Curtis was just getting ready to leave the edge of Toothless Forest to look around abit more. He had gotten everything packed up that he had brought with himself and Slity. Curtis would be going over his Items. "Books, Sword, Slity" He would pet his White Fear. "Alright Slity I'm going to put the Holder around you now" The Holder was just a simple leather strap that would go around Slity's Stomach, It would have a container on the side of it that would hold Curtis's Stuff. Curtis would strap the Holder onto Slity and would hop on top of his back before jumping off a small cliff and taking off.
About 30 Minutes later Curtis and Slity would come to a Canyon, They decided to look around abit before landing down on a clear large, cliff edge. After Landing Curtis had taken the Holder off of Slity and against a small rock, He would take his Rapier from the Container and attach it to his Belt. "Well Slity Why don't we take a small rest here and see if anything happens eh?" Slity would let off a small noise as if agreeing to Curtis. Slity would lay down and close his eyes relaxing.
OOC: Yes it started in Toothless Forest but the Rp will take place in the Canyon just so people know.

Atlanta had been on her morning run when she first heard the sound of a dragon flying off into the distance. She slowed silently to a walk, glancing up into the tree tops to be sure her dragon had heard the noise. Who else would be out this early, when she was normally the only one up and running before the sunrise? The timberjack huffed his nostrils, using his large wing claws to edge down the rough bark.
"Fang? I want to find out who that was. Are you ready to go for a little glide?" Atlanta whispered, as the dark green dragon strode quietly up to her. He snorted twice in response, and the lanky girl nodded, easing up behind his wings and grasping hold of his short back spikes. Fang lifted his claws from the ground, flapping his wings to hold himself upright on his hind legs. With a powerful shove, he took off, leaving the trodden path behind and flying onward after the disappearing figure of the White Fear.
It seemed to take ages before dragon and rider neared the mysterious duo up ahead. From a distance, Atlanta questioned if she had seen the White Fear's rider before, but she couldn't see clearly enough from the mist gathering at the end of the forest and the beginning of the canyon. Quickly reminding herself that not all dragons and their riders were friendly, she recalled the few strong attack moves she knew. Atlanta was not one who enjoyed blood, in fact she fairly fainted at the sight of it, but she had made the best of her weakness by learning the body's touch points. A bit of pressure here, a bit of pressure there, and she could leave someone paralyzed in an instant. Not to mention that her runs had made her fast enough to dodge many blows in order to get close enough to attack. Despite how she had made up for her ineptitudes, Atlanta feared that she could never be accepted in a viking village where blood and fearlessness was the price of respect.
Fang seemed to sense her discomforting thoughts, and he looked up at her sideways. "It's okay Fang. I was just thinking." The dragon looked forward again and flapped his wings harder still, until he caught sight of the White Fear and it's rider, landing on the ledge of the canyon. He tilted his leathery wings downward, and flapped them twice to quell the winds before alighting besides the unknown pair. Atlanta slid from the harness, walking purposefully over to the other rider and standing besides him.
"What are you doing out so early?" She asked imploringly, braced to run if the situation called. "I haven't seen you around Berk before. Are you new?" Atlanta questioned, trying to push down her suspicions as to why she'd never meant this boy before.

