Unexpected Meeting

Luna was trudging through the forest On a rather muggy day. There was alot of fog and mist, because she was out pretty early in the morning. She was lOoking for Curtis, the boy she had met about 2 weeks ago by chance in the mountains, which was were she was headed to. She had left her dragons at home, because she had gotten such am early start they had been asleep when she woke up. She was headed into the mountains because When she had been here with him last, he had shown her where his house wAs. Now she was going to where they had been, so she could remember where he had pointed. Her stomach growled, she had forgotten to eat before she leg and had not brought anything with her. She kept going on until she finally reached the place where they had been. And it was too foggy to see anything. "well this was Complete waste of my morning!" Luna said to no one.She turned around and started to leave. Then she heard a rustling. She was on her own and very vulnerable. Lunas hand reached into her pack and took hold of her knife.

Curtis would look around the side of the mountain. The fog wasn't helping much. He decided to let Slity sleep in today. So he was alone. It was rare that Curtis would be without Slity outside. Curtis would take out his Rapier and would look around. He had heard something moving. He wasn't sure what.. But he wasn't going to stick around to see what it was. Curtis noticed that he was near the spot that Him and Luna met. He decided to make his way up the small mountain to the platform. The fog Lessened abit the higher he went.

Curtis would throw his rapier up onto the platform before climbing up on it. He would grab it again and would look around. He would walk around the small platform. He couldn't see anything even a foot in front of himself!

"who are you?" Luna said shakily- she hated close combat. She heard the scrape of a sword against rock. Luna poised herself, ready to fling the knife at anyone who came close to her. Now she wished she had brought her dragons with her, snip and snatcher were just babies, but they could still do some damage and offer Her some protection. Her hands trembled, she knew if the approached attacked she would be In real trouble. She knew that a sword would well win out over a knife. The person came closer. She gripped the knife firmly in her hand, ready to strike. She dropped her bag behind her so if she needed to, it wouldn't be in the way when she tried to throw at her target. She took a step forward and asked a again in a shaky voice "who are you?"

Curtis would step closer and would Grab Luna's hand Gently. "What are you doing up here Luna?" Curtis would look around at the dense fog. "It's Much to foggy to be out." Curtis would await for Luna to reply to his question. With his hand that has his sword in hand he would put the Rapier back onto his waist.

The Fog seemed like it was getting denser by the second. Curtis would look around the dense area. "We should head to my house. It's alot closer then here. And that also means less of a chance of getting hurt on the way back." Curtis would think. "So."

Luna flinched when the approacher grabbed the hand with her knife in it. She started to struggle before she recognized the voice. "Curtis?" she asked quietly. Then she saw his face through the fog. She relaxed and let out a shaky sigh. She was still trembling.she dropped her knife "I'm so sorry, I-I-I didnt know it was you" she stammered. She was so relieved it was someone she knew. "I was just out..." Luna started to say. He held on to her wrist as she crouched down to get her knife and slipped it in her bag. She stood back up and allowed him to lead her away. It seemed like they were going down the mountain. Her stomach continued to growl as they made slow progress through the thick fog. He continued to lead her through the trees until they were off the mountain. Luna could see her breath. It was strange for it to be this cold on a summer morning, but then again, it was almost fall. Luna almost tripped over something, but she caught herself before she fell "I don't think I've ever seen fog and mist this thick before" she said quietly.

Curtis would look around as he would guide Luna towards him home. "No, Never have I seen Fog this thick" Curtis would move his foot around for a second. He thought he felt somthing this way before. Curtis would look around and would see two Large Ice Pillars. Well They were at his home. Curtis let Go of Luna's wrist once they were in the clearing. The fog seemed to of disapperd from the clearing. The rest of the forest was still as foggy though.

The Clearing would only have two ways in and out. The front entrance Luna and Curtis just came through. Or flying upwards. All around the Home was flat clearing until it hit the forest. The forest was so dense around this clearing you couldn't walk through it. "Well. Were here." Curtis would open the door and would walk in looking at Slity playing with a small ball. "Hey Slity". Curtis would walk over to one of the bookcases and would put his books from his bag onto the shelfs. Curtis would look over at Luna. "Make yourself at home" He would walk over and sit down at the fire. "So what were you doing out there anyways? Never gave me a good awnser."

Luna walked in to the clearing where Curtis had led her. There was a small house and a fire pit. Slity was laying beside the fire with a ball. Curtis walked over and sat down next to the fire. Luna walKed over and sat Down. She pulled her pack over her head and off her shoulders and set it next to her. He asked her what she was doing out again. "well, I was actually looking for this place" she said.' It's so nice here' she thought. it's so far away from people and houses. The house was pretty rough looking, but also sturdy.it looked like it could hold up to anything. Lunas shivers started to ebb as the fire warmed and dried her damp clothing. Slity came over and nudged her. Luna laughed, "I don't have any treats this time." . Slity gave her a sad look. "that won't help!" Luna said. Curtis and Luna laughed.

Curtis would laugh abit. And would look at Luna "You were looking for this place?" Curtis would think for a second looking into the fire. "What Reason?" Curtis would look away from the blazing fire and at Luna's face. Curtis would listen to her response and would nod his head abit. Curtis would look at Slity, He was nudding his arm for him to pet him. Curtis would laugh abit and would start to Rub Slity's head, He would slowly lay down and would close his eyes purring abit.

