Luna had been out at the tents early this morning. Today the enemy was to strike. Luna was deathly terrified. It was hard to believe some of her worst nightmares had the potential of happening today. Luna wanted to go crawl in a hole and never come out again. She had been reluctant even to open her eyes when she awoke. She tries not to think about it too much- but that was hard. There was so much on her mind. Sven and a fee other assistants for healing were floating in and out of the airy tent, scratchet and Hermes were standing outside the tent, ready to help as well. The warriors had just started to assemble. Luna looked out over them, searching the crowds for a white fear and a rider. When she didnt see who she was hoping to catch a glance of, her heart sunk and she looked away.

Luna wasn't sure what to do, there were probably ways she could be productive right now, but she was too distracted too. She straightened everything on her table for what must have been the thousandth time. She tried not to let anxiety overtake her, but she was so stressed- it was an almost impossible feat.

There was a fire crackling in the center of the open tent, keeping the area warm. It had been heating the space since before Luna had been out here. There had been fires and torches dotting the entire field since dusk the night prior, lighting the place for those preparing. They did give ample light. The sun was Only just beginning to crest over the horizon now, so Luna puffed out the light from a candle on her table. She looked around, seeing helpers premixing various remedies and pastes. She turned back to the table. She gripped the edge of it and closed her eyes for a few moments trying to prepare herself for what was to come, but knowing doing such was practically impossiblE. She was upset she hadn't gotten to see Curtis- he was proabaly being organized down there with the other warriors by now. Luna bit her lip and clenched her eyes shut. Why did she feel so lost?

Luna's eyes snapped open when she heard a person approach her from behind, followed by a farmiliar voice. She turned around and for the first time that day, smiled. "what are you doing here?" she asked Curtis quietly.

Early in the morning, It still boggled in Curtis' mind on why the hystarians would want to attack Berk. What was the reason? They wanted land? They wanted what's on the islands? The fact that the people on Berk are friends with dragons made them go nuts and they just had to get rid of them? There was no real way to get an awnser unless you asked them yourself and that wasn't a very smart idea to do, unless you want to get captured that is. Curtis looked around his house. Silvia was curled up in a ball in the corner, was she scared of somthing or did she just feel like being there? just the fact that Berk has a chance of being taken by the hystarians was enough to make Curtis worry about things around him. This entire time he's just been working on trying to perfect that crossbow that he had started to made awhile ago, he finally did finish it and just in time. There wasn't really much time to make proper ammo for it but what he did make was normal arrows, but instead of a metal or stone tip it was ice. He had Slity just create a bunch of these and he just attaches them to the un finished arrows that would be there. The shots could definitely hurt someone but not go through them or anything like a metal tipped would do.

Curtis threw his stuff on, Both swords on his hips and he carried the crossbow in one hand and all the ammo in what looked like a quiver on his back. He knew it was kinda over doing it but you really do need to be ready for anything that comes after you. he kept Silvia at the house Becuase it wasn't a smart idea to bring her along on this one. Him and Slity left the house and went past the pillars. "Alright, Do it." Slity fired at the to pillars and went between them making it like a solid wall. Becuase the forest around the house was dense that was the only way in, so why no just shut it off for now.

Curtis and Slity started to make their way to the village to see what's going on right now. They made their way there and kept a look out incase their was hystarians out in the forests he saw nothing. They reached the village not long after, He looked around and headed for the tents. He scanned the area and saw someone familiar. It was Luna. He walked over and stood behind her, he held the crossbow by one hand and let the end rest on the ground. "Hey Luna."

When she turned around and asked what he was doing here he looked off towns the bottom of the island areas. "I'm here to help out of corse." Slity made a small noise behind him. "Sorry, Were here to help."

Luna let a small laugh escape her lips at his answer. "you silly! I know what your doing here, I mean why are you here I didn't think you were healing. Luna looked behind him and saw slity, she patted his head. Then she brought her gaze back to curtis. He had all kinds of weapons on him: his rapier, the big on he had found in 5 pieces and welded together, and the crossbow he had made, with some add-ons since the last time she had seen it. It looked really good.

