The dragon slightly moved his head after Noah had softly awakened him from his quick nap. His eyes opened, and he let out a large yawn. Standing up and afterwards stretching his serpent figure, he looked at Noah.
"A flight, eh? Hmm..." he thought for a moment. The brewing clouds weren't for his liking, but... it's just a few clouds.
"Alright. Hop on, little human warrior." he said in a slight sarcastic tone. But Noah should be used to it by now. It's just HIS way of showing affection.
Sitting down, he made it easier for Noah to climb on his back.

Letting out a sudden, beastly roar, the dragon ran, and quickly shot off into the air. His large fin on his tail opened up, allowing perfect control. He beat his powerful and large wings, and thus his heartrate increased, making it hearable to the rider that's closed in so much on his body.
The winds rippled strong against them, and Nightrode actually enjoyed the feeling. Noah being so close to him, gives him the mental strength to fly. before him, he didn't even know he COULD do that. It was thrilling, and by now, a happy experience to do.
Nightrode started his usual thing: A few slow barrel rolls, or beating hard with his wings to gain speed. He wasn't known for his speed, but... it was fast enough for him. Doing a few manouvers, he chuckled rather happy at Noah.
"Anywhere you want to go, hon-..." He stopped himself. Wrooooong word.
"...Anywhere you want to go, Noah?" He corrected, whilst coughing a little, making it look like as if he had a simple... mistake in his speech.

"As you wish." he said in a rather hissing tone, but only because his body was already readying itself.
He started beating his wings like mad. Not even close to a Gronckle, but still impressive for such wide wings. He precautiosly flew upwards, so he won't definatly get tired before the destination. In this height, a few birds passed them by, and Nightrode had to control his hunting instinct to not fly after them.
After gaining speed and height, he started gliding, which is effective with a lightweight like him. He barely loses height! But being THIS close to the clouds made the dragon slightly nervous. He looked left and right, as if danger is incoming. But it wasn't. It's just a few dang clouds.
Thanks to heavy gliding, they were able to reach the top of the cliff with still remaining energy. Nightrode landed a little roughly from the still remaining speed, having to claw himself into the ground to stop. He chuckled a little.
"Look at the view, Noah. Now that you don't need to hold on so tight, look down! It's quite impressive." he said in his masculine voice, pointing with his snout down.
They were high- REALLY high. The fields and forests they left seemed like as if they were a map instead an actual natural habitat.
Chuckling, but still wings burning from the flight, the dragon laid down, catching the last sunrays. For a coldblooded serpent like him, that's important.
"Just a few minutes." he said, whilst looking in a way like "Come on. Five minutes aren't bad, right?"

Opening his tired eyes, he didn't realize at first the danger. And then it snap in his head like... like...
... Like how an axe can snap a branch.
"A... A storm?" he said in disbelief. But as he looked up, the rain drops drizzled into his face. Mentioning a storm whilst is rains ever so slight... is... bad.
The dragon's eyes suddenly fill with something rarely seen: Fear. Standing up, he picked Noah up, planted him on his back and flew off the top, however tired. He doesn't want to be there when he witnesses the storm. No way. No how.
He beat his wings in agony, the winds and rain increasing immensly. Nightrode roared - this can't be true! Storms are just bad dreams.
"Where do we need to go, Noah?!" the dragon yelled, his voice growing somewhat desperate. In this case, anybody could still think that he was simply worrying of his partners wellbeing.
But in reality, the dragon was looking forward with slitted eyes. This can't happen.
Not anymore.

The cold wind, rain and exhaustion was slowly taking its toll on the coldblooded serpent. His flight because irregular and unbalanced, his legs and head starting to hang low, whilst still trying to sustain a flight.
"O-Okay, I'll go there... Hang on, alright?" he said in a voice, that he wasn't sure himself if they actually made it.
Huffing erraticly with his nose, the dragon beat his wings, even if mostly to sustain a durable tempature. His body cooled rapidly down in the rain, and slowly dared to numb him too far to fly.
It was only thanks to the dragon's willpower that they managed to reach the rocky overhang.
Falling tired and wet down, Nightrode didn't do a landing at all. He just fell into there, skidding a little over the ground. Lifting his head lightly, he looked at Noah who also got kicked off of his back.
"...Sorry... but... I'm too cold to do anything..." he replied. Standing weakly up, his wings flopped on the floor, the dragon coiled itself around Noah to give atleast HIM some protection from the harsh wind. The dragon shivered in cold, but mostly in fear.
"I really love this place, but the weather..." He scoffed, still trying to hide his fear. Why can't he just tell him? But by now it's gotten rather obvious. His ever slitted eyes looked out towards the storm. Gritting his teeth, his head went on the floor, and he started to whimper.

