It was a moonless night. Luna Was walking, as often the case she finding it hard to sleep. She was heading down to the beach, the waves were soothing and might help her sleep. As she stepped on to the beach she looked over the horizon which was barely viable on the moonless night. She looked up into the sky. The stars seemed brighter tonight for some reason, perhaps it Was that the mooN wasn't there to outshine them. She breathed in the salt air. She pulled her boots off and carried them with her as she walked alone down the dark sandy shore. Up ahead she saw another form appear. She wondered who it could be until she recognized it as curtis. She sighed, she wasn't sure if she wanted to see him right now or not, what with her unstable emotions due to the sleeplessness, she could burst out in tears at any moment. And there was something she needed to ask him and she had promised herself she would ask him next time she saw him. She almost turned around and went the other way, she sure didn't want him to see her in an uncontrollable state. But by this time he would have spotted her andshe couldn't turn back now, so she took a deep breath and advanced. In a few seconds they met in the middle. Luna tried to force a smile. " hi." she said.

Curtis wasn't able to sleep either tonight. He decided to get out of bed and throw on shirt before walking out the door very quietly. Slity and Silvia were fast asleep and Curtis didn't want to wake either of them. As he was walking through the forest he started to think about random stuff. Nothing too special, Or anything importent just the thoughts that would usally roam the opens fields of his mind. He looked around the forest before looking up at the sky when he came to an opening in the tree canopy. There wasn't the moon in the sky. Just the bright, Lumenesent stars that were always hiding behind it or being out shined by it. Curtis just contiunued to walk, No where in perticular just to walk. He looked infront of him and saw that beach.
Curtis walked over to the oceans edge and sat down before wiping his pant leg off. The small grains of sand flew off back onto the shore line, Curtis looked over and Saw what e\he belived was Luna. What was she doing out right now, Shouldn't she be in bed or somthing. Curtis started to think. He looked back at the water moving up to the shorelines, Curtis Heard Luna say Hi to him. He looked over at Luna and smiled. "Hey." Curtis looked down at the Ground. "What are you doing out here?"

Luna dropped her boots and looked at Curtis. " can't sleep." she said dryly trying to keep control. She sat down in the sand and looked over at him. She could just see him through the darkness. They sat in a rather awkward silence for the next few moments. Luna was trying to mull over how she was going to ask him this, she wasn't sure how he would react. She looked over the crashing waves and the dark sky unsure how to start. She finally looked over at Curtis and took a deep breath. She began to speak " Curtis...I need to ask you something." there was a silence as he waited for her to begin. Luna wrung her hands. " um, you really don't seem like yourself lately for some reason. You seem distant alot of the time." Luna moistened her lips with her tongue. " and I was just wondering if there was something going on that we needed to talk about." Luna gulped as she forced out her next words " or if there's someone else..." her voice trailed off into the night. She sat tensely rubbing her hands together as she waited for him to answer and forced the waves of tears not to come crashing down.

Curtis raised an eyebrow in the dark, Luna probably would be able to see him do so but he still did. He moved over beside Luna and placed his arm around her Lightly. "I don't think there's anything we need to talk about" Curtis was confused on what Luna ment when she ment Or if theres someone else. It clicked in his head. "Are you talking about if Im with someone else?" If that was what she ment Curtis continued on. "Why would you think of such a thing." Curtis was confused on why Luna thought that. How could she think that. He lightly placed his hand ontop of Luna. He was concerned right now, He just wanted to know why Luna was thinking about this.

