PERSONALITY: Despite his rather rough looks, Setsuna is actually a calm, and peace loving dragon. He's frantically curious about the "Human Race" and deliberately stalks some of them sometimes, just to figure how they live. As much as he'd love to be closer to one, or maybe talk, he's far too shy to actually do it. And then there are some Vikings which have weapons too... Nono. Watching from afar is good enough. Otherwise, Setsuna is pretty lazy and tends to do short sunbaths on heated stones. As peaceful as he is, he's not good to speak on other dragons. He grows aggressive, flaring his fins up, and enters combat faster then you'd expect. If he had grown a dragon friend, then he could live with it, and play peacefully with him/her.
He's also very helpful for Vikings which experience harsh storms on the sea. He'd push the boats back to shore, or bring the Vikings back on land, in case they lost their ship. It's just that all the time he helps, observes, or eats, he makes sure no one sees him. You'd be able to notice him if he does a freak accident or if the sun shines bright, because his scales on his back shine rainbowish when light strikes them.
Most of the time he enjoys being near the shore, especially on ports and beaches. He's also a little mischievous - if he sees a backpack on the port, behind a Viking, he'd snatch it up, look what's inside and throw it back to wards the owner. Wet and completely soaked, but he doesn't care.
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
He's got tough, outstanding scales on his belly legs, whilst the fine scales on his back are squeezed on his body, and soft. His shoulder has grown spikes which looks slightly like coral. It's also where the two large fins come from. His face is rather sharp, and he's got dark blue, small oval eyes. Two large horns extent from his head, including a middle horn which extends from the back of his face. His front claws looks surprisingly human. But his hind legs are in a Digi-grade shape, and the space between the claws themselves has a little fin to cover up. The underside of his body and maw are skin colored, whilst the other parts switch between a mixture of green and blue.
ABILITIES: Instead of the typical flame breath, Setsuna fires solid subzero Ice shards. If he prepares the shot in his mouth, he can form it like a spear. Although he can only accumulate ice like that if his body is not heated up. Otherwise, only sweet water escapes his mouth. The ice's color is translucent - it has no color. Including the water that he might spew.
Because of the lack of wings, he cannot fly, but instead use his wing-like-fins to travel in a high speed underwater. The large, soft fins which extract from his shoulders are able to angle him in the water any way he wants to. On land, although, they drop down, not being able to be effectively used. His large fin is leathery and like a dolphin - in order to accelerate, he needs to swing with his fin up and down.
HISTORY: Setsuna hatched from a lone egg, that gets left alone from the start. That's normal from the race. Starting his journey underwater, he's been traveling the seas, hunting small fishes underwater. At some point of his life, he had reached an island and out of pure curiosity, swam up a river to check it out. The plant life surprised him, the animal life amazed him. He loved the new life he discovered! But, his enthusiastic journey got rather roughly interrupted. A couple of Deadly Nadders didn't want the strange dragon to be around, so they assaulted him, causing him to flee in terror and wounds. Multiple other dragons noticed the fine line of blood in the water, and thanks to Setsuna's rapid speed, he looked more like a giant fish, then like a dragon. Hunted from the whole island, the dragon fled in absolute terror. He shunned dragons ever since then - he's not food, he's one of their kind!
Racing away, he changed course and went to wards the populated areas of Berk. Seeing the large port, the dragon felt a little more at ease. He hid behind rocks, and licked his wounds, until his curiosity spree of the Vikings began. He stayed his distance whilst watching them, most because of the experience with the dragons, and watched their everyday lives, without them noticing. Over time, he started rescuing the "poor anti-water-compatible" creatures if their boat broke, and thus quickly the rumor came around, that a beautiful mermaid rescues sailors on sea. What a joke. But the dragon continued his story...
Maybe at some point, someone would actually notice him?

OOC NAME TO CALL YOU BY: Setsuna.
YEARS OF RP EXPERIENCE: 1.
RP EXAMPLE OF THE CHARACTER YOU'RE APPLYING FOR:
Clouds started stirring the port of Berk. The boats waved as the storm brewed, the sky ever darkening. Winds clashed mercilessly against the wooden planks. All Vikings on port made sure their boats were secure, readied themselves to return home.
All, but one single curious dragon.
Seeing the storm brewing, and still a ship missing, Setsuna dove under. Whoever was out there would be having a hard time now. And he was going to be sure, that he'd be home, safe and sound, with his children and wife. As he raced forward, bubbles formed behind his large fin, and the creature swam at a speed to be envied.
By now the storm had full started. Lightning struck, the winds clashed, and the waves of the ocean towered even the tallest buildings with ease. And it was as Setsuna suspected: A single large Viking boat was still out there, battling with the waves. But it seems to have lost its battle faster then expected. The ship tipped over, multiple Vikings lost their footing and some got encased inside. Ragged screams of agony reached the dragons fin-like ears, which spurred him to hurry up. The beast grabbed two of the Vikings with his human claws and threw them on his back. He continued doing so, until his entire back was full of half-conscious Vikings. He refused to wait for them to wake up and get a stable hold, as he didn't want to get seen. Swimming away, he had to leave everyone else behind...
