[Open to one or two please~]
Silence was bliss. Was, well, was a keyword here. A crash filled the area and several small dragons and other small animal's alike skittered away from a fallen tree. Debris, foliage and splinters of wood alike appeared as the dust cleared and a brilliant red glow simply glimmered as the light took its place on its warm scales. A large dragon, maybe a tad larger then the Monstrous Nightmare tossed his head and briefly glanced around. He wasn't exactly happy, but he was quite literally feeling guilty as he got angry enough to shatter a tree. With a small huff, he turned and took the task of putting out several bright flames before it destroyed the exterior of the mountainside. Truly a sight to behold, Syrus Stryker shifted his long wings but kept them folded and made his trek partially down the terrain of the mountain.
A practiced and slightly worn path led him to a decently flat area, wild grasses that gave him a pleasant feeling, large trees, rocks having obviously been moved to make a comfortable center was the making of his temporary home. With a shift, he lowered his large body and curled his tail around himself, absentmindedly cautious with his own spikes. He was an old dragon, albeit he was also a lonely dragon. He craved the presence of another dragon, be it male or female, or an actual viking that would take the effort to gain his trust or tame him. He huffed a plume of dark smoke in disdain and laid his head down on a great clawed paw as he closed vibrant ruby eyes. Today would most likely be normal, boring, and quiet. Or, maybe not...

Ryan had decided to go out of his comfort zone of the forest. That wasn't saying much since he fully intended to go back an hour or so later. He filled his sack with food, and started walking. Dusty trailed after him, wondering where they were headed. The Brown was leading his human more than Ryan was leading him though. Ryan didn't mind at all. He wasn't accustomed to the forest outside of his home. Besides, Dusty seemed to know where he was going and Ryan trusted his judgement.
Dusty had no idea where he was going, actually; well, he had some idea. The feeling underneath his paws felt slightly familiar. Half of him was just as curious as Ryan as to the outside of their small forest. The Brown had been raised in the forest and hadn't traveled much out of it, so like the boy, he had almost no idea of the places outside. The dragon gave a slight hurr and a playful tail sweep as he saw Ryan falling behind him a bit. Ryan laughed and half ran to catch up to the Brown. A few minutes later, both dragon and human felt themselves going up hill. The Brown gave a sniff of the ground and then continued up. Ryan looked down a few minutes later. They were up high, on a mountain. Ryan was fine with that, he didn't mind heights from the tree climbing. Dusty gave the human a slight nudge as he saw a warn path leading off the climbing trail. Ryan nodded and veered off the path and onto the worn one. Dusty gave a slight purr and followed happy. Perhaps there was a place they could rest.
The dragon almost clashed into the human as Ryan came to an abrupt stop. "What?" the dragon asked trying to peak around the teenager. It soon became apparent to him as to why Ryan had stopped. "You haven't seen a lot of dragons in your life, have you?" Dusty huffed, looking at Ryan with light green eyes. The dragon nudged the human's hand in reassurance, wishing that they boy could understand him. Hopefully this dragon wouldn't see them as a threat. It was no surprise to the Brown to see dragons up here. Now that he thought about it, he sort of remembered coming up here once.OOC: I hope this is okay! OOC: Perfectly fine xD and I'ma gonna stop using center, too much of a hassle.
Syrus the fire guardian had eventually fell asleep, breathing deep and in complete peace supposedly. His dreams were always odd, dark and sullen, yet for once he slept peacefully, his tail tapping the ground contently with a decently good dream. Though he knew he had no friend, nor partner, nor love. It was saddening. He enjoyed what he was seeing now though, until he roused from his sleep. Staring at a leaf for awhile, the red eyes just, studied it. Every vein, the colors of green, dark and light. Partially ripped and crumpled.
It felt like him.
Sighing, he chuckled at his own thoughts then paused and lifted his long head. Two people? Well one seemed nervous, no surprise, yet. Deciding on something, he looked to the little dragon, his spiked tail curling to one side. He seemed desperate for a little company or something, so he spoke in Dragonese to the smaller dragon.
"Its fairly rare I see anybody who doesn't run on sight, though taking my chances, I am of no harm..." He shut his mouth then and glanced to the boy before shifting and, just assuming the human may or may not know their language, he addressed Dusty.
"I am called Syrus...you are?" He tilted his head but shifted his paws under his scaled breast, quite content to just lay in spot as two individuals who hadn't run from him was a plus to this day.

