(OOC: This is going to be wayyyy back when Sven first arrived, and his saddle was kinda busted XD, if anyone can remember that far back)
Sven had a task in hand. Literally, in his arms was the leather remains of his saddle he used to ride around on Hermes. He could always bareback her, but then he would risk sitting on those devilishly sharp scales of hers.
Luna had mentioned that the blacksmith could probably fix this equipment, so he set out to find the building. It wasn't too hard to find the blacksmith's house - it was the only house in the entire village which was bellowing a column of dark smoke into the sky.
Once arrived, Sven dutifully rapped the door, hoping for an answer. He had his saddle draped over one arm like a waiter's cloth.
"Is anyone home?" Sven asked at the door, voice slightly elevated.
(Sorry it's short, no inspiration XD)

Kenna sat up the moment Fenrir got off her, she didn’t want to give him the chance of getting back on, she’d never get any work done today. She looked out the window to work out the time of day as she got into her normal work clothes. It hadn’t been day time for very long. She walked into her work area, and started up work on another sword. Mot much happened outside of her work until there was a knock on the front door. Kenna smiled, an outsider. Must be, everyone in the village knows the door isn’t locked and has that bell over the door so I know when someone comes in. “Is anyone home?” a guy’s voice called out. “It’s unlocked,” Kenna shouted, “I’ll be out front in a second.” She put her hammer down by the anvil and started to walk to the door into the front room where her new customer almost certainly was. As she grabbed the handle on the door she noticed it was more ajar than it normally was. She shook her head slightly and smiled. He’d already been greeted by Fens then. She opened the door into the shop like area that was the entrance hall of her house to see that Fenrir at the strangers feet. He was making noices. “Fens! Don’t be like that to him, he’s a customer.” Kenna looked at the blonde boy in front of her and smiled, “I’m Kenna, the local blacksmith here.”

Upon hearing the voice, Sven let himself in. A bell chimed above him, and almost instantly, a terrible terror sprung from behind the counter, making strange noises and stamping it's feet in a strange yet coordinated way.
"Hey there little guy!" Sven started in dragonese, crouching in attempts to converse with the dragon. Before he could say anything more, Kenna quickly followed suite of the dragon. Sven sprung to his feet like an elastic band.
"Hello. I'm Sven. I'm new here, and my dragon's saddle is quite worn out. I was told by another villager that you are the person I should see to fix this." He presented the saddle to her, placing it upon the counter. Whilst he allowed Kenna to examine the saddle, he bent down once more and tickled Fenrir under the chin. "That's a nice dragon you have here; what's his name?"

Kenna looked at the saddle and looked back at him, confused, “Who told you that? Actually, don’t tell me, I don’t need to know, and their probably a Terror owner like me. We can only guess who’s meant to fix these things. I’d always assumed the pesky things were fixed by the owners of them.” She paused for a moment, “Maybe the taylors do it...neh.” She smiled at Sven as he commented on Fens, “He’s called Fenrir.” Fens started making his message noises, “He likes you it seems, I think it’s because you’re tickling him in the right spot.” His next line made her pause. Kenna looked at Sven, “you know dragonese?” Once he’d agreed, Kenna smiled at his confusion, “I’ve been getting up a little phonetic language with Fens, he makes certain noices with mean certain things, so Grwclkclk means ‘can I help’, tapping the floor twice is ‘waiting’ and ssssssssss means ‘I’m going to have roasted rat’.” Fens protested, “That is a fair assertion to make after yesterday I think you’ll find.” Kenna looked down at the damaged and battered saddle, “You know what, I think I’ll take a crack at fixing it anyway, I have the materials and I have realtive understand on how to fix it. I've got other things i need to do, but I can get Aiden to do them.”

"Fenrir... That's a cool name!" Sven stood back up to respond to Kenna's question. "Yes, I speak dragonese... Your language between each other is quite interesting, as well. I'd have never thought that such a relation could be possible." He shrugged, laughing at the meaning of the cat-like hiss. "Well, apparently it is."
Sven smiled gratefully as Kenna accepted the task of fixing the saddle. For a moment, he thought he would have to seek aid elsewhere. Having nothing better to do than tickling Fenrir in his favourite spot, Sven felt quite useless right now.
"Is there anything I could do?" He asked. He wouldn't be suprised if Kenna denied it, or if he was deemed to weak to deal with any kinda of metalwork at all.

“Pwhh,” was the noise she made as Kenna thought. What could I ask him in payment? “I don’t think I have anything that I could ask for in return.”
She took another look at the saddle, he didn’t think it would take him too long to fix. She looked down at Fens, who was looking up expectantly. Why was he doing that?
“Come back tomorrow afternoon,” She said, looking back at the blonde boy, “I should probably have finished work on it by then.”
She turned to the door back into her work area, and then stopped.
“Actually,” she said, turning back, “there is something. How long will you be staying here for?” She smiled at the response, “well, before you go, would you mind teaching me some dragonese, just some basics at first. Then if you need anything else from me, the cost will be more advance language. I’m a good learner.”
After his reply they gave their good byes and she went back into her work area and walked over to her cupboards and pulled out some leatherwork supplies. She had to be competent in leather and wood work for making weapons and sheaths, so she had the abilities to fix it. She sat down at her work bench and saw Fens by her feet, with that same look of expectancy. “What do you want?”

Sven frowned slightly. He would have been interested in seeing a metalworker at work, and be helpful to the woman. As she made her way to her workroom with the saddle, Sven also turned to leave. He had barely even reached the door when Kenna called out to him. He look back once more with his emerald eyes.
"Well, I'm a dragonologist. So, seeing the huge varieties of dragons around here, I have a confident feeling I will be staying here for quite some time." Sven listened dutifully to Kenna's request, returning smile to the blacksmith.
"Sure, I'd be delighted to! Although I've never taken role as a teacher before; I think this will be quite fun!"" He rubbed the back of his head as he said this, unsure of his teaching skills. "I will see you tomorrow then."
The next day, Sven retold the tale to Hermes, his dragon. Hermes was of course interested - it was her who somehow managed to get Sven speaking dragonese in the first place. She decided she would come along with Sven to meet Kenna.
Walking down the main street, Hermes was quite nervous and stayed close to Sven's side. Her species preferred to stay elusive, not the center of attention. They quickly enough arrived at Kenna's abode, and knowing he could freely enter, he did just that. The doorframe was obviously too small for the horse-sized dragon, so she stayed outside reluctantly. There was no one at the counter yet, hammer strikes could be heard in the next room.
"Hello?" He called. "It's Sven!"
Upon seeing Kenna, he smiled. He then looked back to a window, where he could see Hermes' head peeking through. "My dragon had decided to come pay a visit too - her name is Hermes. She's an Ambassador dragon."
After the first encounter, the duo had been figuring out how to go about teaching the blacksmith how to speak dragonese. Since dragonese wasn't a written language, it was quite hard to actually write anything down.