Although Curtis hadn't seen it because he was resting, Slity had been switching his ears from a calm looking mode, to a somewhat alert mode from the noises around the area. When the Viking came up to them and asked the questions, Both Curtis and Slity looked at the Dragon and the Viking with their Same color deep blue eyes. Curtis would be tapping the hilt of his Rapier because he still hadn't know much about the native vikings around Berk. Curtis would shake his head abit. "Oh. Me and my Dragon were out for a Early fly, We decided to go around and see if we can't find anything interesting." Curtis would take out his small Black covered map book and look for the Island they were on. "Oh.. Ya Berk.." Curtis would have a somewhat awkward look on his face from the mentioning of Berk. Curtis didn't want to meet anyone from Berk until he knew the area abit more so that is the reason he would seem abit awkward.
Curtis would finally answer with a somewhat smile and laughing abit. "There would be no way you could of seen me in Berk." Curtis would think for a second "If you mean new as in you just never have seen me? or New as in not from this area?" "Ugh. Probably just confused them now" Curtis would think "Because if it's the second answer of New to this area, Then that's the right answer.
Curtis would look over at Slity then back at the Viking "Yea... Im sorry if im confusing you, I sometimes do that to people." Curtis would take his hand off his Rapier seeing as how there is not much of a threat right now. He would stand up and look at the Viking, "You see Im not around here. Not any of the surrounding Isles either. Im from down south, I came here after.. Well a problem arose at the Manor i lived in and I left ." Curtis would look down at the half awake White fear. "Im sorry for not introducing myself. Im Curtis and this is Slity." Curtis would hold his hand out to offer a Handshake. "And your name is?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Go ahead and ask My character any questions. lol

Atlanta relaxed her hands, ceasing the constant commotion in her brain, reminding her of the basic touch points. She was still hesitant though, wondering why someone would be in the area and partners with a dragon if they didn't live in Berk. A curl of chestnut hair slid down from her intricate hair knot, and she sighed in annoyance and pulled it all messily atop her head, trying to keep it from blocking her eyes. From what she could see, Curtis didn't seem to be a threat. She eyed his weapon with a shrewd glance, being careful to note it's style so that no blood could be drawn in case he did decide to go offensive.
"It's nice to meet you Curtis. And you as well, Slity," Atlanta said, giving a slight nod of her head at the dragon. Fang came to stand besides her, wrapping his tail protectively around her legs and cautiously sticking his nose out to sniff the strangers. Seemingly deciding them nonthreatening, Fang pulled back and sat across from Slity. "My name is Atlanta. I'm in training to be a Viking," she continued, crossing her arms and looking him in the eyes.
"But whatever do you mean you're new to the area? Who are you traveling with? Or... am I right to assume Slity is your only companion?" She raised an eyebrow, recalling the last time she'd run out on her own. Granted, she'd met Fang that day, but she had also abandoned her family, leaving her younger brother to burn down the house. Her precious brother. The one who always got everything, always did everything right, always succeeded. Until that day, when she'd run away, and he'd been burned for life. Traveling alone and leaving things behind was dangerous indeed.
"Don't you...Umm...Don't you miss home?" Atlanta sighed, "I don't know what I'd do without my home." Fang looked at her curiously, likely recalling the day they had met. He touched the edge of his long tail to her leg reassuringly. With a smile, Atlanta forced her thoughts down and touched his nose affectionately.
"That's not to say there's anything wrong with being alone with your dragon. I'd be lose without Fang!" she stated factually, giggling a bit as the timberjack snorted a small burst of fire as she tickled his chin.

Curtis would nod his head abit "A Viking in training? Well... " Curtis would go over it in his head. "Eh, Never heard that term of a Viking "In Training." ". Curtis would look around the area, "What i mean by Im new to this area is that i came here less then a month ago." Curtis would scratch the back of his head. "But Yes, Slity is the only that came with me to this island." Curtis recalls the day he met Slity quiet well. Walking through the cave with a torch in one hand and the sword in the other looking around to see what the noise was, Just before coming to a sunlit room only to see a White Fear pop up behind him. It was quite interesting to Curtis Himself.
Curtis would shake his head abit "Do I miss home? Eh, Maybe abit but im glad I'm not there anymore. I would mind going back to Red Rock though.. It's a Very nice place and alot warmer then it is here." Curtis would think back to the last day he was there, Looking for Slity in a large Field behind his home. Slity was more of the Defensive / Playful Kind of Dragon, Seems kinda of an odd Combination but it seemed to work.
Curtis would leave the thought in his head to roam around, He would look over at Fang and smile abit "He's a Timber jack right? I've seen abit of them on my way here" Curtis would look back at Slity with his eyes closed "Have you ever seen A White Fear?" A White Fear looked just like a Night Fury. But instead of being a deep black color they were a bright white. "You can't find them around this area, Gotta go more south and they are pretty hard to spot in the day. At night? It's easier i guess"
Curtis would shift his weight back and forth abit "So I'm guessing that your from the Viking town Berk?" Curtis would think "I've only flown over it afew times, Never really had the... Hmm, Well i guess i just never had the Guts to go down and land there" Curtis would laugh abit at his own comment "Im not really sure on how Vikings would take to someone like myself"
Slity would open his eyes and look up at the clouds in the sky before looking over at the Timber jack and Viking with his ears perked up.

