DATE & TIME : (still not sure what day it is) Late morning WEATHER CONDITIONS : cloudy... CHARACTERS INVOLVED : Luna. Ari. (Curtis?) + HAROLD + KENNA PREVIOUS THREADS ? Finally acquainted
Luna stared blankly up at the ceiling. Things hadn't gotten any better for her since the end of the war. After falling asleep in Curtis' lap, she had halfway awoken several hours later here, in Ari's house. She didnt know how long it had been since the war, a few days probably. She hadn't fully awoken since just after the battle. She wasn't feeling much better at all, in any aspects. Despite the cloth dressing wrapped around her to guard her major wound and the clothes she was wearing, laying on her back was still extremely painful, as it put pressure on the slowly healing gash. It almost felt strange to be fully awake. Honestly, She felt inferior now that her secret was out. She took a deep breath and cringed as the bruise on her ribs was jarred in the process. Most movement hurt, so she avoided it. But there wasn't much reason to anyhow.
The healer's home was stuffy and seemed too quiet. Despite that she had only just woken up, she was already lonely. As far as she knew, No one had bothered to visit her except Ari.
She looked round the room. She saw another injured patient. Her heart raced as she recognized the man as a Hysterian. She tore her nervous gaze from him, but noticed he continued to stare strangely at her. It made her rather uncomfortable. He seemed to have some kind of jaw injury. The whole situation was unnerving. She stared at the ceiling again and tried to forget about it, which was nearly impossible with his eyes trained on her like that.
Ari hadn't come to check on her yet this morning, he most likely assumed she was still sleeping since she hadn't made it known that she had awoken. She wasn't ready to be moved around and have her wounds redressed, and though inevitable, she didn't want to have to answer any questions Ari might have about the new information he had about her and was yet to speak about to her.
So Luna lay in the awkward staring silence and waited for the healer.

Ari yawned as he came into his house; he’d just got back from his rounds round the houses of the injured. He couldn’t wait for them to either get better or die so that things could get back to normal. He was glad Kenna was no longer staying with Pickle, who had been his last stop. While he’d approve if they were to be a couple, they weren’t thinking anything like that.
He decided to look into the spares room where the two remaining non-housed people were staying. Luna and the Hysterian. The Hysterian was wrong; there were quite a few Hysterians that had been left behind by the ships. This one had been one of the ones that had burned down Luna’s house and the only one of them left. While he knew how two died and suspected how the other two died (they’d found the bodies in the forest) he’d used Kenna’s description of Zilyr meant that he could just make everyone think they were all killed by an unknown outsider who wanted the help but none of the credit.
Anyway, they were looking after the Hysterians that were trapped on the island with them to give them back when the Hysterians cam to claim them. It comes from an agreement between the two islands that they should look after the ones that fall behind, because if Berk didn’t keep to the agreement, Hysteria wouldn’t either.
So this Viking was staying here for now. When Ari looked at Luna he realised she was awake, properly awake. “Good morning there Luna,” he said, “you’ve been out of it for four days now.” He went over and felt her head, “your temperature’s down. You got some infection from your scratches, but you’ve pulled through it seems, everyone’s been worried about you, you know.”
It was time to change her bandages. As he changed it, he showed her a sheet of paper which had a message on it so he could tell her things without the Hysterian hearing or seeing (they had their backs to him so he didn’t know this was happening.
‘None of the Hysterians recognise you, and no one else has made the connection. I haven’t talked to anyone about it apart from Asther, Curtis and Sven, and the last one only to make sure he doesn’t mention your mark to anyone. None of us are going to tell anyone anything unless you want anyone else to know. We all want to help you. You only have to ask.’
Once he’d finished changing the bandages he waited for the note to be returned, and then he started to walk out, “I’ll be outside if you need anything.”

Kenna sighed with relief as she finally got to her uncle’s house. She’d gotten distracted and had finally gotten to Ari’s house hours after she left. After the 20 minute delay caused by Scratchet, she was further slowed by random conversations with people as she walked along the street. Then she decided to pop into Pickle’s house, where the man himself was being an idiot in trying to do things, so Kenna ended up staying at his for the morning hours.
And finally she’d gotten to her original destination. She felt Fenrir at her feet; he’d gone off while she was at Pickle’s house (Kenna knew Fenrir and Pickles didn’t mix). She opened the door and claimed her entrance. She heard her aunt and uncle reply in one room. After going in and saying hi to them, she walked into spare room. She was half surprised by the fact that only two people were left in Ari’s direct care.
When she looked at the two she understood why they were still there. With Luna’s house gone she had to stay at his. “Good morning sleepy,” Kenna said, walking up to Luna’s bed, “How are you?”
As Luna answered, Fenrir climbed up onto the bed and looked at Luna. “Where’s Snip?”[/b] Fenrir impertinently asked half way through what Luna was saying.
“Fenrir!” Kenna shouted at her Terror, “I think you should go do something else. Why don’t you…”[/b][/i] She then had a thought, “Luna, does Curtis know you’re awake?”
(OOC: remember, Luna won’t know that Kenna tried to save her house, though she will defnatly go “What happened to you?” when she sees the burns)