This was crazy to Ryan. He had almost never seen dragons in the forest he had lived in. Maybe there had been and they had just kept missing eachother or the dragons didn't like Ryan's part, whichever. All Ryan knew was that this was slightly abnormal. Sure, he had heard stories of the great beasts, but to actually see all of them was like a story come to life. His parents had said that some humans had been able to train a few dragons. Hence Ryan tamed Dusty, although it wasn't that hard. Dusty seemed the tamable type. It also helped that his teeth weren't sharp and he was a herbivore, but it could be taken into account a bit.
Ryan gulped down a yelp and the urge to run for it as the large dragon lifted its head. One, yelling and running may provoke a chase which was the last thing Ryan wanted to do. Dusty took Ryan's sleeve in his mouth and gently yanked down. "Stay," the Brown hurred to his human. Honestly, this dragon didn't look like a huge threat and it hadn't displayed any signs of hurting them. Then again, one could say that Dusty was just a bit to optimistic about these sort of things. He'd rather see the good in other dragons and humans and stray away from the fact that their intentions towards him and Ryan may be bad. They could only be acting, just to get a strike at the young dragon and human, but that thought didn't usually cross the brown's mind. The small dragon let go and took a few steps forward as the older dragon began talking in dragonese. He nodded his head. "Alright," Dusty nodded, slightly shy, as he said that he wasn't of harm. That was always a good piece of information to know; Dusty took the older dragon's word for it. "Hello Syrus," Dusty hurred respectfully, blinking his light green eyes. "I am Dusty."OOC: ^^ Okay! To tell the truth, Syrus was already amused. Definitely a great turn for the day for him. As the one named Dusty tried to calm his human, the great red dragon tilted his head to get a better look at the other dragon. It was odd, two new people, well, one not a people but a creature like him, seeing him and not running. He was rambling in his own head, maybe he needed to stop doing that. Shaking his head slightly, he focused once more on the other dragon and lowered his head, keeping his paws crossed on the ground as the sun beat on the crimson color.
With a curl of his scaled mouth in what looked like a smile, more resembling a dragon's smirk, he thrummed deep in his throat and laid his head down, no longer looking at all threatening. "Well met, Dusty...though I assume your human isn't exactly, even remotely relaxed... I mean no harm, to a dragon's oath..." He shut his mouth and glanced to Ryan, briefly flicking a forked tongue. after he finished studying the one on two legs, he looked back to the other dragon then closed his eyes.
"I'm often incredibly lonely... I don't blame you both for being terrified or, as your scent says wary, every living thing seems the same, I'm only pleasantly surprised neither of you have run away yet..."

Ryan was slowly beginning to calm down, but not by much. This dragon was huge! Then again, that wasn't saying much since Ryan regarded anything bigger than Dusty large. That, plus, it looked a little intimidating. The boy felt Dusty's teeth clamp around his overly large sleeve and tried to keep his feet planted in the ground. Ryan was slightly very freaked out, but tried to keep himself calm. He still remembered that animals could read human emotions, but right now, Ryan wasn't really keen on keeping his emotions hidden that well.
Dusty let out a hurr of relief. This dragon wasn't going to hurt them, good. If it had the intent of that, he had Ryan could of been dead in a heartbeat. Ryan wasn't doing a great job of hiding his terror. It was coming off him in waves. After meeting him, Dusty had wanted to take Ryan out of his small forest confinement. He wanted to get his human out of his comfort zone. The Brown thought this as a first result of getting out was a little bit of an overkill, but it was something exciting. Ryan eyed the dragon and twitched; it looked like it was smirking. Like it was ready and considering to burn him into a crisp.
The Brown let out a laugh. "No, he's not," he hurred, with a slight tint of amusement. "Oh, I believe, you," Dusty said honestly. "It just may take him a few minutes to come around is all," he said, nudging Ryan's hand. Ryan looked at the dragon as it began looking him over, his forked tongue flickering out. The boy held his breath, then slowly let it out, it wasn't hurting him... that must count for something. He could tell that, if it wanted, it could of easily taken down both him and Dusty if it wanted to. Ryan relaxed a quarter of an inch.
"Oh, I am sorry to hear that, Syrus," the Brown hurred sincerely. "We both, my human and I, know what it's like to be lonely... not a good feeling," Dusty hurred, shaking his head. "I don't think we'll be running away any time soon..." Dust sat down and half butted Ryan to a sitting, kneeling position. "Hey!" Ryan said in protest as his knees buckled and he went down. The boy looked between the two dragons, confused about what was being exchanged. He really wished he could understand them.OOC: Awesome to be posting with you again!
