It was just supposed to be a trust exercise. A simple tact that would show Ghost that he could be trust Winter. As the large dragon lay sunbathing, he thought about those leather straps and how he’s seen them on dragons centuries ago. Winter knew he was larger than most dragons and he didn’t want to chance Ghost falling off. But where would he get the stuff and who would make them? The dragons wings quivered as he stretched in a very feline manner, sparks flying as sharp claws scrapped against stone. Plopping his hide to the rock, his hind leg twitched a few times before he was scratching by his horn like a cat. Red-violet eyes looked lazily down from where he sat at the top of the abandoned volcano. Crouching low and spreading his wings out, Winter jumped into a dive of the mountain. Wind rushed past as he fell, his wings barely open, just as he was a about a mile away from the bottom he splayed his wings out and turned up. Winter spun, dipped, and fell as he flew over the sea. Dodging the overhangs as he flew away from Dragon Mountain, heading toward where he hoped he could find Ghost. Words: 206 Muse: Trying to float away Notes: Best way to know if they are compatible. P.S. For some reason I keep thinking about Ghost falling and Winter having to catch him.

Winter was flying to where Ghost should have been, but his red-violet eyes couldn't find the black cloaked figure anywhere. Huffing in annoyance and slight fright, the large dragon wondered where his 'trainer' was when an agreement was made to practice flying and fighting in air.
He was about to give up when a loud noise echoed through his eardrums, causing him to stop suddenly. Flapping his wings lightly to stay in the sky, the noise finally processed to be screaming and not just any screaming, it was Ghost.
Barring his fangs, Winter let out a loud roar, uncaring if people heard it from miles away, before shooting to where the scream had sounded from. His wings flapped faster then before as he shot across the sky until finally he could see the black cloaked figure of Ghost falling head first to the raging water below.
Shooting into the air, Winter turned and dived strait down to Ghost, his wings tucked in and spinning at first to gain speed. For the first time, the Winter could remember, he let out a distressed cry as his talons stretched out to Ghost as the wind rushed past them both.
Words: 197 (Sorry if it's not 200 but I wanted to stop here) Muse: It came back for this one. Notes: OMG O3O I think I almost gave myself a frigging seizure while writing this. Now your turn to decide if Ghost falls to the raging sea below or if Winter catches him.

Winter’s body was shaking slightly as he laid his head upon Ghost’s back, thankful that the boy was still alive if not as shaken as he was. If dragons could cry, Winter would be doing so in relief. Rumbling softly in his throat, Winter hoped it would calm the boy down. He must really care for him if he's been doing it more often.
Sighing a bit, the large dragon moved his head away, and bending his neck, stared into Ghost’s eyes. The green orbs still held slight fright of what he had just experienced, and yet there was gratitude. Winter knew that there was a calmness within his own violet-red eyes along side relief.
At that moment Winter remembered what he wanted Ghost to know. So picking the human up and placing him at the bottom of his neck, large wings whipped out before jumping of the edge where they stood. Wind rushed past them as they fell, Winter enjoying the wind pulling at his folded in wings. And just before hitting the water, his wings flew out and they skimmed the water, a roar in the form of laughter escaping him as he spun straight up.

The rest of the flight was calm, Winter allowed himself to drift with the ocean breeze, feeling quite calm and relaxed. The sky was bathed in oranges, reds, and purples, as night started to rear its sleepy head. By the time they would make it to Berk it would be past nightfall and who knows what dangers laid there.
As much as Winter wasn't inclined to return to the place he fell captive, it was the only place that could build what he needed to keep Ghost from falling off. Especially if the flight got to rough like what he did back there. He wouldn't be surprised if Ghost fell asleep before they arrived at the Viking Village.
The sun set and the moon had risen by the time he reached land, the moons rays shining blue highlights over the darkened forests. Using his terrific night vision, Winter finally spotted what he was looking for. The Viking Village. Now to only hope they were awake and wouldn't attack him.
With that in mind, Winter swooped down.