The dragon huffed loudly, and looked with a rather sad impression up at him. He could only hide so much, and by now, he had given up. His breath choked up, and tiny, pearlike tears formed in his eyes.
"I... I believe you... but...." his voice went rather high-pitched.
"I can't help it... these storms... they remind me when I was just a little wyrmling..." a single tear dropped down, and he coiled himself closer around Noah, shaking in fear.
To make matters worse, thunder started roaring through the land, making the dragon flinch harshly. The air cooled so severely down, that tiny hail shards formed. Not yet overrulling the rain, but as a single shard dropped into the cave...
... went Nightrode ballistic.
The dragon saw the shard, eyes immediatly slitted, and roared as if that shard was going to kill him! He moved his body away from it, whilst still holding Noah, and didn't stop being in this erratic state until it had fully molten.
Calming slightly down he dropped. He pushed his now wet-from-tears face into Noah's chest. He needs some comfort.

The dragon slowly calmed down under the influence of his partner, his tears ceasing to flow. he was still scared out of his mind, cold, and tired - but he was atleast there. That cheered him up a little.
His body slowly stopped shivering, and relaxed. The whimpering ceased, and the exhaustion was now demanding its price. He was physically and mentally done for. It was as if his eyes closed by themselves...
His whimpers were quickly replaced by regular, deep breaths. His eyes were closed, his body desperately trying to keep a normal temperature. But it's normal for serpents to fall asleep when it's cold, and wake up when it's warm.
He was sleeping, just like that, in Noah's arms, whilst the storm's blowing like mad.

Hearing Noah's voice, the dragon reacted by shifting its head a little. He felt numb, and still too cold to do any erratic movements. His eyes opened, waking slowly up. Exhaustion wasn't his problem anymore, but by now he needed something else - food. Flying, stress, and a cold night burned his last reserves.
For now though, he concentrated on Noah, who seemed to be okay. The weather seemed to have cleared up, making the dragon sigh in relief. Last night was pure terror - he had a nightmare about what happend and feeling the need to talk about, he tried to use the most simpliest of dragonese he could use. Because this wasn't going to be a two sentence thing.
"Noah..." he started, lifting himself up so that he sits, whilst sounding as thought he'd start a big speech.
"I'm glad to see you safe... I just... I just had a nightmare. Of back then. When I was small, running for my life. My father betraying us, the humans living there trying to kill me, and the BLIZZARD... " growing more then just a frown, he looked down.
"It all felt so real. As if I was there. Again. But... you were there too, swimming desperatly, trying to get me off that trunk, to safety... unfortunatly, the waves and blizzards got you. You... suddenly sank... and... didn't return..." Whimpering a little, he looked at his friend. Calming himself down, he continued:
"Well, luckly it was JUST a dream..." Growing more serious again, he huffed a little.

"Bah, you really shouldn't talk so swollen. It makes you look weak."
Placing a harsh answer to all of Noah's words, the dragon turned around, showing his back. He seemed more then just heartless and bi-polar in this situation, but he just didn't know what to do with so much affection at once.
A single tear dropped down. He was grateful, but had more then problems to show it.
"Come on, lets get a move on. I feel so hungry, I could eat an entire pack of sheep... in one piece!" he exclaimed. It made no real sense - but it was a measure of how hungry he was.
Sitting down, and allowing Noah to climb up, he looked back at him, with a smile.
"Put your clothes on too. I doubt most people want to see ya like that." chuckling in his deep voice, he grinned a little and pointed with his tail at the dried clothes.