Atlanta looked puzzled. Even though he had said it himself, it became increasingly obvious that Curtis wasn't from around here. She almost thought he seemed a bit uncomfortable talking about everything. Eventually though, she sat down besides him and continued to listen and reply.
"So let me get this straight. You're a traveler, right? Here with your dragon. And you doubt the Vikings would like you? Hardly. Most people around here praise the people lucky enough to have a dragon partner. My Dad hardly noticed me until I met Fang. And now...Well, that's a story for later..." Atlanta trailed off, grabbing a stick of mutton jerky from her pack and tossing it into the air. Fang swallowed it in a gulp and grabbed her bag firmly in his teeth, trying to shake more out and looking at her reproachfully when none came. "Where exactly are you from, anyway? Obviously near Red Rock, I can tell that much. Although, I've never been there myself. Come to think of it, I don't even know if I've heard of it. Is that near Dragon Island?"
Atlanta snatched her bag back from Fang and gave him a devilish grin, tossing another slice of the hardened meat his way. The pair had a strange relationship. Both dragon and rider were vastly different characters, but they seemed to have a constant understanding of one another. "You're right though, Fang's a timberjack. I'm lucky to have him. They're pretty rare. It's wonderful that you've seen them before. He cleared an entire pathway in the forest just for me to do my runs. But a White Fear...Now that's something I've never seen before. Slity is good looking though."
Fang snorted an annoyed puff of smoke and glared at Atlanta, as though completely flabbergasted that she would even consider complimenting anyone but him. She rolled her eyes in response, and he turned his back on her with an undignified rumble in the back of his throat.
"You should come to Berk sometime. I'm sure everyone there would be happy to see you. We're a bit distrustful of strangers, but anyone capable of befriending one of the nice dragons can't be a bad lot," she replied in regards to his questions of her homeland, laughing along with him. It seemed funny to her that anyone could be scared of her people. Then again, the main point of the Viking was to strike fear in the hearts of enemies, so perhaps it wasn't as surprising as she had initially considered.

Curtis would lay his head back against Slity and would look at the sky "Well, Be lucky you had a Father the noticed you." Curtis would close his eyes and shake his head "My dad didn't notice me until I came home with Slity one day, And it wasn't the good kind of noticing." Curtis would look over at Atlanta abit thinking "Heh. He acually tried to kill Slity, He wasn't the one for Dragon apperently." Curtis would look over at Slity petting him "Kinda stupid what i did. Or tried to do for revenge."
Curtis would smile at the Question Atlanta asked about where Red Rock was, "You dont know how many people ask me that question" Curtis would look around for his bag and after finding it he would grab the Black Map Book he made and would open it up to the first page, it would show a map of a Large area, on the Edge their would be an Island with the name ontop of it named Berk. Across the page would be a Fairly large Mainland with the Name Red Rock over it. Curtis would pass the book to Atlanta with the Mainland and other islands Curtis had been to. "Here's Red Rock, and Here's Berk. That is a very long trip going between these islands for breaks" Curtis would point the the islands scattered around the sea between the two locations. "I made this page Sideways, Flip it on its side to get the North and South Directions." Curtis Would flip the book on its side and hand it back to Atlanta showing Red Rock Far south.
Curtis would Allow her to look at the map book while he awnsered the rest of the questions. "Ya, I have heard Timber's are able to cut through trees quite easily." Curtis would laugh abit "I really do think White Fears, And Night Furys are cusions or somthing. I mean look at Slity and compare him to a Night Fury. They look the same just diffrent coloring." Curtis would laugh abit again.
Curtis would think "Mabye I will come to Berk sometime. It would be intersting to look around a Viking town." Curtis would nod his head while fixing his sleave. "You should go have a look at Red Rock." Curtis would laugh " If you ever get the Idea to I would mind going with you, I know the way and I know the People there. Quite Freindly, But No one has seen a Viking there." Curtis would look around the someone rough landscape and looking up at the sky, at the someone pinkish sky from the sun rising up. " I think you know why i got the feeling of not being sure about Vikings if no one i knew saw them."
Slity would get up slowly and Curtis would move his head off him. Slity would look at Curtis and motion his head towards the clear sea. Curtis would nod his head "Ya Go ahead Slity". Slity would take off for a fly towards the sea moving around the area. "So Any other questions?"

