Luna was walking slowly along the edged of the forest. She kept her eyes on the ground looking for herbs. The trees closer to the village like this tend to grow farther away from each other. Her two dragons she had left at home. She had made a point to stay close to the village after what had happened a couple weeks ago when she had met an old enemy, ghost. He was kind of out to get her at this Piont so she didn't ever want to be to far away from help. She saw some birds fly above her. She stopped for a moment and watched them for a moment before bringing her eyes back to the ground and walking on. It was hard to find herbs so close to the village- but there were some things she needed, so she contined to look. She stopped and looked under bushes and things just in case some happened to be growing there. She sighed as she got up from the crouching position after looking under a bush. Nothing. She stopped when she heard a sound of something approaching her. She tried to relax, ghost wasn't the only thing that liked in the forest, it could just be a curious young dragon who strayed away from home, or a raccoon or a deer. She turned around slowly and laughed at herself when she saw who it was.

Curtis was out for a walk in the forst with Slity. The day was nice and Curtis was glad he was back on his feet considering what happened a week or so before hand. He was going to be more cautious when walking in a raining canyon again. He would laugh to himself in his own head. Curtis would look over at Slity and would smile. "So, What are you thinking about Slity?" Slity would respond with afew short snorts, Curtis took it that he was thinking about what was around them right now. He was right, It's like he could read Slity forth and back. He would laugh to himself.
He would walk down a small ramp like hill going down to a lower part of the forest floor. He enjoyed the walks in the forest. He was looking forward to see the Snow in the forest. Too be honest, The next time it snows will be the first time Curtis see's a large amount of snow. Back at Red rock if it snowed it didn't stay very long. Probably afew hours after it fell then Poof, It was gone. Curtis would continue to walk and would notice Luna up ahead. "That girl is always out here Heh." Curtis would walk over to her and would tap her. "Hey Luna. What are you doing"

Luna smiled and laughed. "just out looking for herbs, as usuall." she said. She was very glad to see Curtis- she hadn't seen him since the incident with his leg. Her eyes dropped down to his leg. He was wearing a new pair of pants, since the last ones had gotten ruined in the process of the incident " so how's your leg doing so far?" Luna inquired. He answered her question. Luna saw slity step up to her and sniff her. She laughed, she didn't know why he had done that, she had known slity for awhile now. She gave slity a little scratch on his head and looked back over at Curtis. She noticed he had both his swords today, it was funny how he always carried the two of them around, but they had proved handy to keep around on a few occations. She wondered how you would manouver a sword. She never had before. She was particularly amazed at how he managed that big one, with one hand no less. She had difficulty simply lifting it- even with two hands on the hilt. She lOoked at them for a few moments before asking Curtis rather suddenly "do you think you could teach me how to use a sword? I don't know how." and looking at his face waiting for an answer.

Curtis would be suprised. Luna wanted to know how to use a sword? It was odd yet intersting to Curtis. He would smile and would walk up to her. "Alright, But youll have to use one of my swords. Your knife won't do." With that, Curtis would take off his Smaller lighter sword and would hand it to Luna. She would be able to lift this one easily, Rather then his other Heavier sword he was going to use. Curtis would walk backwards counting the paces he took, We he was swords length away from Luna he would put his sword up then down again. "Alright, This will be pretty simple. Hold the sword like this first." Curtis would hold the heavy sword with one hand infront of him. "Or, If you want, This way." Curtis would move his body and would grasp his hand around his other hand so both hands were on the Hilt.
Curtis would smile as Luna would get it correct after afew tries. He would nod his head abit. "Alright, Now. Put your sword out." Curtis would extend his sword out, He would wait for Luna to do so aswell. When She did the swords would be crossed in an X postion. "Alright now follow me." Curtis would slowly make movement with the sword towards Luna. It was Luna's job to learn how to defend the Pratice hits.

Luna laughed when he told her she couldn't use her knife. She took her bag off before He gently handed her his smaller sword and slowly showed her how to hold it. It felt really strange, she was so used to her knife. She held the long sword in her hand as Curtis took the large one. She looked down the blade of the sword. Curtis stood opposite her and instructed her on how he wanted her to put it. Now their swords were extended out in front of them and crossed at the blade. The sun glinted on the swords raised and crossed against each other. Curtis looked over at her and gave her slow instructions, giving her one step at a time. She followed his instructions just the way he showed her as best as she could. The sword felt really strange in her hands, so much longer that whatshe was used to. He stopped and corrected her stance, showing her how to place her legs and feet and where to hold her arms.Then He showed her a few basic blocks before trying her out on a few. The first on she didnt expect, she larger sword hit hers without her being ready knocking her off her balance and making her fall to the ground. She grunted when she landed and looked up at Curtis. "i think we need to work on that stance again." she said tilting her head up to see his face.

