As the florescent moon began to rise higher to the tops of the sky, so did the stars; aligned in different patterns and scattered all across the black never-ending canvas; and the great moon giving light in dark places. The soft hum of crickets and croak of frogs sounded softly in the distance; preparing for the cold winters on the way.
Perched on a stumped tree trunk, that crashed to the ground some time ago, was Ethelwulf; a young lass with deep brown and lighter brown hair that came to the end of her neck. Her eyes, set as a deep greenish-blue, surveyed her area; monitoring every sound. A long black bow slung around her left shoulder and the quiver of arrows behind her; a sword sheathed in it's holder lay beside her left thigh. The big wolf coat around her chest flows in the current of the breeze; her thick leather pants and boots keeping her bottom half warm. One hand was over a small trinket on the necklace she wore; a small blackish wolf head with emerald eyes.
Ethel looked down upon the small necklace, taking in the small wonder it's eyes held. And behind her; reaching it's long neck over to investigate, was Leroy. A great dragon, that seemed naked to the body but mighty in appearance. His smell, which stank of rotten meat, did not bother the lass; she seemed accustom to it. All the Fell Beasts had the stench; but his was easily forgotten and ignored by his companions senses.
"My friend; what do you suppose the wolf's eye's symbolize? I can't even remember where I found this." She asked her dragon companion; thinking he would know where it came and how it got to her possession.
Leroy looked at the small head of the canine in her palm; he huffed out a black smoke from his nostrils as if to answer it in his own way.
Ethel patted his big nose as a thanks to him for at least trying to answer.