"Be lucky you had a father that noticed you...My Dad didn't notice me until I came home with Slity one day, and it wasn't the good kind of noticing..." Atlanta paused at the underlying hints in his statement, looking at him with a slightly different glance. Half of her was urging him to tell her what she meant, and the other half was cringing. Maybe his father wasn't the subject to discuss right now, especially if any feelings in that area were still raw. She had just met him after all.
"Well, I guess it's good you have Slity then," she continued awkwardly, but decided that he wasn't the sort to have done anything too awful to a father who didn't deserve it. Of course, not that deserving anything could justify certain crimes, but accidents do happen, and sometimes the truth is better left unsaid.
As he pulled out the map, Atlanta admired the way it worked at stared oddly at Red Rock. She'd never heard of it, let alone seen it before. She stared at the mainland, and the island with a sense of awe. "You mean you flew all that way, just you and Slity?" She had no intention of sounding patronizing, but it was still a feat that left her slightly baffled. That was an awfully long journey for a boy and a dragon to make. Then again, Hiccup and Toothless were being forced into adventures way past there standard capabilities. It wasn't so surprising that the world wasn't out of throwing things in the way of young people just yet. She knew that fact personally.
Fang stretched his wings as Curtis spoke about them, listening to him talk with a dull expression of boredom. Any dragon could tell he was itching to get back in the air. Atlanta looked from him to Curtis and spoke gently, "Oh, yes. Timber's can cut through just about anything. His firepower is a force to be reckoned with too. It's not just his claws that cause harm, but those do damage well enough. Fang here is lucky not to be forced into working for humans because of them. I heard an awful myth that loggers down south were using the last few Timberjack's to fell all of the trees for houses." She looked at her proud green dragon sadly, acknowledging that his was a dwindling kind, and feeling quite sorry that his family was probably part of the work force now. "I'm hoping it's just a story, though. But you're right, Slity does look exactly like the Night Fury's I've heard about. I've only seen one once, and it was amazing. You'd think he'd be like...Some sort of Day Fury. Like, a relative."
Atlanta smiled. "I'm sure the people in Berk would love to see him. We're all about dragons these days. None of us really dislike them anymore. Except my Grandmother, but you won't meet her. She spends all day hidden in her old cottage," she said, wrinkling her nose. Ever since she met Fang, Atlanta started disliking her Grandmother more and more. "Of course, Red Rock sounds fascinating too. I'd love to go with you eventually." 'You know, if we stay friends and you don't hate me just because I can't stand blood...' she thought to herself.
Eventually, the itch got the better of Fang and, with a slight nod of his head toward his rider, the Timberjack launched himself into the air after Slity. He growled in excitement, happy to be airborne again. He glanced sideways at the White Fear, thinking a lot but saying very little. Fang spoke clearly, and perfectly well, but he was a dragon of little words, and he only spoke when he had something truly worth saying. After all, he'd already been introduced. He wondered whether he ought to say anything, or just continue flying.

