Boat Ride.

The Day would be clear, The Sun would be relesing it's soothing warm ray's down to the ground from the sky above. The wind would be steady and calm. Afew clouds in the sky. It seemed like a great day. It was alot nicer then some of the other days that Berk would usally experiance.

Curtis would be down at the docks messing around with a boat trying to get it to work properly. He knew what he was doing just it was taking a little longer then he thought it would. Slity was Flying around the town waiting for Curtis to finish what he was doing on the boat. Curtis was nearly done and was almost ready to get going. He kinda felt like just going for a boat ride. Where to? He wasn't sure but incase anything happend and couldn't get the boat anywhere in the middle of the sea. Slity would be able to take back off to the island with him. He was pretty sure nothing would go wrong, But as they would usally say. Luck favours the Prepared And he was prepared.

Curtis would finish with making the adjust ments to the boat and would look around it to get a good visual of the entire thing.

Luna was Walking down the main street of the village of berk. She was on her way to the docks to meet curtis, the two of them were taking a trip for a few days. They were going to head south a ways. It was a clear day with a good wind, a perfect day for sailing. The sun was shining and the temperature was perfect. She walked along, her dragons following her. Her bag was heavier than usual today because she had packed some extra things, a blanket, some dried meat and fruit, some basic herbs, and her knife among other things. The wind rustled her red blonde hair and she ean her fingers through it. She saw slity, Curtis' white fear fly overhead, he must have seen her because he touched down and approached her. "hi, slity." she said to her friend's dragon. She gave his head a little scratch before he took off again. "stay here." she said to her own two dragons, she was almost to the docks now. She continued to walk until they reached the small port on the coast of berk, where ships sailed in and out of all day. She walked down the long wooden platform, looking for Curtis until she found him working on something on a small vessel towards the end of the dock. "hello, there!" she said smiling at him.

Curtis would pop is head up and would look at Luna Smiling. "Hey. You got everything?" Why did he ask that, she looked completely prepared? He guesses that it was just to make sure. Curtis would laugh abit. Curtis would have just finished with the boat when Luna spoke. He would walk over to a latch box and would take the latch off and would throw his bag inside of the box. Curtis would turn around and would ask Luna if he could take her bag. She handed over the bag to him and he walked over placing the bag inside of the box before closing it and putting the lock back on it. Curtis would let forth a sharp whistle. A few moments later Slity would run over towards them and would stop in front of Luna. Luna's Terror's would be on Slity back.

Curtis would look around. "Well it seems like were ready to go." Curtis would look over at Luna. "You ready?" He would await a response before untying the rope. The sky would stay as calm as could be, And it was gonig to stay like that for the next week or so, So this would be the best time to travel anywhere by boat.

Luna slipped her leather bag over her head and off her shoulder and handed the bag over to Curtis who put it in a wooden box situated on the back of the boat. She could see other things in it when he opened it, but she couldnt tell what they were. She stood there for a minute with her hands on her hips looking around, she didn't get down to the docks very often so she wanted to get a good look at her surroundings. There was one main dock with a few smaller ones branching off. There were about 15 or 20 other vessels in the port- all different kinds. There was a good amount of people there besides them, mostly fishermen. The water lapped up on the shore making a soothing sound. The wind was stronger down by the water, the breeze flapped around her shirt and her skirt. It felt good. She brought her attention back to Curtis. "so, are we ready to go?" she asked looking at him. He nodded and she handed over snatcher and snip, who were both very exited to be going somewhere new. "well, I guess that just leaves me then." she said looking around

Curtis would smile and would help Luna onto the boat. Once she was on he would untie the rope and would bring it onto the boat. He would fix the sails abit and the boat would start moving along the water. Curtis would direct the boat to go south bound. He would look back at Berk as the island would look like it would start to get smaller looking the further they went from the island. He would look over at Luna and would laugh abit. "Well, I guess taking a boat is easier they fly." He would of remembered that day pretty clearly.

The sky would get a bright, bright blue. Afew hours later and the day would still be like how it was Berk. Only Weather diffrence is that it has gotten abit warmer. Curtis would look around the area by the boat. "Few degree's this way, That way would be... " Curtis would start to bable on quietly to himself. He would look up and would look at Slity flying above the boat. He would look over at Luna. "About an hour or two more before we hit one of the southern Isles." Curtis would look at the way the boat was going.

