The first thing is that you shouldn't feel stupid. We all tend to be more trusting when in love. Plus not many people would do something like that. Yes they may be dumb with a breakup, but very few will go that far. You had reason to not suspect anything like that. Second thing is to do your best to forget about him... I'm really sorry.
