Cataract was walking through the forest talking to Eroy, not particularly interested in doing anything, just a nice walk in the woods. He was deeper in than most would carelessly venture, but he knew most of where he was. It was hard to get lost in the woods. If you walked far enough in one direction you'd find the beach eventually at the very worst. He was on an island after all. The worst it could ammount to was a very long walk, and that was assuming he lost his sense of direction.
"Well Eroy, not seeing any dragons to speak of. Excepting you and a few garden dragons... Want to sit down and take a lunch break"
"Sure, you have mushrooms in that bag today, don't you?" Eroy replied eagerly
Cataract laughed "How did you know?"
"The only time you ever hide food from me is when you have cooked mushrooms as a surprise"
"Well I'll have to change it up then won't I" Said Cataract, still laughing as he removed the food that Eroy valued so highly.
It was cold now, but that didn't matter, they were soft and juicy. Eroy ate two thirds of them before Cataract managed to get a few bites in. it was normally Cataract who ate more, but when it came to mushrooms Eroy would practically keep him from eating anything.

Beow was were he always was, his forest. He was with calypso. He was sitting on her back as she wandered around through the forest, presumably simply checking her territory they shared for intruders and such. She strolled along proudly, every once in a while stopping to sniff the air. It was a very nice day. Not too hot, not too cold, no rain, barely any clouds. It would be a glorious day for a good long fly later. The sun was clear and bright and golden. Beow reached down and patted calypso's neck. But fOr right now, she was very intent on doing this, so he rode on her tealy scaled back through the forest. He had his staff in his lap, as was usually the case, just for precaution. "where are we going, girl?" he asked her. All he got was a snort in reply as if to say 'as if it would make a difference to you' and she walked on. Beow let out a small laugh and smirked. Beow heard calypso's tails swish and her claw-studded feet as they padded over the grassy floor in the woods. For the next few minutes, the dragon walked along casually, still aware Amd alert but not so set on a goal as she had seemed to be before. But then her head went up and her brown eyes stared to their right. Her wings rustled in discontentment and she gave a quiet growl before running off in the direction she had been staring off into. Beow had to hold on tightly in order to stay on when she sprinted on foot at this swift pace. She kept up the pace until she skidded to a halt in front of a man and a dragon who seemed to be taking a rest and eating. Calyso growled and let her mouth hang open a few inches as she arched up her gargantuan wings to make her herself look larger and intimidate. Beow heard and felt what he knew was calypso making fire. "no! Calypso! There's a human and we don't even know their terms! he said sharply to her and rapped firmly on the side of her body with his staff. He didn't mind if calypso chased off other dragons from her territory, but when there was a human he tried to be more reasonable and rational.
"sorry" Beow said to the other human after calypso had calmed down, thankfully she had yielded to him. "she's just a bit touchy about trespassers..." he said. Calypso continued to stare accusatively at the other dragon. Beow gave her a good kick in the ribs with the heel of his bare foot, a reminder for his dragon to keep it in line, but she wasn't tamed so sometimes those things became hard. He would have gotten off and tried to rationalize and speak to the human, but getting off calypso would mean surrendering control to her, and she was still a little upset so he wasn't willing to do so yet. Calypso fidgeted and whipped her three tendriled tail back and forth. She had lowered her massive wings by now, but he could see them rustling around a bit in his perripheral vision. "calm down girl, I don't think there a threat" he said to her.

"Yeah, there is no threat!" Said Cataract quickly, first in English, then in Dragonese. "We'd be happy to leave the premisses if we are trespassing though. Or we could share our food... We're about out of mushrooms, but I do have some nice leafy greens if you want any..." Cataract continued, only in English now. Slightly oblivious to the anger of the dragon in front of him. Talking to the strange dragon, Eroy said edgily "I thought the only territory on this rock was the hooligans. What group do you people belong to?"
Cataract looked around. He hadn't realized before, but there was a sheer lack of footprints, human or dragon. He wondered what was going on here... Why did people need to scare off others so badly? Probably nothing, but Cataract had grown up listening to too many of the stories the vikings would tell sometimes. He caught himself, moving back to the assumption that there was another village nearby in the woods. Still though, he found the whole situation, for lack of a better word in his mind, odd.
OOC: Sorry, ridiculously short, I don't know what is up with me...

Beow kept that heel in her side. That other dragon had obviously said something to upset her because he heard a growl emit from her tooth-filled maw. "no, no- no need to leave. You're fine. I don't know what's gotten into her today, sorry." Beow said patting calypso's neck, indicating her to the man. He just stared blankly at the stranger over what he said next. Had he just offered him leaves and mushrooms? Beow ate that stuff sometimes but calypso typically stuck to meats and fish. He shook his head as he said "I don't think that's nessicary." in reply. The other dragon almost seemed to be challenging calypso. He sighed. He could tell his dragon really was trying to keep it together. Beow noticed the human had actaully spoken to his dragon. He had heard of people who could do such things. He didn't undertand it at all. There was a mystery about dragons, a gap that Beow almost believed shouldn't be bridged. It wasn't like they could speak their language. Perhaps he was the only one who thought this, but he strongly believed it. "what did you tell her?" he asked, an edge on his voice.
calypso snarled and the dragon. What kind of of a stupid question was that? "I am most certainly NOT with any said 'people group' the only human worth a red cent Is this one and the only one I would ever be associated with!" She stared at the striped dragon. She narrowed her eyes to the human, who strangely, could speak their language "and it's MY territory!" she snapped. She made a huff. She could tell Beow wanted her to calm down so fOr him she tried not to make too big a fuss over it. She glanced back at the boy on her back, waiting for instructions or a signal as to what she was allowed to do. He gave her a look that clearly said 'calm down and stay' she reluctantly yielded. Even though she kept shooting slightly feircesome looks at the newcomers, she stopped showing threatening signs.
Beow glanced at the man and his dragon who stood there. Finally calypso was calming. He still wasn't comfortable with dismounting, but now he felt like he could at least speak to them. "who are you and why are you out here so far? Beow asked curiously.

Well they seemed to be friendly enough thought Cataract. Yeah, they had refused the food he offered, but just about everyone else did too... he could never wrap his head around why, plain veggies were quite tasty once you got used to them. As Cataract listened to them speak he realized that he had made a miscalculation: the man was friendly, the dragon seemed a little on edge. Eroy was slightly offended by the harsh response to what he had viewed as an innocent question.
"I asked you a question, you don't have to get all up in arms about it."
"Listen to me," Cataract butted in quickly "I think you both started with a slightly offensive tone, nobody is to blame, but please, try to be friendly. Eroy, apologize to this nice dragon here."
"Sorry..." Eroy grumbled "But you have to apologize too!" He said to the other dragon.
Cataract put his head in his hands, and then he remembered the man.
"Sorry, I was sort of tied up trying to stop a fight, though I may have made things worse. What I said to your dragon was simply that we come in peace... Also I was trying to keep A battle from ensuing... Eroy is being a little agressive, my apologies. I'm not sure if I helped or made things worse..." Cataract thought for a moment "And in answer to your second question, we wander the forest all the time. Surprised we had never hit the territory of this lovely dragon here before."
