Ryan was sitting on a rock, just outside of his home. Sheesh, home, if someone could even call it that. The thirteen year old turned around, looking at his dismal wood pile of a house for the near thousandth time. Perhaps he was being a bit to critical about the way he had finished off the house. The boy sighed and put his head down in frustration. The house had looked just fine before that storm. Now, all that was left was a half side of a nicely built house and then a rough, added on side. The rough added side had been made by Ryan himself. At first, he thought that he could slip by without closing the side up again. After another rain fall, he decided he couldn't and built up another wall.
While Ryan was lost in thought, a Basic Brown dragon was lingering near the small house, sniffing it in thought. Its tail swished from side to side and it let out a slight rumble. Ryan looked over. "What?" he asked, getting up and joining the dragon at the side of the small house. The brown reptile gave a slight purr and nudged the boy's hand. Ryan gave a slight grin and started to pet the dragon. The Brown's eyes closed in enjoyment and laid down. Ryan smiled and took a piece of fruit out of a sack that he had recently made. The dragon's nostrils flared and its ears perked up as soon as the aroma of the fruit hit its nostrils. He wiggled in excitement and Ryan smiled. "Here you go," he chuckled, flattening his palm and offering the fruit to his friend. Dusty munched on it and then sat down, blinking at his human friend expectantly.
The boy looked at the dragon that he had met. The dragon that he had known for around three months. It was hard to believe that they had become friends. He had never really thought that a dragon and a human would ever become friends. Then again, there were stories, and who said Ryan couldn't try? Well, it worked, he guessed. They had come a long way in those few months. "What?" the boy asked again, looking at the dragon. Sometimes he really wished that he could understand the reptile. It seemed that Dusty understood him, though. The Brown approached him and nudged at Ryan's sack again.
"Still hungry, huh?" Ryan asked, laughing. Dusty took the sack in his teeth and tugged it towards him. "That was the last piece," Ryan said, reaching for the sack. The dragon let out a playful grumble and started to back off, dragging the sack with it. Ryan looked at Dusty in slight confusion. The dragon gave another grumble, then started to prance away from the house, throwing his head high and making the sack go up, off of the ground. Every so often, he threw glances at the boy. Ryan grinned, catching on. He started to try and grab the sack, but ever time he got close, the dragon would just jump out of the way. The boy laughed and continued to chase the dragon around their small place that they had both come to call home.OOC: Hope this post is okay Character Name: Ryan Simons//Dusty Mood: Pensive, Happy//Playful To: Open! The sound of a newcomer was heard in the open air, the footsteps, the soft humming. "Hey kid, do I have your attention? I know the way you've been livin'. Life so reckless, tragedy endless, welcome to the family..." The song itself was quite morbid and dark, as if the owner of the voice was taunting someone before attacking them, going in for the kill. It was obvious, though, from the sweet, high tone, that the singer was a female. Which made it all the more... creepy, for lack of a better word.
A Terrible Terror appeared, one that was a sickly shade of green. Scales tinted with magenta and black, he was sure one to stand out. He was smaller than most of his species, making him even stranger. Large eyes looking about, he spotted the two unknown creatures. "Meatsacks!" he hissed, darting back out of sight.
Soon, the head of a female youth appeared around a large oak tree, the one that the voice had belonged to. Venomous green eyes peered out from behind a curtain mouse-brown bangs, waving down and framing her olive-toned heart-shaped face. She slowly stepped out into total view, standing a bit worriedly, as if she were prepared to run away.
She wore a long-sleeved vest, which had a hood, it was able to close, and the sleeves were too long. Strangest of all, it had pockets on the side. At the moment, however, it was open, and underneath was a plain white top. Her pants were a little too long, even though they were tucked into basic fur-lined boots. Her late mother's necklace - a black cord with a golden charm - hung around her neck proudly.
"Oh. Hello. I didn't know that anyone else came out here, she called out to Ryan and Dusty, with her dragon glaring up at the Basic Brown. The Terrible Terror wouldn't let anyone near his human, even if she was a bit too tall for him. "Stay away from my Tallest! he hissed to the other dragon, curling his tail protectively around one of Glo's ankles. She looked down at her dragon, smiling. Bending down and scratching under his chin, he let out a tiny purr, hopping up onto her shoulder.
