PERSONALITY: To sum it up, Kaldin is very kind and gentle. She seems to be able to find good in everything with ease. She is usually very chipper and good company, as she loves to exchange conversation, once someone would get to know her, that is.
At first glance, she may appear shy and withdrawn, jumping at every twig that snaps, every splash in the water. But once Kaldin makes a friend, it's nearly impossible to stop the river of words flowing from her mouth.
Some of the dragons around her would say that Kaldin is a bit strange, as she seems to get lost in her own mind on a regular basis. She lets her imagination run wild, always thinking up new ideas and stories. Even so, with her kind and loving personality, she makes friends easily, and keeps them all close to her.
OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Kaldin is just about the size of a small horse. Her face is long, and her upper jaw is pointed and beak-like in appearance. She has surprisingly large claws, though the only thing she usually would use them for is digging or fishing. Her tail is long, with spikes running from her head to the tip of it. Her wings are quite large, for her size.
As a Mood Dragon, Kaldin's eyes and scales are constantly changing in color. Though, normally, they range from a bright green to orange.
ABILITIES: Kaldin's fire, like her scales, change in color according to her mood. As for flight, she is able to stay in the air for extended periods of time.
HISTORY: For the most part, Kaldin has kept away from vikings her whole life. She lived in the mountains with her parents for quite a bit of her life, longer than most dragons would. When she finally left, she turned up her nose at any kind of meat, in pity of the animals she would be hunting. Instead, she turned to plants and fish. She taught herself how to fish well, though could never quite master swimming.
At one point, a few years after finding her small cave near the village, Kaldin was caught unaware by a young viking. When she looks back on it, she realizes that he was most likely just curious, and not attempting to hurt her in any way, but at the time she was absolutely terrified. She backed into the deepest part of her cave, which wasn't very deep, and growled as fiercely as possible until the viking left. At one point, she lashed out at him, but he dodged the blow and then decided to head back to the village.
FRIENDS, OTHER FAMILY: Just her parents, though Kaldin lives alone. As for friends, she would like to make some, but is too shy and timid to try.
KEYWORD IN RULES: Toothless
OOC NAME TO CALL YOU BY: Fallen
YEARS OF RP EXPERIENCE: 3-4
RP EXAMPLE OF THE CHARACTER YOU'RE APPLYING FOR: The water trickled through the rocks slowly as Kaldin stood above them. She had attempted to block the stream in hopes that fish would get stuck in her makeshift pool, though it hadn't worked yet. At all. Any that had come managed to make it over her tiny dam before she could spear them with her claws.
Kaldin looked up as the leaves rustled gently above her, and she let out a content sigh. The breeze was nice, and only slightly cool. Exactly how she enjoyed the weather most. She had given up fishing, for the moment, at least, and began to wander through the wooded area, in search of something edible.
Ducking under some leaves, Kaldin jumped as they brushed her back. After a couple slightly panicked moments, she let out a long, shaky sigh, and continued. Why am I always startled so easily...? She complained to herself.
Puffing out her chest, Kaldin gave a pleased trill. "If I can't be brave, I'll just have to act like I am!" At that moment, a bird flew over her, which sent a chill over Kaldin's scales. She let out a surprised squeak, falling down to the ground and covering her tail with her eyes.
