(OOC: Just going to be Hermes here!)
Hermes preferred flying around mountainous regions rather than any other terrain. After a few days sailing over endless waters, the huge rocks almost seemed to beckon her. It was also a good time to try and find a cave to make temporary abode whilst her dragonologist friend made his studies. She could tell that Sven was going to take his time here.
Circling on an air current, she spotted a human out of place on top of one of the highest mountains. Curiosity got the better of her, and made her way over to the human stranded. Was that male human in distress? Did he climb up there himself?
She landed a short way from him, as not to appear threatening. She eyed the large sword on his back, wary of it. That was the last thing she wanted to happen to her. Bowing her head in submission to show she meant no harm, she awaited the human's response.

Hermes tensed a little as the human got up, aware of her location. As soon as the first words of dragonese spilled out, she relaxed immediately, her double crests rising back into their normal position. Knowing he was safe, she approached the human. As usual, they were a couple of heads shorter than herself, and he had dark hair and green eyes. She lowered her head to his eye-level. He was definitely interested in her.
"Yes, I'm new to these parts. We arrived a few hours ago." She cleared her throat, feeling the need to explain the 'we'. "I am travelling with a human-kind like yourself, and he is currently in the village down there." She motioned with her beak-like nose towards the tiny village in the distance.
She was still wary of the human, of sorts, but now she is used to Sven's presence she has begun to understand how humans act and react to certain things. Her curiosity was still being driven. A gust of wind rippled her loose feather-like scales.
"I'm curious to know how you got up here, this mountain seems too steep for a human to climb by himself... Do you need aid getting back down?"

Hermes cocked her head as the man appeared to be mumbling his options. As he turned round again, she nodded. So Nightrode was his dragon, like how Hermes was Sven's. I mean, a human or a dog or whatever could not exactly catch a human falling down a cliff, can they now?
"Hmm. She agreed completely with the human. Being alone with no living soul around for miles was bliss to this dragon, but without company things would get boring. She felt the wind stream across her face, and she regarded her surroundings, hoping to be some sort of mountainous shelter in sight. She'll probably have to do more scouting.
Realising that the human probably wants to be left along, she turned away. "I'll stop bothering you now then, I too understand what it's like to enjoy the harmony of peace and nature." She craned her head around. "My name's Hermes, by the way, if ever we cross our paths again."