Curtis would look at the book and take it back and place it gently back into the bag closing a small flap holding the book in place now. Curtis would look over at Atlanta smiling "Ya it's a good thing I have Slity. Don't know what I would do with out the curious Dragon" Curtis would laugh abit as he would go through in his head how many times Slity has been driven off with curiosity looking around the new area's looking for new things to do, It was quite interesting what Slity would think off at those times. He would look around then back at Atlanta As she would ask the next question "You mean you flew all that way, just you and Slity?" Curtis would nod his head "Ya, We did fly all this way, Was fun to do too" Curtis would nod his head abit thinking again.
Curtis would listen to Atlanta again "Day Fury... Hmm Would be a odd name. Maybe more of a Day Mare" Curtis would say that with a little bit more excitement in his tone, He enjoyed talking with new people from new area's it gave him a better idea of the area by talking with one or two people. "Your all about Dragon's these days?" Curtis would run it through his head "Had they use to fight Dragons like they did more then four hundred years ago in Red Rock?" It was an interesting thought that he would decide to tell to Atlanta "Hmm. I was thinking, Did the people of Berk kill off Dragons for some reasons? Back in Red Rock they used to kill them off because they would come through and attack the important buildings until about Four Hundred years ago when we figured out that it was due to the reason that we were starting to build over into their territory." Curtis would stop with a kinda odd Expression "Sorry if Im boring you or anything, It's just a short story I love to tell people" Curtis would laugh abit and smile at his comment "But basically we built the other way and the Dragon's didn't take us as a threat anymore and they became pretty friendly with us." Curtis would finish his little story off smiling.
Curtis would stand up and look around abit seeing if he was able to see Slity flying from where he was, He couldn't and decided to sit down again. "Really you would like to come with me to Red Rock?" Curtis would say with a Happy sounding question "I was kinda thinking of going a different way back this time If you do want to come." Curtis would laugh abit

Atlanta smiled, silently wishing that she'd had the idea herself to map out the places she'd been. Not that it'd be more than a page though, as the furthest she'd ever went was with Fang over the sea, and that was by accident. Never, never again would she fall asleep flying. "I'm surprised, honestly, that you managed to have fun on that trip. Although, I suppose if I had more one-one-one time with Fang I might enjoy a long trip too."
She pondered to herself, toying with the end of a piece of hair absentmindedly, as she often did when distracted. "But my people don't give me much time with my dragon. They respect them now, and value them as a part of culture, but I still have to sneak off to find time to meet Fang," she admitted honestly. "There are still people who are relatives of the old families, the ones that fought against the dragons. Here, it was the sheep stealing that the vikings hated dragons for. But they found out that the dragons weren't doing it to be mean. They were trying to feed a massive, unheard of dragon. Sort of like...A bee hive. That dragon was their queen. Or king, I guess. But some people still cling to the old ways of dragon killing because they've never forgiven them for the lost herds of sheep."
As Curtis spoke about the history of Red Rock, she stared at him, practically enraptured. It was amazing for her to hear about a place she'd never heard before. "Oh yes, I'd love to go with you. And your stories aren't boring. It's...Well, it's fascinating really. Here, the only stories we get are about Berk. We hear a lot about Toothless and Hiccup, and some about the strong Vikings before his time, but to tell the truth, I hardly know anything outside of my village." It was tough for Atlanta to admit that, having spent so many of her days buried in books, desperate to learn more, to make up for her weaknesses around blood. She'd never want to be useless.
Atlanta repeated herself quietly now, more to herself than to Curtis. "Yes, I'd give anything to go with you..." It was about time she had an adventure.

Gonna make this post short. Gonna finish off this and start off another post ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Slity would come back and land behind Curtis looking at Atlanta and Fang. "Well I guess we can leave in the morning tommorow" Curtis would throw his bag onto his back standing up. "There's a flat spot by the docks in Berk we can meet". Curtis would climb onto Slity's back and he would look down at Atlanta "I would suggest bringing somthing abit lighter in the way of clothing due to the warmer weather" Curtis would smile at Atlanta "Ill see you tommorow, Get what ever you need done and head there in the morning. Cya!" Slity would jump off the cliff and would fly towards the sea before taking a turn towards the denser part of the Forest at the end of the canyon.