Luna couldn't get over how much older he looked today. Almost like a different person- but not one she didn't know. She stared at him for a few more seconds before saying "well it sure doesn't look like youll be healing- looks like the opposite" she said. With all that weaponry he didn't look as much like the boy she knew who snuggled with her or comforted her when she was upset or hummed her to sleep when she was crying. He looked more like a man ready to fight. It didn't Change anything in her heart, it was just different to see him like this. It wasn't something she saw often.

Seeing him like that made her realized just how real this really was. Curtis was going out there, to fight and battle, risking his life. He could die. Her hands trembled and she bit her lip at such an idea. She looked up into his eyes quite simply searching them. She didn't know what for, but something. They were both silent for a few moments. Luna took in a shuddery breath- she couldnt fall apart- the day had just started, nothing had even happened yet.

Luna reached out in an almost cautious manner. He might not like this but she had to do it. She needed to hold on to him one time before he had to fight. She wrapped her arms around his midsection, embracing him. Luna looked up at him and whispers in a shaky voice "please be careful, Curtis. I...I...I don't know what id do if...." she couldn't bring herself to finish the sentence. She didn't let go of him, she didnt care if people saw them.

Curtis looked down at Luna and wrapped his arms around her and held her close to him ."I'll be ok. Luna, Just stay safe alright? That's all I ask of you to do for me." He lifts her head up abit and looks into her eyes, The silvery Metalic looking eyes looking at him "Just listen to met. Just stick back here and do your job and you'll be fine alright?" Curtis looked up at the sky for a moment,bit was clear and no sign of any inclement weather heading for them so that might help with the battle if your able to see well while fighting. Curtis turned his gaze back to Luna and gave her a comforting smile, "Don't worry. We have the dragons on our side." He leans towards her and gives her a quick kiss. "Just keep a calm mind and you'll be fine."

Slity looked around the area. He just sniffed the air and checked around the area. It looked like he was looking around for vantage points, Slity walked around and stretched himself out exactly like a cat would after waking up from a deep deep sleep. He made a few noises and looked back at Curtis And Luna again and took a seat on the ground looking at them waiting for Curtis.

Luna really hoped he was right- she wanted him to be okay. she knew he was capable of defending himself, that she didnt doubt. Just the whole idea scared her alot. the hysterians werent about to play fair of be easy- they were coming to kill. Just the idea of someone trying to kill him really upset her. she nodded when he asked her to stay safe. she sure would try. he gently titlted her chin up and their eyes met. he spoke and in reply luna uttered "i will, curtis. ill try." she gave him a sad smile.

Curtis let his lips touch hers and press against them for a moment. he told her to stay calm and reassured her. she nodded to him again. she prayed to the gods this would not be the end.

she saw slity start pacing. the dragon seemed to be indicating that it was time to depart. but luna was selfish and decided to keep Curtis for a few more minutes. she held him a little closer and asked " im so scared, curtis....are you?' she said it quietly, not really wanting people who were floating around to be able to listen to them talk, thsi was kind of a private moment. she stared into his hypnotizing blue eys as she waited for an answer.

Curtis looked over at Slity and noticed he was waiting to go and get into position somewhere on the hills. He turned his gaze back to Lunas face and smiled abit. "I'm scared to, but I'm sure everyone is. This isn't somthing that's very easy to go through. Even with all these people by your side." Curtis looked of towards where the hystarians would be camped out, "I'm sure they are even nervous about this. There's no one that Dosnt fear these things." Curtis looked back at Luna and rubbed her back gently calming her down. He truly was scared and nervous about this, he didn't want to show Luna due to the fact he didn't want her to become even more nervous or scared then she already was. He was good at that kind of thing of not showing what he truly feels at the moment, most of the time it's a good thing Becuase it helps people forget about something's or not think about a general topic or event going, to calm their nervous also.