Curtis would walk over and would give a hand to Luna to help her up off the ground. "Agreed." Curtis would Get her up on her feet, Once she was up he would put Luna into the stance again. "Feet apart. Hands out, Back straight." He would gently push on Luna's chest pushing her back into the straighter postion. "Alright let's try this again," Curtis would walk back out in front of her and would retry again. He would swing the sword gently, Luna would block it. "Good." Curtis would swing around at a 180 Degree spin swinging the sword the the other side un expectinly. Luna would block the hit, Just barley though. Curtis would swing his body back from the 180 degree, "Not bad. Alright. Copy my stance."
Curtis would place one foot infront on him, He would move his over behind him almost as if he was kneeling down. His sword would be in a Defensive postion infront of him. Luna to do as he showed her. "Alright. Now, Back into the first stance." Once she was back into the first stance he would reply what he did before. He would swing the sword gently to the right side, Then he would spin again to the other side. Luna would block both. "Now second stance." Curtis would say quickly as he would bring the sword over his head. Luna would get into the postion in time and would JUST make the block. "Heh. Your not bad, Still needs alot of pratice though." He would continue on instructing her.

Luna watched Curtis spin around and swing his sword at her. She just made the block. It was almost overwhelming. She swung the sword back. She tried to keep her back strait and get her legs positioned corectly in the two stances he had shown her. She was barely making the blocks and Changing to the correct stances in time. This was like a dance almost- the two people in time with each other, the rhythm of the clanging. It was a strange way to think of it, but it was the first thing that came to her mind. She swung the sword a little harder this time and planted her feet in the ground. She gripped the hilt tightly and tried to make the next block in better time and more accurately. She switched stances, she would need to work on her transition, it was really sloppy compared to when Curtis did it and it took her a few seconds to recover fom it and be ready to block again. She took a step back as Curtis advanced on her. She knew Curtis had no intention of hurting her and that this was only practice, but in the last few swings he had become more serous and aggressive and his moves came more quickly. She jumped out of the way quickly. " woah, Curtis. It's my first time. Would you mind being a little easier on me?" he looked over at her and snapped out of it. She smiled at him and he looked over at her.she wondered what had just happened. He had probably just gotten a little too focused in on the practice session. He nodded as he readadjusted her posture again. he moved back opposite from her and they started from the top.

Curtis would laugh abit. He would think for a moment. "You should of seen when my mom started with me. No Mercy it was" Curtis would laugh as he made this comment. It was true. His mom said to him that the enemy won't give you any mercy, So you must fight back as strong as you can. He guessed that's what he was trying to show Luna. "Well, Ill lessen up. Alright, Time to put everything togather." Curtis would start from the begging and working his way through to the end. It was like a dance, You needed to know your steps and not get hit by accident. After they were done with the training Curtis would look over at Luna and would smile huffing and puffing abit. "Your a quick learner Luna." Curtis would laugh as he said this.

Luna defended herself against curtis' Aimed blows. She blocked it well most times. Her stances were getting better too. She held the sword just the way he had showed her and moved her feet in time, backing up when she needed to. She looked him in the eyes as they did this, useing his cues to prepare for the next block. She thought over what Curtis had said about his mother. She had never gotten along with either of her parents. She assumed by what he had said that his mother had taught him to fight. That was unusual, she had mostly been taught by her father, but he usually didn't feel like dealing with her. So she was mostly self taught which was why she was familiar with only one weapon, her knife. As Curtis aimed his last blow Luna stopped it confidently and they stopped with their swords crossed in front of Thier faces, looking into each other's eyes. They laughed and backed off of each other. She thanked him when he commended her on being a fast learner. She smiled over at him and took a deep breath, doing the sword rutines left her heart racing.

Would lightly take his sword back from Luna. "I think that will be good for today." Curtis would smile at Luna and would look around for a moment. He would look back at Luna and would have an idea. "Tell you what. Ill make you a Light weight, But strong Sword for yourself." Curtis would laugh abit as he put his swords back to his waists

Luna felt Curtis take his sword from her hands. She let go of it and he slid it back into the sheath on his waist. She sat back on a Rock and looked up at him. He stood there for a few moments, he looked like he was thinking about sOmething. She tilted her head and looked at him. He looked at her and said he would make her a sword. She grinned wide and responded. "I'd love that, curtis!" she stood up and said to him "thank you" . She walked a few paces away and grabbed her bag that she had dropped on the ground. She slung it over her head and set the strap on her left shoulder, setting the bag on her right hip. She walked back over to Curtis and smiled at him. " did you happen to see any marigold on the way here?" she asked. She glanced over at slity who had been watching them the whole time. He was watching the two quietly. She brought her attention back to Curtis and waited foe him to answer her question.

Slity would hear the word Marigold. He knew what that was. he would get up and would run behind him to a large bush. Curtis laughed abit "Guess he found somthing." Slity would run back with a large group of marigold in his mouth and would drop it on the ground infront of Luna.
Curtis would laugh abit. "Well, There ya go." Curtis would smile sratching Slity's head, Slity would make a slight purring noise. Curtis would grab the rest of his stuff and would look around. "Well, Ill get to work on that sword once im back in the town." Curtis would smile.

Luna laughed as slity pranced up with the herb Held lightly in his jaws. He dropped it at her feet and made a satisfied sound and cocked his head. Luna smiled " thank you slity, I've been looking for this all morning." she picked up the bundle of herbs and took a long peice of grass to tie it together with. She knotted the grass around the bundle and opened the flap on her bag to drop it in. "well, I should probably get going too, I need to set this out to dry." she smiled and said goodbye to him before turning around and heading back towards the village.