After Ari had left the spare room where Luna currently resided, she lay on she stomach and thought. She was thinking about the note the healer had passed her. Luna was pretty sure she trusted Ari. Sure, he could be a bit interrogative at times. Yet, she had no reason to distrust him. She didn't want to think about it just then though, so she expelled the thought from her mind and decided to think about it later.
For a moment the thoughts of what the healer had told her upon entrance to the room- that she had been out of it for four days now. Come to think of it, Luna could vaguely remember occasional times of being awake during this time, most likely just when she would be woken to take some medicines or whatnot. It appeared that death had once more come knocking at her door. Yet again Luna had survived. A miracle? Maybe. All she could recall from the half-awake times was overlapping sounds and fuzzy images. He had said everyone was worried about her, and she wondered what that really meant. Who exactly was "everyone"? She realized it honestly didn't matter, it was only her curiosity at work.
Luna glanced uneasily over at the Hysterian, who was still staring at her. She forced herself to look away and ignore it. She folded her arms on her pillow and set her chin on top on them, slightly more comfortable now that she was no longer laying on her back, where the cuts were. Though the bruise suffered some ill effects in their stead, it was much less painful.
For a few more minutes, Luna simply lay there. Some slow-paced peace was nice for a change. Soon, Kenna, the town blacksmith, strolled in and spoke to her. Luna tried to give a friendly smile. She knew Kenna was Ari's niece, most likely the reason she was here. Luna worked for a moment to position herself so she was laying on her back in an attempt to address her more properly. She tried not to show signs of her weakness as she struggled to even maneuver herself. As she found a sensible spot, she stopped moving and turned her eyes to Kenna, trying to be polite. She was surprised at how raspy her own voice sounded as she spoke:
[red]"Hello, Kenna. How am I? Hmmm... Even I'm not sure. I'm alive, so I guess that means I'm going to be okay. I don't feel so good. Apparently I had gotten some fever from my injuries..." [/red]
She went on but, As she spoke- The girl saw Fenrir, Kenna's terrible terror, a dragon she was familiar with, at the blacksmith's feet. The little dragon clambered up to the bed and placed himself next to her. Luna ran her hand over the scales on his back. When he interjected and asked where Snip was, her heart sank. She had lost Both her dragons in the war. One had been dead before her own eyes, the other had disappeared shortly after the battle. Luna felt her nose tingling like she was about to cry, but she shook her head and fought it back as she replied in dragonese to the creature:
[red]"I don't know where she is, Fenrir. I --"[/red]
Luna looked up when she was interrupted by Kenna, who rebuked Fenrir for the question and suggested he find something else to do. But before the dragon could do anything, the blacksmith switched gears and asked her something completely different.
Curtis? Luna shook her head "no" to Kenna in response. She wondered where he was now. She wondered if he had been to see her while she had been under fever. She sighed. Again she realized that he was the only thing left in the world that was hers, and her heart longed for him.
[red]"No... I haven't seen him since just after the war ended and as far as I know he doesn't know that I'm awake. Why?"[/red]
As Luna glanced up again at Kenna, she noticed quite a lot of burns on her. They were not the kind of burn you'd get from dragon fire, and it seemed like far too many to be from working the forges. She asked another question before she could answer the former one:
[red]"Goodness, Kenna! You're burned! What happened?"[/red]

Kenna paused before answering, since she’d not been wearing the bandages she had semi forgotten the burns, but now she felt really conscious about them. Her right hand subconsciously moved to her left arm. “I got them while I was trying to stop him and his friend,” nodding towards the Hysterian, “burning down the village...I’m sorry for not saving your house Luna, they...” Kenna stopped there, wanting to apologize failing Luna, but not able to put it into words. [I’ll leave a break here for however you want to react, if you decide just to have Luna think then this is just a silent pause, if you want to have her say/do something then that’s what happens. This is after that moment] Kenna snapped herself away from that thought for the present, she’d be going to that idea in a minute anyway, so she might as well get on with the idea she’d had before she’d asked the question, “And the reason I had asked about Curtis is because he should be here, even though I’m sure he’s been here a lot of the time you were out. Fens, can you go and get Curtis here.”[/i] Fenrir nodded, he could tell Kenna did want him there right now. Fenrir left the house and flew in the direction of Curtis’s house [when we want to enter him we can just say that’s when Fenrir gets there ]. Kenna looked over at the Hysterian on the bed properly. The man was scrawny, the kind of scrawny that only women can really get away with at the age he must have been, he couldn’t have been much younger than her. How could someone like him come from Hysteria? He fitted here, not there. She was starting to feel really guilty again about watching him the way she did. She had a feeling he wouldn’t have been able to hurt her anyway. “Hi,” she said to fill the silence.

