Hey, I'm just gonna post links to the things I've posted, and ask that people come by (if they wish) and tell me what they think. As a budding RP'er, I'd like to know what I'm doing right and wrong. In return, I'll critique your stuff, if I can.

Yeah, this is my first RP site. I do a lot of my own story writing, but I have little experience in writing with someone else, so this is a little new to me.

But thank you for the praise, I'm glad others can enjoy what I write.

I've only read your character application so far and I have to admit, you are a good writer...just one problem...that has to be one of the most overpowered characters I've ever seen xD. You made him into a character which would be awesome for a main character in a book....but not for an RP. Your character is damn near invincible physically and mentally when it comes to fighting other PCs. And, for lack of a better term, your character is too "special". He gets an unbelievably rare species of dragon and gets a unique version of that! You also leave too much mystery in your history. Your history isn't a book where you gradually reveal the mysteries of your past. It's a reference for other RPers to read to learn about your character to see if they would be a good RPing match for theirs. Your character profile is a reference and nothing more. The actual fun and story writing comes in the RP itself. The point of an RP is to start your story in the forum. Not create the character at the climax! You need to leave room to grow stronger.

Fon, as much as it is appreciated that you take interest in what others are doing with what characters, this thread, I believe, was designed for thread critiquing. Not character critiquing. Until a thread is created by someone for character critiques, please refrain from doing a character critique in a thread critique.

If you have an issue with someones character but dont see a character critique thread, PM them, if they see suitable to change, have them PM me.

And yes, I realize he put an application thread up for critiquing, but I think the main point of this thread was for an assessment of RP skills.