"Glo speaking." "Zim speaking (in Dragonese, of course.)" Other text.

Ryan nearly jumped out of his skin as he heard the singing in the forest. Singing? Yes, he remembered singing. His mother used to do it. Dusty suddenly sat and dropped the sack, feeling Ryan's fright and confusion in waves. He let out a concerned hurr and nudged Ryan's hand, letting him know that he was there for his human. The thirteen year old started to shake. The voice sounded female; what to do? Ryan's mind went into half panic and he looked around. No trees to disappear into and no time!
The Brown dragon gently took Ryan's over large sleeve in his mouth, as if he knew what the human was thinking. Dusty let out a slight grumble and his greenish eyes looked at Ryan's grey ones. "Stay," the dragon grumbled to the boy, even though he was pretty sure that Ryan had no idea what he was saying to him. Then Dusty tensed and his ears shot up, hearing a slight hiss from another dragon. Ryan was starting to panic now, he hadn't seen anyone in here, ever.
When the girl came around and into view, the Brown sat slightly infront of Ryan, eyeing the Terrible Terror warily. Ryan shifted his weight, almost ready to bolt away if he needed to. His grey eyes were darting from the girl, to the dragon, to Dusty, obviously in slight panic. "H-h-hi..." the boy stammered. "M-m-me e-e-either," he spluttered. He shifted his weight around nervously, not really sure what to do at all. Ryan had never really been in contact with, well, anyone ever. The only people he had contact with, was with his parents. They had died three years ago and Ryan hadn't had any human socialization since.
His dirty blonde hair was roughly and unevenly cut, as it always was. He felt a slight release as Dusty let his overly large sleeve go, trusting him to keep still and not run for it. Even though Ryan knew it would be just a waste of energy, his grey and frantic eyes kept searching for a good tree to just leap into. His eyes shifted to the Terrible Terror and he stepped back only slightly. How many dragons and humans are out here?! Dusty moved with him, nosing his human's sleeve again.
Dusty looked at Ryan in confusion. He talked normally around him. The Brown nudged the human's hand and let out a purr, Ryan's hand went to the dragon's head and then slowly stopped shaking. "Alright..." Dusty hurred back respectfully, nodding to the Terrible Terror. "Then please don't harm mine," the Brown asked politely, a slight shake in his hurr.OOC: Lol, yes it should Character Name: Ryan Simons//Dusty Mood: Scared, Nervous//Concerned, Slightly Nervous To: Glo and Flo IC Word Count: 458 Made by: Ellie Brigid at Olympian Prophecy

Glo blinked her strange-colored eyes, staying where she was. She curled her hands up into her sleeves, a bit nervous. She was never good at talking to people. The sixteen-year-old fidgeted slightly, looking up at her dragon.
H-h-hi... she watched him stammer. M-m-me e-e-either. "I-It's okay. I won't hurt you. I-I'm Glowworm, or Glo. Whatever. And this is Zim." She motioned to the Terrible Terror on her shoulder, then slid her hands into her pockets. "Who are you? She studied the smaller and younger youth, tilting her head. Her actions were sort of like those of a dog's; curious and sincere.
Zim glared over at the Brown, but huffed in an agreed response. He resorted to studying Ryan along with his human, eyes growing bored after awhile. Glo reached up and patted him, shuffling her boots.
Looking back at the other kid, she blinked. A gust of wind blew past them, making Glo huddle more inside of her strange vest. The next season was approaching very quickly, she knew this for a fact. "You know, it's getting cold out. It will be for awhile. Do you live out here?" Daring to step closer, the teenage Viking-in-Training reached out a gentle hand towards Dusty. Her Terrible Terror growled in warning. He had an awkward growl, almost like a soft shriek. She rolled her green eyes, pulling her hand back and returning it to her pocket. Zim smirked, satisfied, before curling up in her hood. TAGAlfrun & Milk. LISTENING TO

Ryan just kept shifting around nervously. Gosh this was nerve wracking; already, he could tell that he wasn't the best with talking people. For one, he never did this while with Dusty. He guessed he was more used to animals than humans. Ryan's grey eyes slid towards the Brown, who seemed to be looking at the dragon perched on the girl's shoulder. This girl looked older than him. Not that he minded or anything, age didn't really matter to him.