Harold watched the girl from the other side of the room. He couldn't really do anything else - his jaw was bound to restrict causing any further pain, his ankles were bound and his wrists partially bound - Ari had provided a small pad on which to write on instead of speak. It wasn't like Harold would speak much anyway.
He kept staring at Luna, completely oblivious that he was in the same room as the person who was the entire reason of his presence on the island. The man who was healing him had came in not long ago, but he had quickly left. It was apparent on the strawberry-blonde girl's face that his gaze was unsettling.
Moments later the door opened once more, but instead of the healer, it was someone else. And Harold recognised her immediately. He made a quiet half-yelp noise, his eyes widening in fear. He quickly hushed as making the noise caused him intense pain. Was she going to finish him off, like how that mysterious indiviudal did with the rest of his team?
For now the blacksmith ignored Harold as he remained petrified, lying half on his side as he watched what happened in front of him. There was a lone Terrible Terror - not in a pack, like they were on Hysteria whenever they attacked, or stole food. He had an impulse to grab it and throw it out the room, but his shyness forbade him. He was alone in a room with two women, unable to do anything, and one of them broke his jaw.
The Terror soon disappeared, but now Kenna had turned to the Hysterian. Harold wished he could shuffle further backwards, but the wall next to the bed didn't allow for it. He lay there quietly, fear quite plain in his facial expression.
"Hi." She said. Harold almost flinched. Harold stared back, expecting something more. With a shaky hand, he reached for the paper and pencil and began to write something. He then presented it to her:
'Please don't kill me...' but after that the writing became illegible due to his shaky hand, and he had also gone red in the face.

As Kenna’s hand went to take the pad and read the message her heart sunk. 'Please don't kill me...' was all she could read, but it was enough. She looked at the man’s face and saw the terror that was in his eyes. She didn’t even notice the redness. “I didn’t mean…” she paused, trying to find the right words. “I’m sorry for scaring you. I’m not here to do that, I only wanted to…well apologize for doing that.” She pointed at her chin. “That was sort of my first proper battle and I’ve been feeling guilty about breaking your jaw.” She passed the pad back, “what’s your name?”When he gave the back, she smiled at him, “Hello then Harold, I’m Kenna.” He looked sweet and he wanted to be nice to him, since he was stuck here because of her. She started to sit on his bed, though she slowed the speed she sat down when she noticed the reaction (tbf, it’s a good guess the reaction would happen even if I hadn’t decided to act accordingly ). “I sort of came here to ask about the guy that saved me… do you know what happened to him? I was unconscious so I never saw anything but movements of black. You’re the only one left so I hopped that you saw something.” She wanted to thank him.

Kenna's apologetic attitude made Harold's breathing relax, but he was still flattened against the other side of the bed, still wary. As he wrote his name on the page, it was as if even in writing he had a stammer. He scratched in the runes in small, matching his shrinking demeanour in front of Kenna, before timidly pushing it along the wooden mattress back to Kenna.
Harold made a pathetic noise, curting his head, but his eyes still fixed on Kenna, just in case. She did seem nice... But then she made a sudden movement to sit on the bed, making him do a squealing noise and pushing himself further away. She slowed her action down, but it didn't settle him. She began to talk about that man that saved her. He was outside, so he didn't see much in the fire and smoke, but he knew what he saw. It made him sink, a terrifying thought for the Hysterian, who was a stranger to a Dragon's kindness.
"The offspring of lightning and death itself." He wrote. He remembered the black figure shoot out of the billowing smoke as if it was one with it, and disappear with few flaps. Harold started to feel lucky. "I shouldn't be alive." He finished, his handwriting slowly getting worse from nerves.

“A Night fury?” Kenna was half surprised, half thrilled. She was saved by a Night Fury owner? Then a part of her sank, while she knew of a few NF owners, all of them were either in that battle or had left the island, meaning she was no closer to finding out who’d saved her. She passed her eyes along this man again, the confusion fear and relief that he was feeling was so apparent on his face it, her guilt and confusion as to what she’d been expecting mean she wanted to find out more about this person.
Kenna got up, “well, thanks Harold, when you’re in a state to walk about, I’ll show you round the place. You’re going to be stuck here for a few while so you should get to know this place.” As Kenna started to walk out the door, she turned to Luna, “if Fenrir comes back here can you tell him I’ve gone for a walk in the forest.” She needed to think.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fenrir was annoyed by how Kenna had booted him out of the room for what he’d felt was a legitimate question; he’d been sad by Snatcher’s death and sad that Snip had disappeared too. He still flew to where he knew Curtis lived from the few times he’d met Luna’s dragons here. He landed and ran to the dragons and told them that Luna was awake. While he couldn’t get Curtis to move, his dragons could take him to her.

