Scratchet was starving. She hadn't found any decent amounts of food yet in this forest, save for a few birds that were slow enough to be caught. After what had happened in the Viking village, she wasn't so keen on attempting a food raid there. Her leg was almost fully healed, and the brace was slowly breaking apart due to the amount of activity of the dragon. She was able to run and jump, but she still had some limitations.
That was when she saw it - a wild boar. They were dangerous in their own right, she had heard of stories from her elders about how boar were able to break even the hardest of bones at a charge, and their tusks can impale the flesh.
Right now, it wasn't doing much and seemed oblivious to the Dragons presence not too far away. Scratchet hopped up a tree to a branch that could support her weight, and continued watching the potential prey. Unfortunately the trees here were a plenty, so it wasn't going to be an easy matter to just swoop down and lift it into the air. She needed to wait until it was in more open grounds and follow it.

"What the hell!" Cried Scratchet. She hadn't even noticed the human hunter stalking the same prey as her. Thor'damnit! That my catch!" She stomped her better foot on the branch irritably, which snapped it in two. Luckily her reflexes caught herself from falling and breaking any more legs, and by flapping her wings made her way to the forest floor, bringing down more pine needles with every wingbeat that brushed the surrounding trees.
She stomped up to that human, she was going to show who that catch belongs to. Just you wait, you're going to regret thi-... Oh. It's Noah. As she was approaching Noah, she quickly recognized him and stopped dead in her tracks. She rocked from one foot to the other, feeling quite silly for making such a ruckus now, even more so as Noah could understand dragonese quite well and must've heard her angry shouts.
"Erm... Hello Noah." She greeted with a tone as if she had done something wrong and was now going to get told off for it. "So you're hunting? I'd have thought that Night would've hunted for you." It didn't sound like it, but she was genuinely suprised that Noah hunted his own food by himself. There was definitely no sound nor sight of another dragon in the vicinity.

Scratchet also heard the rustling from above. Her voice must have carried far as Night descended to their position. She nodded curtly at Night. She assumed he was disappointed that her wild angry shouts was a hostile dragon, but turned out to be a false alarm. She let him be, not wanting to be on his bad side.
Scratchet beamed at the idea of hunting together. From the way it sounded it brought in a lot of food for all. "What a great idea!" She exclaimed. "Shall we get started then?" Scratchet was determined to make a competition out of it and try catch as much food as possible.

Scratchet knew the forest like the back of her wing. She knew where there was a good stock of food that the elder dragons had often hunted, making sure their population was sufficient for the pack of dragons they controlled. Although Scratchet had long since left the pack, it didn't mean they couldn't hunt there. And she was determined to beat them in how much catch they could get.
"I know where there is a large herd of wild cattle on the island. They often reside around the edge of the forest, where there is more room for them. It's really not that hard taking them down, and they have lots of meat on them." She beamed at what she knew. Only a dragon who lived in the forest since hatching would know what the forest conceals.
"Come on, I'll show you!" She took off, bursting through the upper canopy into the open air. It wouldn't take long to get there. "So how much food do you catch anyway, between both of you?

Unlike Scratchet, Nightrode seemed to fly almost effortlessly through the air. For now she ignored this fact - there were more important things at stake. She grunted at his answer.
"Ages. I've been here since I was an egg. I know this island pretty well. And its history. I'm still getting used to the Vikings being *somewhat* friendly with dragons. She recalled her recent misfortune concerning a stray club and angry mobs of Vikings. Flying in silence for a moment, she realised it was going to be harder to catch more than both him and Noah.
"I've got an idea," She started, letting in Nightrode on her plan. "How about we try and get more food than Noah can? It'd be fun with a little competition, right?"
She could soon see splodges of brown on the land: wild cattle. She began to make her descent in a large spiral, attempting at a loop the loop before 'stalling' at the highest point. "Urgh, I'll never get the hang of that! Nevermind." She continued descending.

Glad that Night was on her side in the competition, she swooped down. Slowly, the grazing cattle turned into a full out stampede. This meant nothing to the dragons, since they could fly much faster than they could run.
"Lets do this!" Scratchet cried out over the endless stomping of hooves and cries of cattle. Eyeing the potential prey before her, she spotted a large beefy one with lots of muscle on it. Swooping ever closer to the ground, with one large claw snatched the bull from the herd, snapping it's neck before it could struggle, and managed to hoist the carcass onto her back in mid-flight.
"Heh, I bet Noah's not going to find anything bigger than this in the woods!" She started to laugh. Hunting was definitely more fun with competition.

Scratchet plucked a calf out with her better foot. With a laugh, she rose once again to the skies. "I think this will definitely do then," She announced. "Shall we see how Noah is faring?"
She watched the purple dragon's flying skills. He was definitely adept at flying, unlike Scratchet who had to flap constantly to remain in the air. With a re-ajusting of the weight on her shoulders, she began to circle the hunting-grounds. She slowly veered towards the forest again, confident in her winnings.
"So... Night, how are we going to find Noah again?" She asked over the winds, watching over the ocean of green that seemed to stretch itself over most of the island.

Night couldn't carry much more than he had, so he just followed alongside Scratchet. "Mm... he'll find a way to signal me. Trust me." He landed a bit away from the rest of the caddie, placing his single on onto the ground to stretch his long body a bit. "Well, that was quite a spot of fun," he said with a bit of a smirk.

Scratchet followed Night to the ground, unloading her prey as well. She nodded proudly at their catch. For a human this sort of food would last months if prepared accordingly. The Nadder could probably wolf down the smaller calf in one sitting.
"Ahh, that was a good bit of hunting there, I must say. Most of the time I hunt by myself, and it sometimes gets boring, even more so when theres hardly anything walking around.
So now they just had to wait for Noah's signal, whatever may be. She pondered about it, whether it would be a burst of makeshift flame above the forest, or a deep blow of a horn... She would find out soon enough, anyway. She stretched her wings from that bout of exercise, and made sure the surrounding area is safe from other dragons or carrion-eaters.
"We don't want anyone stealing our competition now do we?"