And that was when Lunas eyes began to well with tears. She bit her lip, holding up the floodgates. She looked over at him with his arm wrapped around her and his hand from his other arm on her. He had a look of concern in his sincere blue eyes as he looked at her. Luna answered and the words came flooding out. " I don't know Curtis. You've just seemed different since you came back from red rock. Even after the first Time, there seemed to be a change in you. I didn't know if something had happened or if you had met someone while you were there because you just seemed so eager to go back the second time, and...and..." Luna stuttered a little. She opened her mouth slowly again. " I was afraid that...that you had, um well..." she was unable to finish that sentence, she was too afraid to. She wiped a few stray tears off her face and took a deep breath before looking at curtis and uttering her next words to him. " and...and I just love you so much, curtis!! I don't ever want to loose you!!" a few more tears trickled lazily from her eyes, sliding down her face before luna wiped them away with the back of her hand, smearing salty drops across her freckled face.

Curtis lightly rubbed Luna's arm and looked at Luna, He wiped afew tears off her face and closed his eyes for a minute before opening them again. "Luna.. I love you so much you don't even know." Curtis hugged Luna with his arm trying to calm her down. He didn't like seeing her cry, It wasn't somthing he wanted to see from her. "Alright.. Alright.." He would speak in a soft tone to her. Curtis could tell Luna was starting to calm down abit now. He looked at her with a gentle smile "You ok."

Luna listened to Curtis murmur softly to her attempting to keep her calm. She bit her lip and tried to keep the tears from coming, he seemed to get really upset when she cried. She breathed in deeply. She would not cry, she would not cry, she could not cry. It had been good to hear what Curtis had said earlier. That he loved her more than she knew. Still there was something different, some change in him lately, and not in a good way. She pulled her knees up to her chin and hugged her legs. She sat there like that for a few minutes after he asked if she was okay, she looked at the waves lapping on the shore and wiggled her toes in the sand. Then she let go of her legs and let them fall to the side. She looked at Curtis and finally answered " no Curtis, I'm not okay! What's wrong? There's got to be something! You're not yourself lately. What happened to the Curtis I first fell in love with?" Luna asked quietly. She paused for a moment. " what's wrong Curtis? Please tell me." for a moment he didnt speak. Then Luna lost all control. She started sobbing and crying. Tears ran quickly down het face and mournful noises wheezed from her lips. She put her face in her hands and gave in.

Curtis frowned abit when Luna started to cry again, He didn't want to see her like this. He wrapped both his arms around her and moved her hands away from her face. Curtis looked at Luna's face and used his sleeve to wipe off both of Luna's cheeks. "Ok.." Curtis gently said to her. He hugged her, "Your Alright." Curtis would think for a moment before awnsering Luna's question. "I just didn't want to be too... Hmm how would you say it." Curtis thought for a minute, "Pushy?" Curtis didn't know how to say it he just didn't want to push it with Luna basically. Curtis lightly Kissed Luna's cheek, "Please don't cry Luna." Curtis looked into her eyes.
The night was somewhat lit up, The star's grew bright in the sky. The moon was almost no match for the Star's when they were like this. It was quiet except for some dragons in the distance.

Luna closed her red, tearstained, bloodshot eyes. She was so embarrassed, she had never wanted Curtis to see her in am uncontrollable state, bursting out in tears for no apparent reason. It was strange to see and she knew it. She shook with the crying, it was like her whole being was fighting against it, but it just wouldn't stop. She opened her eyes and saw him looking into them. She could tell he was upset, he wanted her to stop, he had asked her to. No one had ever seen her like this. Ever. She had even managed to hide it from her parents, running out of the house whenever it overtook her. Luna moved towards Curtis. She climbed into his lap and allowed the tears to fall, that was the only way to make it stop- to let it run itself out until Luna coulnt contain it any longer and her body felt battered Like it had fought a thousand battles in one night and she was empty and hollowed out inside and there was nothing left to cry. When he didn't complain about her being on him she nestled close to him and leaned against his chest. She could hear his heart pounding, she wrapped one of her Arms around him and used the other one to wipe away the tears. She managed to subdue the wailing so now it was just a sad whimper uttered heartlessly from her lips. She reached a point where she could speak a few words through the sobs and she said to Curtis " I want to stop, Curtis...but you don't understand- I can't stop" and she clutched him tighter and attempted to continue drying her face with her sleeve, but it was too wet now to be of any use so she let them sit there as more continued to wash over them. Luna was absolutely misrable. Maybe it would have bee better to turn the other way and not confront this.