Curtis would continue to rub Slity's head as he looked over at Luna, "so has anything new happen latley?"

Luna messed with her hands a little as she replied. "I don't know, I guess I just wanted to get out of the house..." her voice trailed off alittle and she Messed with the age of her vest That the fur was starting to come out Alittle. He was watching her, she let her hair fall in front of her face a bit before she pushed it back behind her ear. She stared into the flames studying the fire. "you know, the norm. It's been pretty slow though, I helped wild nadder that came into town to steal fish, and broke her ankle. I met someone new, Noah blackheart, do you know him? Luna looked at him and waited for a reply

Curtis would raise his eyebrow "Noah? Ya I've met him too" Curtis would laugh abit. "Intersting guy" Curtis would ay down on the floor looking at the celing. Curtis was somewhat bored and didn't know what to do right now. Anything would do really. He would look over at Luna slightly "Any Idea what to do?" Curtis would wait for Luna to respond to his question. "I Really don't know what to do. Kinda boring around here sometimes." Curtis would look over at Slity sleeping now on the ground again. "Hmm."

Luna Hugged her legs and put her chin on her knees. The advantage of having a small house was that it warmed quickly. The framework of tge house was made of wood and the walls of wood and stone. She looked up at tge roof into the rafters. As far as she could tell, there was only one room. Luna was warm and dry now, instead of being damp and cold. Curtis layed back on the floor. She lookd at him stretched out on the floor and thought about how laid back he always was, it was funny because in town, there wasnt really anyone who could just relax, they all always had something to do. Luna asked "can I see your sword? I've never seen the blacksmith make one quite like that."

Curtis would look at Luna and would nod his head abit "Ya Sure. One second." Curtis would get up and would talk over to the doorway and would take his sword by the blade. He would walk back over to Luna handing her the rapier. He would sit down next to Luna look at the sword with her. Curtis would think. "I made it with Steel and Iron, The Iron makes the blade pretty.. "Bold"." Curtis would stop for a moment before speaking again. "The steel makes it's Agile and easy to cut through stuff." Curtis Would stop for a second looking at the shine of the blade "I also mixed in Silver to make it look nicer. The Steel and Iron Proto-type I made didn't have that, Decrotive look to it. So i added the Silver and made it better looking and tougher." Curtis would stop and look at Luna.

Curtis's eye's would widen for a moment as he remebered somthing. He would gently take the rapier back and would walk over to the door placing it aside. He would walk over to a cupboard and would look through the stuff. He would take out four peices of metal, and what looked like a hilt. He would walk back to Luna. He would lay the peice's accordinly and it would make a large, Scimmitar like sword with a dragon design on the side of it. "I found this on one of the islands I came to before here. I found three of the metal peices, The hilt and the fourth peice were in a shop."

Luna watched him walk over to the door and Take his sword. She shifted and crossed her legs. He handed her the sword and he sat down with her and pointed things out to her about it. He told her what metals were in it and how he had made it. It was a beautiful peice of workmanship. It was perfectly balanced too and very sharp- something she wouldn't want To be up against in battle. She looked at it as he continued to speak about it. She nodded and listened to him. After awhile he took it back and put it in it's place. He went over to a cubbord and took out some peices of metal which appeared to be parts of a broken sword. He came back and set them out on the floor. He explained what parts they were and where he had found them. She picked a piece up and examined it, it had an intricate design of a dragon engraved on it. It was a little dirty but other than that, it was beautiful. She reached out behind her a grabbed her bag. She pulled out her own blade which she kept on her person at all times. From the far end of the tang to the point it was about 14 inches long. From the tang to the hilt it was about 4 inches and the blade was 10
Inches. It was made of 2 parts iron, 1 part silver. It was double edged. The hilt was decorated with dark black onyx. The tang was covered with a black leather grip. She handed it to Curtis for him to look at.

Curtis would take the knife and would look at it, Every detail seemed it was perfect. "One Second" Curtis would stand up with the knife and would turn around and move forward abit. He would swing the sword around abit testing the balance. He would turn around and sit back down next to Luna handing the knife back to her. "Hmm, It's Balanced for the most part. The Hilt is abit heavier then the blade it's self. But It's really nice looking." Curtis would look over at the Heavy long scimmatar like blade on the ground and would collect the peices. Togather the blade would be about 40-42 inches long. It was a Heavy, Long, Broad sword he had. Becuase Curtis knew how to handle Swords, And heavy objects. This wouldn't be much of a problem for him.

Curtis would put the sword away and would sit back down beside Luna. "Hmm." Curtis would think. "Anything else?" He would look at Luna.

"thank you" Luna said after he handed her her weapon back. She continued to look over the pieces Of what would be a big sword that were on the floor. Then he gathered them up and put them away. He asked if she had any other weapons as he sat down again. "no, this is really my only weapon......my father gave it to me...when I was younger" she said quietly her voice cracking a little. She turned her knife over in her hand a few times before turning and putting it back in her bag. Her stomach growled again as she rummaged through her bag until she found what she was looking for. It was a night fury scale she had whiddled into a smaller circle shape and the used white paint to paint designs on the front and had turned into a pendant. She handed it to Curtis and said " I made this to thank you for those seeds you gave me" she smiled as he took it.
