Read and review please, maybe critique too.
My anger grew to be a problem. The small relation I had with my brothers strained. The older two always tested me but the third was a different story.
My paws took me to where he usually sat, out of the encampment and hidden within the denser part of the forest laid a small clearing with crystal clear water trickling from a spring out past the bushes. Sitting there, his russet coat shone from the beam of sunlight that broke through the tree tops.
Quietly steeping out of the thick brush behind him, I knew my raven colored coat shone blue from the slight light that landed upon my larger form. Walking toward him, I saw ears prick up, hearing the grass being crushed underneath my paws.
I sat beside his trembling form, keeping the silence that had laid its breath upon the clearing. Though the silence was golden, I knew he was crying. Shoulders shaking and barely there whimpers escaped his tightly closed maw. And I knew it was from us fighting again.
I didn’t much care for the other two as I did for him. He may have been older but he was, sadly as it is, Omega and couldn’t stand how three alphas, his brothers no less, were fighting. My lips pulled back to bear my teeth for only a few seconds before covering my sharp canines.
Oh how I wished to be human at this moment, all these moments. To hold and sooth him as humans sooth their young and each other. But we do not have that ability, humans are still weak as they need weapons to fight unlike us who have claws and fangs to fight.
Scooting closer, I laid my head upon his, a paw coming to rest upon one of his and my tail wrapping around his. Even though we are different ranks and I may leave soon, we are still brothers and I will do my best to keep him sane with the time I have left.
