Oddny is a generally happy person. She doesn't have many major worries, and she spends her time letting her mind wander. She's a naturally spacy girl, and is very easily distracted. She just can't seem to focus on anything! She gets bored very easily, and doesn't spend too much time on any one thing. She doesn't ever finish anything (and that's why you'll see half-sanded tables in her house and half-cooked fish on said table!)
Oddny is just a tad bit impulsive. She blurts things out, not realizing until it's too late what she's said. Her big mouth lands her in alot of sticky situations, but she's a clever girl. She usually will wit her way out of anything. She's got a mind any man would be envious of, but, seeing as not many people take her seriously, Oddny keeps her ideas to herself. She's also a spiteful girl, and thinks if nobody will seriously listen to her thoughts and ideas, she just won't share her ideas with them. Their loss.
Oddny is stubborn as a goat. When she has her mind set on something (which really doesn't happen often, she forgets things easily) she won't budge! It's the Viking blood in her, but when she realy gets fired up on something, she won't give up on the cause, and she'll never let you forget it if you screw up!
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Oddny is a small girl, just barely 5 foot 4, and only weighs about 130 pounds. She has small shoulders and a small waist, and hates it. She wants to be tall and wide and imposing like the other Viking women, but she's tried over-eating and working out; she just won't grow!
She has a head of curly dark-brown hair that she usually wrestls into a medium ponytail, and pins back any hair that falls out. She doesn't particularly like her hair, but it's just hair. She doesn't put alot of worth into appearances. Her face is heart-shaped, and rosy, with a round nose and oval eyes. Her eyes are a dark hazel, but green-amber describes the color more accuratly. The color of her eyes isn't so much midway between green and brown, as most hazel eyes are, but parts of her iris are green, and parts are amber. Her face is unblemished, with the occasional pimple here or there (what girl doesn't have them, though?)
Oddny has small hands and small feet, and, to her great dislike, is not as 'well-endowed' as other women of her age. A note about her legs: Oddny was born with abirth defect that caused one of her legs to be continually about 3 cm shorter than the other, throughout her entire life. She's kept this a secret for the most part, but has to stuff strips of leather in the bottom of one boot all the time, just to make it look like her short leg is the same length as the long one.
Oddny wears practical clothes, with a tendancy towards the 'pretty' side. As much as she dislikes not being taken seriously as a woman and not being as big or wide as other women, she does sometimes like to flaunt her figure. She mostly wears mens shirts, cinched at the waist with a plain belt, sometimes adding her Mother's copper belt buckle. She likes her shirts long, so she can just wear leggings underneith, as she feels pants are too constricting and inhibit her climbing ability. She likes dark leggings paired with a lighter shirt. She'll occasionally wear dresses over leggings, but only when the wheather allows. She'll also throw a necklace or earrings into her usual outfits when she's feeling plain. Her boots are plain brown leather, topped with gray rabbit's fur, and lined with leather and bearskin.
HISTORY
Oddny was born on a non-discript day 18 years ago to two loving, but disconnected parents. Mostly raised by her family's thrall (servant) when her parents were away Questing, she was largly independant as a child, and grew rather spacey and disobediant around adults. For this reason, parents tended to keep their children away from Oddny, so as not to have her unruly behavior rub off on their offspring.
Her attitude changed when she was about ten, and started realizing, she was just about smarter than the adults around her. She noticed things no one else noticed, she asked questions no one else cared to ask. So, changing her tune, she tried to be respectful around adults so they'd listen to her bright ideas, but by then, the adults had already marked her as an unruly girl, and dissmissed most of what she said. This made her quite bitter.
At 13, she was given her first dragon, a Garden Dragon, who she named Gridda. Still feeling guilty about killing her Mother's Garden dragon the year before (see secrets) Oddny tried to distance herself from Gridda, so as not to harm her. Eventually, Gridda just left, feeling that she and Oddny had not bonded properly. Oddny was somewhat relieved, and has never taken another dragon since.
It's also important to not that at age five, Oddny was burned on her shoulder and back when a grunckle sneezed a fire ball at her. Tjis incident has severly scarred her, mentally, and she has develloped an acute fear of large dragons. For some reason, that incident also made her afraid of flying (or maybe it was something else, even she doesn't know. All she knows is that she will NOT fly on the back of a dragon)

- Oddny was born with a birthdefect that makes one leg shorter than the other, only ever-so-slightly, but it does give her a limp. She hides this by stuffing leather into her boots, and doesn't want anyone to know about her limp. She thinks everyone would think she was weak.
- Oddny accidentally killed her Mother's dragon when she was 12, when she was helping her family move to a new house after a fire. She was carrying her Father's axe up a hill, with her Mother's Garden Dragon by her feet, when she tripped and the Axe hit the dragon. She lied about it then, and she doesn't want anyone to know about it now.
