Unexpected Meeting

Curtis took the Pendant and looked at it. He looked over at Luna and smiled. "Heh. Thank you Luna" Slity would wake up and would perk his ears up at Curtis. He gave Curtis a "Can we go for a fly" Kind of look. Curtis would nod at Slity. "I don't see why not." He would look over at Luna, "Hmm. Luna? Want to go for a fly?" Curtis would raise his eyebrow at Luna awaiting for a response from Luna.

Luna's heart started to race when he asked her if she wanted to fly on his dragon.She had never flown before, she was afraid of heights, she couldnt, she couldn't fly. She looked at him as he waited for her to answer. She didn't want to say no, she had already said no once before and she kind of had a reason before, now she had no reason whatsoever to say no. If she said no now, he might be offended or question her further. She looked down in her lap and messed with her fingers for awile, then she looked up and saw him looking at her intently she stared in to his eyes, the deep sincerity in the blue ocean of his eyes for some reason made her feel like she could trust him. That she could do it, that she could fly. cautiously she said in a quiet shaky tone "yes." what had she just gotten herself into....

Curtis would smile and look at Slity. "Alright then, Come with me." Curtis would get up and would talk to the door. Slity would let Luna go before him and then he would make his way outside aswell. Curtis would look at Slity and would hop onto his back. He would offer his hand to Luna to Help her up onto Slity.

Once Luna was on Curtis would look down at Slity. "Alright" Curtis would look behind himself at Luna, "Hold on" Curtis would push Slity to make him take off. Slity would make a Slow asent into the sky. Afew moment's later they would be up above the Island. From this hieght you would be able to see the whole island easy.

Luna followed slity out the door, Curtis helped her on, no harness, no saddle, just them and the dragon. She started trembling as he mounted and took deep breaths, trying to calm herself. It wasn't working very well. The dragon took off, that was when the images of all the things that could go wrong flooded her mind. She puther arms around his waist and closed her eyes. The feeling was so strange, it felt like she had left her stomach on the ground and let her mind float up into the clouds. She felt them go higher, she took deep breaths and refused to open her eyes. She held on tightly with her legs, but it was hard on slighty's smooth scales. They contined to go up, how much farther could they go? She held his waist a bit more tightly and finally decided to open her eyes. Not a good idea, they were hundreds of feet above the ground. Her heart felt like it was about to jump out of her chest. She snapped her eyes shut, it was so windy up here she felt like she was going to fall of! There was nothing to hold on to exept Curtis, who she was trying not to hurt as it was. She tried to breathe slowly, but she was shaking and her heart rate was waaay up, so that was making it hard. She loosened her grip on Curtis a little and they continued to fly. But they were picking up speed quickly.

Curtis would feel Slity picking up speed. He would have him go downward slower towards the ground again. The fog seemed to have lifted from the island by this time. Curtis would look at the ground and then would make Slity Aim towards a stone area by the water on the West side of Berk. Curtis would lay his hand over top of Luna's "You can relax. Were going back down." Slity would start to near the Stone area and would slowly land. Curtis would have Luna let go. He would jump off and would help Luna down aswell. "Damn, You have a tight Grip you know that?" Curtis would look at Luna.

As they continued to go she became really scared, she buried her face in his back and held onto him hard, she even shed a few quiet tears. She felt like she was going to throw up. She tried not to dig her fingernails into his stomach to hard. She was trembling hard now. She held on as tightly as she possibly could. Her breathing only became faster when they started to descend, she knew Curtis was trying to be gentle about it but, it still felt like they were plummeting towards the earth, she opened her eyes a tiny bit and shut them again immediately. They were headed for rocks, no less. He told her it was going to be okay and put his hand on hers. She grabbed it and held it tight, trying to stop herself from Shaking so violently. He tryed to comfort her, but she could hardly hear with the wind howling past her ears.She could feel them getting closer the the ground now. That was a good thing. They landed violently on the large flat Slab of rock. She immediately slid off and knelt down on her knees and sunk down onto the ground. He Said something to Her about a tight grip as she was doing this.she put her face in her hands and began to cry.she was still shaking violently. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" she said between sobs.

Curtis would look at Luna suprised. He would gently Help her to her feet. "Luna.. What's wrong." Curtis would look at Luna's face and would wipe the tears off her face. Curtis would think in his head. God, What happened? Curtis waited for Luna to reply to him. He would still be going through it in his head until Luna responded.

Luna felt him come over and help her to her feet. Her gently moved her hands from her face and tried to wipe the tears off her face, but they just kept coming. He asked her quietly what was wrong. And in-between her sobs, she tried to tell him."I'm so sorry, I should have told you before." she tried to look him in the eyes, but it was hard with what a spectacle she was making of herself. She didn't say anything for a minute. But then it came flooding out "ive never flown before and I'm afraid of heights." she was so ashamed of herself, admitting one of her biggest secrets to someone she really respected. She tried to compose herself, but it became uncontrollable, she couldn't stop. She knew she would never beable to look Curtis in the eyes again.

Curtis would look at Luna. "Look. There's nothing to be embarresed about." Curtis would think for a second. "Everyone has their fears Luna. Being afraid of Hieghts.. Dosn't change much." Curtis would look at Slity then back at Luna. "Come on." Curtis would put his arms around Luna and would hug her trying to get her to stop sobbing. "It's Alright Luna.".

Luna listened to Curtis tell her that he was ok with her fear of heights. She held onto those words and hoped they were true. She felt him take her in his arms and hold her there. He mumbled comforting things to her. Her tears started to ebb. She leaned on him and eventually she stopped crying and put her arms around him. She came close to his ear and whispered quietly in it " I love you"

Curtis would listen and smile, and would pull his head back and would look at Luna. " I love you too.." Curtis would look at Luna in the eyes and would smile. Curtis was alittle suprised. Luna didn't really show that she liked him that much. Seemed pretty Normal, He would think again. Well I guess on the other hand. He would start to bable in his own mind. "Yea. Still sorry about that. Could of told me you know." Curtis would laugh abit as he looked at Luna.

When Curtis said that, she felt warm inside. She smiled at him and put her arms up around his neck. She stayed close to him, she felt safe in his arms. He apologized for the flying "ill live." she said to him. He laughed and looked her she looked back, there eyed locked and she drowned in the deep blue oceans of his eyes. She allowed the currents to sweep her away and become caught up in them. She had never wanted to admit it, but she loved this boy more than anything she had ever known.

Curtis smiled, He really didn't want this to end. But he had things to do for the day. He would look around for a moment then back to Luna. "Heh. I have to go for now Alright?" Curtis would smile at Luna and would take his hands off of Luna. Curtis would start to walk to Slity before he turned around. "Forgot somthing." He would walk back to Luna and would lightly kiss her on the cheek. "Cya Luna" Curtis would walk back to Slity and would get on before Taking off.

They stayed in the warm embrace for several more minutes before curtis looked at her and said he had to go. Her heart sank as he slowly let go. It really seemed like he didnt want to Leave. He smiled at her and she smiled back. He slowly turned and walked a few steps towards slity before stopping and turning back, saying he forgot something which seemed strange because they hadn't brought anything. Then he took one side of her face in his hand and cradled it before kissing her other cheeck. Her Heart raced and spirits soared and her eyes grew wide as he smiled widely at her and strode off and got on slity and flew off into the sky. She stood there gaping for a moment. She reached up and gently touched the cheeck that he had kissed before Walking off into the forest and heading home with a new spring in her step