The boy gave almost an invisible nod at her words. "O-oh.... n-n-nice t-t..t-to m-m-eet y-y-you..." he continued to stammer. That was how the conversation was supposed to go, right? His mind shot back to his mother; gosh talking to people was so hard. He half wished he could just cut it out, but his vocal cords were having minds of their own. So that dragon's name was Zim and her's was Glo. Okay... Ryan tried to calm himself down, but was failing. "R-r-r-ryan..." he said, once again stumbling over just a single word. While living in the forest, Ryan's actions had become parallel to some of the animals he had observed since his childhood. Right now, he was mostly looking like a mouse or squirrel. A really nervous and twitchy one.
Dusty relaxed as the Terrible Terror agreed and leaned into Ryan's hand more, trying to tell him to relax. It wasn't working much though. As the gust of wind blew through, Ryan barely felt it; he was rather adjusted to the cold. Dusty gave a slight shiver and blew out through his nose, swishing his tail. The thirteen year old gave another very slight and almost invisible nod to the older's words. "Y-y-y-yes..." he answered quietly. Dusty looked at the girl's hand warily as it came near him. His ears flattened only slightly and a small growl built up in his throat, his small and flat teeth a bit barred. The girl withdrew her hand after a small shriek growl from her dragon and the Brown relaxed.Character Name: Ryan Simons//Dusty Mood: Scared//Slightly on Guard To: Gloworm "Glo" and Zim the Terrible Terror IC Word Count: 365 Made By: Ellie Brigid at Olympian Prophecy

The girl watched Zim out of the corner of her eyes. Alright, he was fine in her hood. She looked back towards Ryan, blinking softly. "Hey. It's alright, I won't hurt you," she told him again, reaching up to move her bangs out of her eyesight. Tucking a strand of brown hair behind her ear, it was seen that freckles dotted her face.
O-oh.... n-n-nice t-t..t-to m-m-eet y-y-you... Glo looked towards the sky for a moment, eyes dancing. She began humming softly, no words to be heard. "R-r-r-ryan... Hearing him speak his name, she looked back at him. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Ryan."
Y-y-y-yes... She looked back towards the direction of the village; surely one extra set of hands and another dragon would be a good thing, right? Turning back to the younger boy, she smiled gently. "You know, if you need a place to stay, you and your dragon can come back to my village... I'm sure you'd be welcome."
From inside of her hood poked the head of Zim, curious once more. Climbing down his human, he sat at her feet for a moment, looking away innocently. When he thought she wasn't looking, the little Terrible Terror slithered over to Ryan. He sniffed the boy, then hissed. No, he didn't like this filth child at all. He smelt funny. Glo rolled her eyes, although she couldn't help but smile. "You can ignore him if you want. He thinks he's better than everyone else." TAGRyan/Dusty. LISTENING TO

Dusty eyed the Terrible Terror in the upwalker's hood, swishing his light brown tail from side to side. Dusty thought the small dragon was sort of the proud type, but perhaps the Terror was just protective of its human. The Brown looked back over to Ryan who was still just tripping over his words. The female didn't look like a threat to him, she seemed okay. The dragon still wasn't sure why Ryan was acting so weird all of the sudden though. The boy gave a slightly more visible nod.
Glo began humming, and Ryan remembered that too. He did it when he was little. "T-th-thanks..." he said quietly. He wasn't to sure about that; he still felt so odd talking to another human. The Brown beside him butted the teenager in the leg gently and looked at Glo meaningfully. "Would you calm down? She seems okay to me," he hurred. Ryan, of course, couldn't understand him. Sheesh, he wished he could sometimes.