Luna clambered onto the boat with the help of Curtis. She thanked him and Watched as he took the rope and coiled it inside of the boat. And maneuvered the vessel out into open sea. The ocean was beautiful, the endless blue ran right into the horizon where it met the sky. she reached her hand over the side of the boat and let it cut through the cool water. As the day went on it got a little warmer And Luna and Curtis spoke briefly. Curtis was pretty focused on keeping on course. He mumbled to himself alot. She glanced over at him every once in awhile and smile. She looked up into the sky and saw the three dragons flying above them. They were playing together, they looked like they were having fun. She could here them speaking playfully to each other in dragonese. Every once in a while one of them would swoop down and check on them real quick before flying back up into the sky again. Curtis said that in a few hours, they would hit some of the southern isles. Luna wondered what they would encounter there. She had only ever been to hysteria and berk, Curtis had been to many islands that Luna had never even heard of before. She thought it over for awile before getting up and walking over to were Curtis was. hi, you've been awfully quiet today." she said looking at him and smiling.

Curtis would turn around and would look at Luna before smiling at her. Curtis would scratch the back of his head for a moment. "Ya, Sorry." Curtis would look around. He would look back at Luna and would laugh softly. "Gotta make sure were going the right way heh." Curtis would look at the three dragons in the sky. He would go to the front of the ship and would look around. "Well.. Not too long I think."

Afew hours later Land would come into sight. It was a LARGE Island. Bigger then Berk by about four times. Curtis would walk over to Luna and would tap her shoulder. "Well were at an Island." He would point to the large island infront of them. "Alright I gotta steer the boat into the port." The port didn't look visable from here. Curtis would take the steering gear and would gently move the boat abit around the island. He would quickly make it go into the island. It would look like the boat was gonna crash into the island. But as it looked like it it land, the boat would keep going. It was a small river going through.

After about a minute of going down this river. It would open up to a large lake in the middle of the island. Around the ouside of the lake it would be littered with ports. "Heh. This island looks un-inhabited from the outside. But go through the dense vegitation. And you get this large city." Curtis would laugh abit as he would bring the boat into on of the docks and would throw the rope onto the dock. A dock worker would come over and would tie the rope to the dock.

Luna looked around the bay they had just entered. It was a giant port with lots of docks and ships. The port was bustling with people. There were lots of stone buildings. It was loud and very, very busy. The island itself was much larger than berk. Curtis steered them up to a dock and threw the rope to someone who seemed to be helping with the ships. Slity landed on the land, but snatcher and snip who were much more nervous, stayed close to lunas feet and didn't fly. Curtis jumped onto the dock and helped tie up the boat. Snip and snatcher hopped onto the dock. Luna walked over to the box on the back and took out her leather bag. She slipped it over her head and across her chest. She recognized Curtis' bag. "do you want this?" she asked holding it up. He nodded and she tossed it to him. Luna walked over to the edge of the boat and Curtis helped her out onto the dock, she almost slipped and fell into the water, but he caught her just in time. "thank you, Curtis ." she said smiling warmly at him. And with that, they began to walk towards the shore, where slity sat waiting for them.

Curtis would smile at Luna. He would throw his bag onto his back and would walk towards Slity. "Alright, Follow me into the forest." Curtis would look around and would see an small path near the docks going into the forest. He would walk towards it and would go into it. Luna would follow close behind him. After alittle bit of time they would arive at a small pond. Behind the pond was a large waterfall. "Well, This should do." Curtis put his stuff onto the ground.

Slity would perk his ears up at the water fall and would excitely jump into the pond. He would play around in there by himself. Curtis would look over and would laugh. "So what do you think of this place?" Curtis would look over at Luna and would await for a reply. Curtis would look beside his bag at a small group of herbs with a purple zig zag pattern down the middle of them. He would gently pick one and would go over to Luna handing it to her. "Bet you never seen this before" Curtis would laugh abit. He would look around the area smiling.

Luna would look around the small area. It was so pretty! The plants here were a little different than the ones back in berk. Curtis handed her a leaf. "no, I've never seen this before." she sad studying it further. She sniffed it, it smelled minty . She rubbed the ridges with her finger. "that's interesting." she said setting the leaf down on a rock. She laughed as slity swam in the pond. She smiled over a Curtis "you sure found a spirted one." she said to him. Snatcher and snip started to sniff around the area. Before long, they jumped in the water with slity. Luna laughed. She set her bag down and began to explore the area herself. There were a few herbs she recognized, but many of the plants were new to her. After she had explored the area a little, she found Curtis dOinh something in one of his record books. "what are you doing?" she said quietly, smiling at him. She straddled the log he was sitting on and lOoked over his shoulder at what he was doing and waited for him to respond. Some of her hair fell onto the page he was working on and she quickly moved it behind her ear so it wasn't in his way.

Curtis would look at Luna and would smile looking back at the book he was writing in. "Just mapping afew areas." Curtis would finish mapping the area and would stand up and would look at Luna. "So, What do you think?" Curtis would smile abit.