Curtis shook his head abit, "Becuase I want forced to help out I'm not being positioned. So, I'm going to be midway down the hill so I can use this." He pats the crossbow abit and smiles. "Just stick up here and you'll be fine." Curtis gave her another comforting smile.

Luna stood and listened to what Curtis said to her. He was right- everyone must be scared. Because without fear, there could be no courage. Without a heathy measure of fear- there was no way to overcome it. And there was bound to be an ample supply of fear in a such a situation as this. There was an army awaiting them larger than their entire population combined- that was scary. Even to the most battle-hardend, fearsome, angry, imposing warrior- there was a certain amount of fright that came along with that. Luna was just as scared as any warrior on the front line, even more perhaps because down there was the people who tarrorized her in her childhood, caused her endless nights of insomnia, and a lifetime of sorrow. Thia was truly luna's nightmares come true.

Luna felt curtis begin to rhymacilly run his fingers over her back, massaging her gently. she loved when he did that- it calmed her and in general felt good. it felt good any time he touched her. luna smiled ever so lightly and closed her eyes. His light rubbing like this didnt take away her fear- not in the least. but it distracted her and that was good.

Curtis continued his caresses as he began to talk to her again. Luna opened her eyes when he spoke to her. she listened to his words.he told he where he was going. Luna became slightly alarmed at what he said next. "you...you arent staying with a group?! thats awefully dangerous curtis..." she said to him, not understanding why he would take such a risky move because he didnt want to be told where to fight. it made her nervous. he was so stubborn! it worried her- alot.

Luna looked up at him after he again told her to stay put and be safe for him. she fought back the tears as they threatened to burst their floodgates. "Curtis...i love you, im worried about you too, dont you see that? i just... i want you to be safe too but theres no way you can be in a battle. It makes me scared for you, Curtis"

"I know it's risky to not stay with a group, but there's also this. One, I'll be quite a ways always from any of the hystarians, and two, I'll have slity looking out for me." Curtis looked at Luna again hoping that she would understand that he is going to be a lot safer where he will be then where he would be in he was doing with the others. He didn't want her to be distracted by his safety, he knew that that would be a hazard when this whol thing starts.

Curtis listend to Luna speak again, he let out a sigh before h started to speak again. "Luna, I love you with all my heart and I do see your w orried about me. Do you think that I'm not deathly afraid of this whole thing too? It worries me Aswell that your even just back here helping out. Luna, I don't show you when I'm scared Becuase I hat to see what it dose for you." He leaned in a little closer and started to whisper to her, "I know these are the people you have been running from.. But trust me, no one around you will let to get taking off by them. These are your nightmare, face them." He stood up straight angina and looked at you waiting for a response.

Luna listened to curtis's words he spoke to her. She closed her eyes and furrowed her eyebrows as she bit her lip and nodded, facing down. She could feel his axious gaze on her. Luna willed herself not to cry. 'not now...' she begged to herself. She knew she was going to upset alot today- not need to start and end the day with it. Her hands turned into little fists, curtis' shirt got snappped up in them behind his back, puckering and wrinkling the portions of fabric. The girl looked up at him, but she could scarcley hold his gaze for half a second before tearing her eyes away from his.

she felt him lean closer to her and whisper to her. Lunas head hung as he spoke to her. At least he understood the source of her fright, but he couldnt begin to understand to extent of it. Her fingers tightened their grip as luna felt her nose tingle and her throat close up. She finally looked back up at curtis, a tear rolling down each of her freckled cheeks. she mustered a sentance "I cant, Curtis...i just...i just...can't Curtis...", her voice cracked. this time luna didnt take her eyes away from his- she looked right up into them. her big silver eyes twinkled with fear as she clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, making her best attempts at keeping control.