Curtis sighed abit before looking around the night sky, It was a cool night out. It didn't bother him but he didn't know if Luna was affected by how the weather was right now. Curtis lightly rubbed Luna's back and would look at her face wiping the tears away. She couldn't stop crying, Curtis was ok with that but he didn't want Luna to be like this all night just becuase she wouldn't be able to sleep or anything. Curtis looked down at the sandy beach head and would just stare at it for a minute thinking about somthing. Curtis looked back up at Luna. Curtis would lean over abit and would kiss Luna for a small amount of time.
((Ya know, Im running out of things to do to confort Luna xD Anyways Time length of the last part eh... 15ish seconds? what ever you want lol. Oh yea REPLIED ))

Luna felt Curtis take her and kiss her. She held him close to her when he did. She closed her teary, red eyes and for those moments And Any doubts or worries she had about him flew away. He hadn't done this in so long she had missed it so much, probably the only thing she could miss more was Curtis himself. He pulled away after a few moments and Luna opened her eyes and looked at him with a small smile beginning to shine though the storm of tears. she kept her one hand behind his back and put the other around his neck. She slowly touched her nose to his. " don't stop." she whispered just loud enough to hear. Then she brought her lips to his and it started again, only longer this time. She felt him hold her and she never wanted to leave. Ever. She held onto him tightly and her tears resided. She held his face on hers, not wanting him to leave but at the same time not forcing him to stay, but he did. And Luna wasn't going to stop until he did.

Curtis listened to Luna and smiled before she started to kiss him again, He could tell that she wasn't upset about anything anymore. She didn't seem upset and she seemed pretty happy now. He was happy that she was happy now and that when Luna left he knew she would get some rest. Curtis pulled away after just about a minute. He looked into Luna's eyes and smiled. "You ok now?" He said with a happy and concerned tone at the same time. Curtis lightly rub Luna's back again looking over towards the deep black colored water rushing up the shoreline and the receting back into the big ocean that was barley visable with the lack of light. It was only dimmly lit so depending on how you looked, you might be able to tell that it's the ocean that's there.
Curtis looked at Luna still awaiting a reply from her. He was hoping the despite she seemed like it, That Luna was truley ok now. He looked down at the bracelet on her wrist and smiled looking back up at her. He can remember when he had given that Bracelet to her. It was the same day when he go the gash in the back of his leg. He can also remember that it was pretty painful.

Curtis eventually ended it and Luna ran her fingers though his hair as she said "Curtis, I don't think I could ever be any better." she breathed slower now, no more tears, no more wailing, no more doubt, all replaced by this warm happy feeling she always got when something like this happened. She looked up into the sky. It was covered in trillions of bright sparking stars serenading the two lovers in silent song. It was beautiful. The stars, the beach, sleeplessness, Curtis they all seemed to run the same paths. She remembered the night they met pretty well she couldnt sleep so she was out walking and they had met by chance and ended up looking at the stars together. She remembered when she decided she loved him, they had been on the beach she remembered laying in the sand with him and feeling love for the first time. And now, all those things together, it was just perfect.Luna took her hand from behind his head and took his idle hand and squeezed it lightly before pressing their hands clutched together on her stomach close to her hip. That was where her branding mark was. That was another thing she loved about him, he didn't care about her heritage, that she was the hysterian leader's daughter. he didn't care about her silly fears, that she was terrified of heights. He didnt care about her other issues, that she couldn't sleep half the time and had incontrollable crying fits. He didn't judge her, he just loved her, unconditionally. No one had ever done that, even her own father judged her in that way, but not Curtis. Luna looked over at him and rubbed their hands on her and looked into his eyes. " I love you, Curtis." She murmured into his ear.