Slity would go under the water and would look to she where snip and snatcher were above the water. When he found them, He would put his head below them and would slowly rise up from out of the water and Snip would end up ontop of his head. Snatcher would of moved before he raised his head out of the water. Slity would make a laughing noise at the two.

Curtis would look over at Slity and would laugh. "Heh. Ya," Curtis would think for a moment. "I guess I got lucky with him" Curtis would look back over at Luna and would smile. The sky would start to get dark. It was starting to get late at the time. "Hmm, We should head off to sleep soon." Curtis would look at Luna and would laugh abit. Curtis would put his book away and would place his bag aside.

Curtis would look at Luna. "Give me a minute." Curtis would walk off into the forest to grab some stones and sticks. After a few minutes he would come back and would place the rocks in a circle, He would lay the sticks down and would take two rocks. He would start to hit them togather until he got the sticks to catch on fire. After he did, he would back up abit and would sit down laying against the large rock behind him.

Luna watched curtis walk into the forest and cOme back with a flint rock in his hand. He struck up I fire in the ring of rocks he had made. Luna added a few dead sticks she saw on the ground and some bark too. The flames started to get bigger until they had a good sized fire going. The flames crackled and snapped as they devoured the wood. The temperature started to drop and the dragons came out of the water and sat by the fire with Thier masters. The sun started to slip down and you could start to hear the dragons in the forest stirring probably doing a little night hunting. Once they heard a roar from one in the distance from one. She wondered what kinds of dragons roamed these woods. Luna went over to her bag and took out a blanket and salted meat. She walked over next to Curtis, who was leaning on slity and sat next to him. She put the blanket over Thier legs and her two dragons came and sat next to her. She handed some of her meat to Curtis. "here, you must be hungry." she said, putting Some in her mouth and giving some to her dragons. She looked up as the stars started to come out. And watched them twinkle to life above them.

Curtis would take some of the meat and would throw it into his mouth eating it. He would look over at Luna and would smile. "Thanks". It was pretty quiet out in the forest. Despite the fact of afew dragons every now and then. Curtis would look up at the stars, He knew afew of the constalations in the sky at this time. He would look around seeing if he could find one. "Look." Curtis would point to each star as if connecting the dots on a peice of paper. "What do you see when you look at that?" Curtis would look to his side and would take out his book on stars.

He would open it up to the pages. He would flip through and when he found the constalation they were looking at he would hand the book to her. In his book the star's would make a snake figure. It did the same in the sky. "Intersting eh?" Curtis would leave the book to Luna to look through.

Slity would look at one of the flamming peices of coal. He would pick it up and would shoot at it with his Ice breath. He would put it on Curtis' lap. The fire was encased in the Ice ball. He was suprised Slity knew how to do such a thing. He would hand it to Luna. "Seems like I have a VERY Intelegint Dragon too." Curtis would laugh abit rub Slity's head.

"yes, I know most of the constellations" she said, taking the book And flipping through it, looking at the stars he drew. She had never thought of mapping the stars, it was a clever idea. She looked at what he had written. It was cool. But she set it down when slity Did an ice shot into the fire and gave something to curtis. It was weird. It was fire inside of a chunck of ice. She looked at it with wide eyes and said "yes, he's very intelligent, but how did he DO that?" she looked at it gaping it was like nothing she had ever seen. He handed it to her. It felt strange, it was hot and cold at the same time, and the fire was burning, yet the ice wasn't melting " and talented" she added regarding slity and giving him a scratch. "huh, slity. How did you do this?" she said looking at him. She was suprised when he answer back in dragonese. She wished she could say something back, but she couldn't speak the language, just understand it. She gave him another scratch before saying to Curtis "what do I do with it?"

The star's would start to twinkle in the sky ever brighter. The bright lumenesint moon would poke its head up on the horizon. It wasn't viasble from here, But soon it would be visable. Curtis would look over at Luna and would smile. Well it's gonna last basically forever until broken in half. He would start to think in his head. He would look at Luna's eyes and would smile. "Keep it." Curtis would look at it for a moment. Even he was suprised that Slity was capable of that. It was nice looking though. So he let Luna keep it for her self. He looked around the darkly lit forest. The only light that was around the area was their of fire. The star's looked like they could of given light. But they couldn't do so.

A little bit after Curtis had let Luna keep the small Fire encased in ice object, Curtis would look around the sky. The moon would be overhead now. The forest floor would be lit up by the lumenesince of the moon light from the sky above. It was peacful. The noise of afew crickets every now and then. He would look over at Luna.
