ORIGINS Cyndis was adopted to a normal couple, who only wanted one child. Tried and tried they did, but they never managed to get pregnant. The wife was sterile. But, oh how she longed for a child. His father, desprate to apease his wife, searched far and wide for an unwanted baby. He got lucky one day and returned with Cyndis, an old woman had given him away as quickly as she could. He was roughly 4 years old. The man's wife was overjoied and spoiled the child with everything he could ever ask for.  The boy seemed to be completely normal. Aside from the occasional 'your not my real mom' and 'my real parents didn't want me' depressions. His parents soon became worried. Their son seemed to have some sort of complex, beliveing that he wasn't worth anything because his real parents did not want him.  They decided to alow Cyndis to hunt himself a dragon to try to give him  something to lift his spirits. He searched far and wide , acompanied by his father, for the perfect one, he took a walk to see what wild dragons he could find. Lo and behold, he met the demon that turned him into the disturbed boy he is today. The canabalistic creature sat upon an enormous stone. His blue eyes locked on the boy, that wicked grin plastered on his face. He was petrified of the dragon, those teeth could rip him apart and he'd left his sheild at home inorder to bring his axe for he was too weak to carry both. He prayed for his life, said he'd do anything to live.   The dragon's eyes narrowed as he began to tempt the young boy. Curling up around him, his jaws close to his face. So close he could smell the scent of graveyard dirt and fear on his breath. His father soon caught up with his son and forced the dragon off him, and told him if he ever saw him anywere near his son again he'd kill him. This did not detour Divorjak at all. He instead would sneak around the village to find the boy alone an speak with him. Wisper to him. Tell him to disobay his father. Slowly tearing his loyalty from his parents. He began sneaking out of the house to see the dragon, just happy that he had one, ignoring the fact he was being used.  The dragon claimed Cyndis as his. Cyndis became Divorjak's puppet, to dance at his command. Divorjak would make Cyndis do little things, like small white lies. Forcing him to take things that werent his and slowly ruined Cyndis's reputation. This is how the two learned to comunicate. Thus, Cyndis learning dragonese due to Divorjak's constant wispering horrible things to do in his ear.  Cyndis slowly began to lose his mind. Torn between wanting to keep the dragon and wanting to make him leave. He knew if he told him to leave he'd promptly kill him, but if he had him stay more people would get hurt. The constant wispering in his ear began to drive him insane, to the point he lost track of what was his own thoughts and what was Divrojak. His parents became very concerned about their son's sudden wild behavior and going missing, and immidiately looked at the dragon. This was the final straw. The dragon had to go. His parents tried to have an adult convorsation with Cyndis, and convince him that dragon was evil. That the dragon had made him someone deranged and dangerous. However he only replied. "No, he toughened me up." Cyndis left the house for good, going to live with Divorjak in the forest. About a week later his parents went on a 'Hunting trip' and never returned. Their bodies were never found, but Cyndis and Divorjak came back to the vilage to this news.  Nobody knows what really happened, if they are still alive, or if they perished at the hands of a horrible dragon, desprate to keep his now obediant little puppet on his strings. He is now 15 and starting VIT training... What a horror show this will become. GENDER & SEXUALITY Cyndis, deep down, wants to fall in love. Be it man or woman. But he cant bring himself to love. Divorjak, however, is not intrested in love. OCCUPATION He's a VIT but his dragon just gives everyone the creeps, so people tend to avoid him. Unless theyre stuck in class with him. TRAITS [/style]

Because it's mean Divorjak couldn't make him hurt anyone else. ▪  he always pushes his limits to the breaking point.	[atrb=valign,top][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,207] WEAKNESSES: ▪  brash, careless mistakes. ▪  gets distracted very easily ▪  he tends to do things before he thinks and is very easy to manipulate. ▪  he is a sociopath. Divorjak is a phycopath. Therefore they rely on Divorjak to cover the tracks.

He does afew things that make him very uncomfitorble, like constantly watching him. No matter what. ▪  other VIT's dragons. ▪  Divorjak's constant wispering temptations into his ear. Things Divorjak wants him to say or do.

▪  Divorjak is actualy the one making him evil. He'd be a normal person if Divorjak never came into the picture. Therefore if Divorjak is gone, he may not be so bad.

Cyndis is the definition of insanity. His mind is so disturbed that all he thinks about is causing physical or emotional pain. He hurts though, deep down he really hurts. He wants to stop, he wants to be rid of Divorjak's constant puppeteering. He wants to fit in and maybe be liked. Then, perhaps he wouldn't be so bad.  But, instead, he is cursed with a wispering demon. A heart as black as Divorjak's skin. He is personable on the rare occasion that Divorjak left him alone.

He is torn between loving Divorjak and hating him. Divorjak is the only dragon who can handle his sadistic behavior, but yet hes the one who made him this way by covering up the evidance. Living with Divorjak has made his mind absolute hell in his head. He needs help. He needs to be rid of his demon. Divorjak needs to die.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Cyndis can best be described as the typical Viking brood. Thick boned, muscular and broad shouldered. If he could be compared to an animal he'd be a silverback gorrilla. Standing at about 5 ft 4 he still has a bit of growing to do before he's full height. He is beggining to get a bit of facial scruff from maturing. His eyes are dark brown while his hair is in messy, uncempt state, its raven color dull and unhealthy. 