The sea calmed gradually after wards, as if nature was playing a joke. The dragon calmly swam up to the nearby beach near the docks, and let the Vikings down. One of them woke up, and the last thing he saw, was a large fin disappearing into the water.
" By me Beard hair! Mermaid! Wait! " the Viking yelled, but the 'Mermaid' faded into the endless seas it once came.
Setsuna smiled. At least a few people saved from the ocean's harsh wrath.

AGE: 120.
GENDER: Male.
STANDING: Wild.
BREED: Rainbowscale. A beautiful type of dragon that helps lost sailors to get back to shore. Very social, but shy. Rare.
LIKES:
- Swimming. Setsuna enjoys the water brushing up against him, especially when it's warm. He doesn't mind the warmth, when he's inside a body of water.
- Hunting. He's not very good at it, but only because he plays with his prey! Like a cat, he tends to almost never deliver the finishing blow.
- Darkness. His natural place to hide. Deep in the waters, he's sure to be safe from enemies.
- Rain. Heavy rain allows this dragon to stay on land, without having to go back. It allows him to explore places he's never seen before.
- Storms. A powerful storm means sailors in need - and he loves to help! Every time there's a storm, he goes out a sea, helping poor victims.
- Vikings. Weird creatures. Interesting creatures with culture and intelligence. He's curious and wants to know everything about them.
- Fish. Is there anything better then fish for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Considering he's a water dragon, fish is his primary food. But he also enjoys crabs, seaweed and alike.
- Beaches. The water cold, the beach sand hot. Even though he's a water dragon, he enjoys to bath himself in the light and warmth of the sun. He does need to return to the water often that way, but it also delivers a beautiful sight, as the rainbow scales shine bright.
- Rainy forests. A cold humid environment is perfect for him. This way, he can even get real near to wards Outsiders which got lost in the forest. A pure thrill.
DISLIKES:
- Strong sunlight. Sunbathing or not, if the sun goes too hard, then he despises it. It hurts his skin that way.
- Dragons. Goodness no. He can't stand dragons. He thinks they only want harm, considering they're usually stronger then him. And larger. For a water dragon, he IS pretty small, after all.
- Mountains Thin air, no water, no place for him to be.
- Fire. His maybe worst enemy. It dries his skin immediately off, and destroys his fine scales and skin.
- Swords and Weapons alike. Simple to understand right? They're only harmful, and somebody as peaceful as him, thinks that they're useless.
- Smart-mouths. He hates to be told better. Or told that he should stop being so lazy. He goes his own way, whenever anybody cares or not!
STRENGTHS:
- Swimming. As a water dragon, swimming is his specialty. No one can beat him on a one on one race.
- Diving. He can dive quite deep, deep enough that the darkness overrules the light.
- Agility. He can wind himself in any way underwater, and even on land he sustains that agility. But if his skin gets dry, he becomes more lazy.
- "Using his head". He's more intelligent then most dragons... but sometimes he doesn't use that. Breaking with his head straight through object is a way too! Depends on his mood.
- Survival. He knows where to get edible food without hunting. So he knows how to survive.
- Carefree. No matter what the situation, he takes it easy. Lazy, carefree, he sure is that way.
WEAKNESSES:
- Being on land. Any other dragon type has an advantage on land over him.
- (Mostly) Defenseless.
- Sharp Weapons. Because he has such fine scales on his back, they're easily sliced through with a sword. Otherwise though, his scales are pretty large and tough.
- Shy. Being the way he is, he becomes a loner quick, and thus easily beaten. Also his shyness gives the impression, that he'll always be in the victim role.
- Bad Battling. As peaceful as he is, he barely has any experience in battling. He's still dangerous because of his size and weight - but he wouldn't know any useful skill.
FEARS:
- Dehydration. He needs water, around him and at all times. (Mentally.) If he doesn't know any quick spot to dip in, he gets all frantic, even though he can survive some time without it.
- Sudden Assaults. Even if carefree, Setsuna DOES have his paranoid moments. They occur every time he sees a big shadow on the water surface. I mean, it COULD be a large sky dragon wanting a snack, right?
- Other Dragons. They're lethal. They only want him as a large fish. He's afraid of any dragon larger then him.
- Being one day left alone. He's afraid of the thought that the Vikings would one day switch places, and go away from the ocean. he doesn't know their stubbornness issues, so he gets a bit frantic if he doesn't see a single Viking in their large village. (Not at night though, he knows they need sleep.)
- Vikings. Strange, right? The creatures he adores so, he also fears them. They have the weapons, will, and intelligence to murder any dragon they'd want. Where ever they want. Whenever they want. So it's a mix between adoration and fear.
