I can has plot?

So I was thinking, since there are more members here now and this place is a bit more active, how about we start up a little plot? And by that I mean a thread involving several members (more than three) where something happens that directly involves the main plot or at least is rather significant. I wasn't thinking anything too specific. I'm open for ideas. Here are just some I had:

1. A group of youngsters decide to venture out of the safety of their village and explore more dangerous lands like Hysteria. Whether it is to simply show their bravery or genuinely see what's happened to their unfriendly neighbors depends on who's involved and whose idea it was.

2. A training session out in the mountains goes disastrous when a sudden weather phenomena (earthquake, typhoon, tsunami--make your pick) separates the students from their dragons and they have no choice but to get along and survive the treacherous terrain until either help arrives or they can find a way back to their village.

And... that's it. Like I said, I'm all open for ideas, new ones or variations of these. And when a plot finally is decided, we can start it whenever everyone is ready. Of course, you don't have to participate... BUT YOU'LL BE SORRY.

Dangit, Alfrun's up for both!

I've actually been thinking of using the Hysteria vikings for a huge bit of development for her character, so I want to join in, but I'm leaning away from that until I've established her a bit more. (BTW I'm sorry I post such short stuff, I can never understand how you guys get yours so long.)

The weather anomaly scenario is actually where Alfrun could slightly shine, as she's used to not having a dragon, and would know the most about fairing on her own. So it would be a prime opportunity to have a laugh at her expense by having fate see fit that she ends up completely on her own, or with the dragons. XD

Okay, here goes what I remember....

I liked both of your ideas, Milk, but the first one sounds a bit.... idiotic on the "youngsters" part. Unless peer pressure was the case or something like that, lol. Woo~ Hysterians! Moar Evil Aya! xDD Though I find this one appealing because of the practically inevitable, impending, battle between the two tribes. >w< Yay, violence!

I love the idea of #2, maybe moreso than the other. As for the weather catastrophe, it would probably need to be severe wind related shizz, like a hurricane(this is the northern hemisphere right? lol), so that the dragons can't start flying around looking for their lost owners. But I do like this option mainly because Daevra's reaction--fits, whining, complaining, and general spazzing out--to the separation would undoubtedly be humourous on the member's point of view. Lol, I'd almost feel sorry for whoever got stuck with him. XD Almost. I'm not that sympathetic for characters. XD Lol, They had it coming. I would think for the most part, Aya would be alright on her own, but she's not too fond of crowds or groups that "will be depending on her." (she doesn't like attention, lol) So who she's with shouldn't get their hopes up XD Heck, she'd find just leaving the group better for her, but she's too nice to do that. XDDD

Anyway, I might have a few potential ideas in mind, but when I get them better constructed I'll bring them up in a later post.

I think #2 would be best to go for, due simply to our lack of Hysterians, unless they just explored the land. And also, the plain idea of a natural disaster is awesome...XD Especially considering some characters might be a total mess without their dragons..XD

Okay, so we seem to like #2 the best. So did I. Good job reading my mind!

Now, what my initial idea was that all the the students got stuck together in a big group rather than separated in small groups or completely alone. That, or they could start off alone and then find each other gradually. All the dragons will preferably find each other, too, and either bicker or help each other find their owners.

Once all the students realize that getting home isn't as easy as take-the-next-right-over-the-hill, they have to hunt and gather food and water. A leader will either be selected or stand up on his/her own. Fear may strike up rebelliousness and caused the group the split up. Danger will be inevitable, whether it be by the treacherous terrain or aggressive wild dragons.

Bonds may be formed between characters and we might learn things about them we didn't know before. After all, what better time to spill out all your life's secret than in a cave with a bunch of strangers, right?

Suggestions. I need more suggestions. Nothing too specific or else it won't be fun to actually RP, but we need to know the direction we'll be going in after everyone is split up.

Well, Alfrun's going to lose her hand, because I can't make sense of how that thing would stay on in a hurricane/tsunami/earthquake/etc. Plus, while she's used to operating on her own, she's no longer used to putting up with people being wary of her missing hand, as she's convinced everyone it's just paralyzed, not gone. But I don't think many would see it gone, maybe just one or two.

She's going to be quite fascinated in how they all fair, since she's a bit of an outsider looking in. This'll be an amazing opportunity to see how they would all fair under this kind of pressure.

Lastly, I really want to make her quote Gobber at some point. Not particularly worried about context, I just really want to. XD "I think I'll stay, just in case you're thinking of doing something crazy."

This sounds really good! Wolf would probably be completely lost and worry all the time because of Nai's injured wing. She would probably blame everyone for everything she didn't do XP.

Maybe some of the wild dragons- like Nameless and Saret (or whatever they are calling themselves)- should come and meet the humans, because some would have a fit and try and kill them. Some. I dunno if any vikings would do that, but I'm sure one or two would panic.

And maybe lots of secrets would spill. Wolf would certainly blurt out who she likes...

A - either meet the lost vikings, show himself as friendly and try to help them reunite with their dragon's, or bring them home. [Whichever is preferable to everybody] or:
B - find the dragons and work the other way around.

We have soooo many more members than we did before now. Unfortunately, I'm a lot less active than I was when I first proposed these ideas. A lot of people seem to be resorting to making wild dragons since vikings-in-training aren't available right now and I'm not sure how well those kinds of characters would fit into this.

So, with a show of hands, who's interested in participating in this plot, regardless of your character?

OOoohhh! I loveh this! I think maybe Drakoh would be interesting to use because none of the vikings know how to deal with a dragon that doesn't like them. I spoke to Madhawk and Wolf and they are all for it too

I know I can't roleplay until my character is accepted, but sense my character is a dragon, I would like for her to somehow get involved. If I could have Frostfire be up with Drakoh...? She is kind to other Night Furies, by the way 030
