advancements, Lanorae has remained almost entirely in the Victorian era from whence it was founded.

Industrial cities are bathed in smoke, and inventors run rampart in their attempts to create and imitate the more modern technological pleasures purely with the use of steam, gears, and their own imaginations. While people from other regions arrive every day, it seems like nothing can alter the Victorian culture Lanorae has grown with since it's birth.