Ryan looked as the girl's gaze was reverted to another direction. The Brown took a sniff of the air and flicked its ears. "O-o-oh... n-n-no t-t-th-thanks... I..I-I h-h-have a-a-a h-h-home..." he replied, struggling to get the words out. "H-h-here..." he added quietly, shuffling the ground with his feet. Village? With a lot of people? His stomach sank. If he was like this around one person, he didn't even want to think what he'd be like before a whole group. Besides, after living in the forest for thirteen years, a village would seem a bit cramped. Ryan wasn't really sure about the welcome part either. He was used to being by himself, but he had to admit, having this girl to talk to was sort of nice.
The Brown eyed the Terror cautiously as he wandered over to them. It took a sniff of Ryan and hissed, Dusty gave a slight growl. "If your wondering, you and your human don't smell that pleasant either," Dusty said in a slight hiss, but with a bit hesitation; his green eyes were reverted slightly to the ground. Ryan looked at the Terrible Terror and then took a slight step back when it hissed at him, not really sure what to do. "O-o-oh..." he stumbled, giving another almost invisible nod.OOC: Lol, hungry? Zim peeked over the fabric of his Tallest's hood, narrowing his eyes at the other dragon. There was something about him that he didn't trust. Or the Brown's master, for that matter. Something that he believed would hurt his beloved Glo.
Glowworm, on the other hand, paid no notice to her small dragon's behavior. She simply hid her hands in the pockets of her long-sleeved vest, letting out a sigh. As she did so, she noticed that she was able to see her breath. Glo smiled lightly, letting out a tiny laugh.
"It's getting colder than I thought," she pointed out. Looking towards the sky, the Viking-in-training noticed the clouds. They were an almost-stormy color, as if it were about to rain. Or snow. She liked the snow more than she should.
The girl reached behind her, pulling her wonderfully crazy dragon from her hood. She held him close, and he snuggled up, squirming restlessly. Zim smiled smugly. He loved the human, though he had a funny way of showing it. He would do just about anything for her.
Glo stroked a finger over her dragon's head, smiling slightly. His tail twitched happily. The girl looked up, wandering over to Ryan and Dusty slowly.
"He's really not that bad," she sighed. "He means well. It's just... He thinks that he's bigger and stronger than he really is. Typical of Terrible Terrors, from what I've heard." Zim blinked his wide eyes, staring up at Ryan uncertainly. He glanced back up at his human, who nodded slightly. Well, if this... this... meat sack was good enough for her, then he might as well go along with it. He stretched out his neck, sniffing Ryan's hand again. He didn't snap, or growl, or anything. Just sniffed.

Ryan shifted, slightly uncomfortable under the gaze of the Terrible Terror. It looked like it didn't like him, at all. The Terrible Terror seemed very attached and protective of its human. That was fine with Ryan though, he understood protectiveness. Dusty was protective of him, to an extent. Right now, Dusty was getting Ryan more and more out of his comfort zone, which was hard, but sort of working.
Meeting up with this human, for instance, was out of his comfort zone. Ryan hadn't met up with any human for, well, ever. He was way much more comfortable around animals than humans, growing up in a forest. Ryan breathed out and saw his breath hanging in the air before it disappeared. The cool season was coming. "Y-y-yeah..." Ryan stammered as the girl said that it was getting cold. Snow was alright with Ryan, just as long as it didn't make his house come down.
It was time to get out his warmer clothes. He'd spend his winter like he had all his others. Going out when necessary, and then, at other times, occupying himself and trying to keep warm. Most of the time he was, since he'd try to run through the forest to get exercise and knew how to make fire. Ryan also learned how to stock up and preserve food for the winter. Catching a fish during the cold season was sort of a luxury for him since he was still trying to perfect his ice fishing techniques.
Dusty put his head up to Ryan's hand and let out a soft huff. Ryan looked at the girl as she began to talk again. "I-I-I'm s-su-sure he-he's n-not..." he responded as she talked about her dragon. "O-oh... o-okay.." Good information to know. He needed to start memorizing dragons and their information. The Terrible Terror's head peaked out to look at him and Ryan steadily met its gaze. He was sort of surprised when the small dragon reached out its neck to sniff his hand, but Ryan kept still and tried to relax his body.OOC: Awesome to RP with you again!