Curtis sighed abit, he knew that keeping Luna calm might be abit difficult. Especially with the fact that these were the people that could take her back to hysteria if they ended up either winning this battle or capturing her. That wouldn't be an easy task to do Becuase she would be all the way back here, and the chances of the hystarians taking controll of the island were unpredictable but they were on Berk soil so that would in the favor of the people of Berk. Curtis still knew that it was difficult for Luna to stay calm, he really did know this so he tried to keep her calm. "I know.." He looked into her silvery eyes. He could see the fear brewing in them. but he didn't know what he could do to get her to keep a calm mind. "Just listen to me.. We will be alright ok? I understand your under a lot of fear right now but you have to try and put that aside. It's the only way we will be able to get through this." He looked around at the other healers. "These people need you Luna, don't let that slip from your mind. Help them and you'll be alright, you have to trust me on this."

Curtis stopped talking and looked back at Luna, he allowed her to say anything that she wanted to say. Slity was being patient but even he knew they didn't have a lot of time to get into the right spot so they have an advantage. He just sat there and hoped it wasn't going to take too much longer then it already had.

Luna took deep breaths, trying to calm herself down. She knew it worried Curtis when she got upset like this, and she didn't want to stress him anymore, and she certainly didn't want to be any kind of distraction for him, especially when he was fighting. She wanted him to be focused on his maneuvers and the battle- not her. Not that she wanted him to completely forget her, he just wanted him focused.

"I know" he said. She wanted to yell back that he didn't, but he knew he was trying to keep her settled down- and his cool head was helping. The girl stared up at him while he spoke to her. She nodded slowly at his words- he was right. Luna breathed deeply and mumbled "look at me, I'm a mess." she let go of the cloth clenched in her fists and wiped the tears from under her eyes. Luna stood before him for a few more seconds before Slity started rustling about again, ready to go...and take Curtis with him. Luna took another breath and bit her lip and swallowed. "it's time for you to go now..." she said to him. If you listened to what she said one way, it sounded like a question. Listen another way and it sounded like a statement. "Let's go then." she said, pain in her voice. It felt like her Heart was in her throat and she was about to throw it up. She managed to hold herself together as she slid her hand into his and walked with him out of the tent.

Luna purposefully walked slowly to the place outside the tent where slity had trotted over to, reedy for Curtis to mount. There was more people outside of the covering where the healers were. They stopped before slity, and it look Luna a couple seconds to let go of his hand. When she finally did, he took a step away from her and towards his dragon. Luna's heart lept with dismay and she uttered the word "stop!". Luna stepped over in front of him quickly. "I love you!" she said urgently. Ignoring every other person around them and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and kissed him. Not for a long time, just 6 seconds or so. When she let him so looked up. She saw a pair younger kids who were helping around with healing stating at them with blank exprsessions on their faces. Honestly, Luna didn't care who had seen them. She looked up at Curtis, staring into the blue ambiance he had for eyes. "please be careful." she said in a hurting voice.

Curtis nodded and walked over to Slity. Slity let out a small noise ready to go. Curtis was about to get on when he heard Luna yell stop behind him. He turned around and Luna grabbed him and kissed him. After Luna pulled back curtis smiled at her, "I love you too." Curtis looked back at Slity and hooded at him. He gave Luna a quick hug and looked at her again, "I will. Stay safe." Curtis gave her a kiss on the cheek and walked back to Slity and got on his back. Slity flapped his wings afew times and took off flying hallway down the hill. Curtis looked towards the top of the hill. It wasn't going to be the last time luna and him met, they were going to both be fine through this.

HAHA OMG!!!!!!!! so I was just listening to my iPod and this ----->>> www.youtube.com/watch?v=lS9izbfRf18&feature=youtube_gdata_player song came on. I was listening to it and it took me about 30 secs but I was like... ZOMG IT'S OUR THREAD... So exuse my fangirling xD it just the song is SO perfect =,< it's uncanny. Lolz it was one of my fav songs before, but now I love it even mooooore!!!! so go listen to it already!!!!! ^__________^ peace out, dudes
