Although he may claim to be a "professional", he is mostly self-taught.
PERSONALITY: In a word, Eyvind is eccentric. He may seem a bit odd to some, and maybe even a little bit crazy. But beneath that craziness lies a highly intelligent brain. He is always studying, taking notes, and asking questions. Some of his investigations may seem a bit invasive or unnecessary, but he always means well.
However, he isn't very good with crowds, confrontation, or leading. If he comes across any situation like this, he suddenly becomes shy, submissive, and tries to take the path of least resistant. However, much like a snake, if he's ever cornered or stuck, he will lash out aggressively either physically or with words. However, he hates using blades. For some reason, they irk him. He decides to stick with hammers and maces if he needs to defend himself.
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Eyvind is rather short with
a lean, athletic build. He has wild, unkempt auburn hair that seems to stand up at odd angles on it's own. His large green eyes that are only outshined by his wide smile. He wears a simple white shirt and brown pants that hang comfortably loose around his body.
HISTORY: Eyvind was fascinated with dragons from birth. So much so, that he decided to not become a viking like so many of his childhood friends, and instead devote his life to studying dragons, especially rare and unique species. Of course, having little to no combat training, and chasing dragons is not a good combination. He has a few scars and burns to show it, but it's never deterred him from his studies.
This decision especially upset his parents, who are both well-respected vikings. However, Eyvind seemed to not even notice. He merely continued his studies, either with his face in a book, or working on writing his own. In fact, it was his parents' constant urging that he become a viking that began his fear of blades. It began with swords and axes, but eventually transferred to even knives and saws. He will use them if its absolutely necessary, but will try to avoid them if possible.
He is best known for his rather crackpot inventions, ranging from a ball-and-chain catapult, to an odd mechanism that allows people to fly without a dragon. (It's possible I tell you!) This, much like his fascination with dragons, has led him into many dangerous situations, but he has escaped them more-or-less unscathed so far.
Recently, he's been tracking strange reports of strange dragon-like creatures that have been spotted in the canyon. However, the reports have been strange, all of them saying something along the lines of "It looked like a (Dragon Type)... But not quite." And there have also been reports in the same area of shimmering figures moving around, as well as moving rocks and trees. Eyvind is determined to figure out what is going on. He's convinced that it's some kind of dragon, but doesn't have enough information to prove it...yet.

DRAGON TYPE: Changemeleon - A rare and unique species of dragon, with limited combat abilities, but the ability to change the color of it's scales. This can be used in an effective camouflage and imitation. It can even appear somewhat invisible, appearing as only a shimmer in the air. The changemeleon can even use this ability to imitate other dragons and even some people by coloring most of it's body as the thing, and cloaking the rest of it's body in 'invisibility'.
However, factors such as strong emotion have been known to affect it's ability to change colors. This dragon is especially intelligent, but also timid and rarely seen. It is often known for coloring it's underside blue, and flying over towns unseen.
These sky dragons have especially large wingspans, which they use to cover themselves and others that they wish to hide. They also can see in almost every direction at once thanks to their eyes that can move in different directions. However, this also means that they have poor vision unless they are 'focusing' on a single subject. They have slender necks, and long tails ending in a single spike.
DRAGON PERSONALITY: Covert is very calm and pensive, but only if it is at least partially hidden. She dislikes being completely visible, as it makes her feel exposed. However, she loves imitation even more than camouflage, and will often imitate someone as a sign that she likes or respects him/her. She can be very protective of Eyvind and will defend him to the end, even though many of his actions tend to annoy her.