He normaly wears a white shirt with a brown bearfur vest over it. His pants just regular brown wool pants. His brown leather boots reach up to his knees. He has a thick strap crossing his chest to carry his war axe on his back. He wears warpaint around his eyes, resembling splatered blood. He has a small scar above his left brow from accsedentaly hitting himself sith his axe once when he was young.

▪  cunning, clever and deciceive. He is the true meaning of a phycopath. Paying attention to every detail, striking when the time is right, hiding the evidance well. He is natures worst weapon.
▪ very mentaly unstabel. He refers to himself in third person and will attack for no aparent reason.

Divorjak apears to be a normal black western dragon. His skin is a dark ebony with even darker patern of 'tiger stripes' (like the kind found in some lizards). His horns spiral upwards and are ivory in contrast to his body.his body is well toned and he apears completely healthy. His eyes are a dark emerald with a slit eye.[/div][/td][/tr][/tr]

- Okay. Firstly this kid sounds very demonic and sadistic ahah. Remember we try and keep this site PG13, so such with the blood might want to be kept down to a minimum if / when this is accepted.

- The Sadisticness of this character is hard for me to understand just because of the mentality I have to such characters. Personally I'd rather have Red or Pime look into this Character to avoid the mistake of me accepting it to be honest.

- Use spell check. There quite a few words in here that are mispelled

Okay, for starters can he be called something other than Abadon? Partly because it doesn't fit in the setting whatsoever (Hebrew angels are nonos) and partly because it is far to evil a name for any parent to give their kid, no matter what they thought their son was.

I don't like him being evil from an early age (I'm going to use evil, even though it is totally the wrong word for this kid's mental diseases and such, because it's an short and easy short hand for all that stuff and you should know what I mean by it), things like antisocial personality disorder and other such things appear much later in a persons development and the idea that a kid could have enough mental capacity to be sadistic in an evil way is unrealistic. Also, more generally, I am someone who is very much on the 'evil is made, not born' side of the nature nurture argument. There should be a visible history of some level of cause to why he is like how he is (I think every villan I can think of on bd that's been writen had some level of bad childhood cause apart from Ari, but he more comes from being a behind the times shaman xD).

Also, I don't think that any sane parents would let their untrained kids go out and search for a dragon of their own at the age of 7. Berk, outside the village, is unsafe for children, it has wolves and dangerous terrain they could die from...and wild dragons! xD

I do have a few ideas which might work for him, you don't have to take them, it's just thoughts red and I had when we were reading through this. Why not tone back the evilness of Abadon, make him a normal kid even, an impressionable kid. Then, either though searching for his dragon at a more believable age or Divorjak bumping into him and deciding to use him, they get together and Divorjak starts to influence his owner, twist him into doing what he wants, start to train a sadistic side into Abadon, that kind of thing. Stylistically it's similar to what I tried to do with Grima with Stahl, though it'd be a very different execution of the idea. It'd also help smooth out the contradictions caused by a character that was already a sadist feeling remorse for doing sadistic things someone else goads him into doing.

I think that's enough to start with, sorry if any of that seems to be done agressively, my talking style and prepencaty to rant is the reason I'm only allowed to to reviews for repeat offenders second+ character apps. xD

Sorry it’s been over a week, last week was hectic and I forgot I had this when all my assignments were over. Anyway, not much left, I do rather like the character :3 this is the kind of guy (segestive demons and all) that I’m wanting to make the protagonist of one of my stories to be like, so I will be looking at how you do it

Only a few things that sould be changed. I still don’t like the fact his parents let him look for a dragon, I’m not sure what instead but like I’d said in my last one, no family would let their kid go into the wild hunting (either for food or for dragons) if they cared about them (which they obviously did). Maybe his dad started taking him out into the wild with him and they met the dragon through that. Maybe their first meeting was very short, with his dad taking splitting them up immediately, but then the dragon gets an idea that he might be a useful pawn and stalks them back to the village and starts to ‘befriend’ Cyndis. That’s just the first idea that came to my head, you don’t have to go with it.

Pushing yourself to your breaking point can be good, as my housemate will vouch, pushing past it does a lot of harm and has no benefit, its sort of the definition of breaking point. If it isn’t bad for you, you haven’t gotten past it yet.

Maybe tone down the sadistic weakness, but you don’t have to. Cyndis isn’t a sociopath, he’s on the way towards it, but he’s not there yet. He still feels some level of remorse and a want to reform. The rest of that weakness line is right, since Djvorjak is a full on psyco, he’d be better at covering tracks than the teenage wreck he controls.

I have personal iffyness with the likes, but none of them are ‘you should change them’ level, you don’t need to change any of them, just though I’d say something.

Finally can you find a different dislike to happiness, or atleast clarify what you mean by that. I can’t wait to accept your character either so I can see how you run him, I would say warnings about the pitfalls you can fall into with a character like this but most of them are pretty obvious.
