ORIGINS Born nearing the end of December (25th) to an esteemed family that lived on private land just outside the main village of Berk, Mathius grew fascinated with Viking culture from a young age and more primarily in their weaponry which he held an almost strange obsession with. How they worked, how they were made, the sharpness and power of each. His obsession grew to the point that he spent his days frequently elluding his parents to go and explore the village in what they deemed to be 'lower class filth'. Growing weary of his excursions he was told to pick between the life he had and the one in 'squalor' and he smugly told them he much preferred squalor to their company and lpromptly left. He hasn't seen his parents to this day, 16 years later. GENDER & SEXUALITY Male with no true preference. He shows no interest in either gender and when questioned will respond with equally distaste for both. OCCUPATION Mathius is a pacifist at heart and prefers to make weaponry rather than use it. As such he became an apprentice to one of the smith's present in the village and pours his heart and soul into the steel of each blade forged.