Curtis sat outside rubbing a medium size, smooth rock along the side of his smaller sword. Slity laid wrapped around the back of Curtis and Silvia just laid with her head rubbed up against Curtis. He rubbed the rock along the skin of the steel sword slowly, making the normal noise you would generally get if you were to rub something rough against a piece of metal.
Silvia looked at Curtis for a moment, her dark and deep violet eyes looking at him. she gave a small noise that emitted from her mouth. Curtis smiled at rubbed her head. "I think your right Silvia, we should go see Luna. See how she is." He didn't know if this was exactly what Silvia said but he still needed to see the person that he loves, last time he had saw luna she was asleep and that was probably a day ago.
Just as he started to rise from the spot that he sat in he saw a dragon land Infront of them. Slity opened his eyes and gave a small snort. Curtis tilted his head abit examining the dragon for a moment, he had seen this dragon before. He walked over to it. "Hmm.. Who's dragon are you? What's her name.. Keya... Way off.." He though for a moment, "No wait its Kenna. Right?" He said looking at the dragon awaiting a response.
Curtis shrugged. Eben if the dragon did have a message for him it wouldnt be able to tell him. He Dosnt Excatly know how to speak dragonesse yet, but he's planning on starting to learn how. He looked around the woods for a second before shaking his head. "Anyways, Silvia, Slity! come on were going to the village." with that the dragons followed him out through the ice pillars and through the forest out to the village again.
time passed but they made it to the village in no time. Curtis surveyed the houses for a moment thinking which one was Aris. He looked and walked up to one of them he thinks is his and opens the door looking in, healing equipment. Must be the place. He walking in and looked around. He saw Luna and smiled. "Hey."

Luna lay and watched the exchange between Kenna and the present Hysterian. It wasn't very interesting, but she didn't have much else to do until Curtis hopefully got there. Until then she didn't have much to do, but in a few minutes he arrived.
He stepped casually into the room and glanced around, presumably looking for her. When he did see her, he smiled and greeted her. She smiled warmly and forgot the pain when she saw him.
[red]"Curtis! Hi."[/red]
She realized that this was the first time he'd seen her awake since just after the war. Maybe even the first time at all, she didn't know if he had come to see her while she had been ill and under, or wether he had even come for that matter.
[red]"Come here"[/red]
She said just loud enough for him to hear. As he trod over, she tried to look strong. There was no need to worry him any more about her, the least she could do was try and seem okay and hope he believed it. She tried to sit up a little, but only succeeded in feeling a sharp pain shoot up her severed back. She cringed and set herself back down with her feeble arms.
When he arrived at her bedside she smiled again as she looked up at him. Her finger tips brushed his hand which hung at his side but she recoiled her hand. But with that she called her sickness-weakened muscles to lift her back a few inches above the bed, and when she had done so she flung her arms around his neck and clasped her hands behind it. Now she almost hung from him. Luna wasn't putting her full body weight on him, but even if she was she knew she didn't weigh much and Curtis was relatively strong so he probably didn't mind.
She could almost feel herself breathing easier now that was here with her. Despite the fact that she couldn't recal the events that had taken place during her apparently raging fever, she missed Curtis. Almost like she sensed the separation of their souls. Her let her nose brush his as she whispered to him
[red]"I missed you... A lot"[/red]

Curtis sat down on the bed and smiled at Luna. He runs his hand on her head and leaned over kissing her on the lips. Oh, how he enjoyed feeling Luna's embrace in any way possible it made him extremely happy. And extremely lucky feeling to be put with someone that's so caring of others around her. He pulled back from the kiss after a moment and smiles,
"Don't strain yourself Luna, Just relax." He spoke as he rubs his hand over Luna's. He wanted to help make her as comfortable as he can right now, he knew it was hard to just lay there in bed and not be able to do anything. He had that problem awhile ago when Luna was treating him for his leg gash he had gotten when he was out traveling on the island when it started raining.
He smirked abit as he heard Luna say she missed him. He nodded his head and his smirk turned into a gentle smile. "I miss you too, a lot. I love you so much and I'm happy your just ok." He rubbed his hand over Luna's hand and looked around the home. It seemed quent. It was small and cozy with the fire going.
"How are you doing? also is there anything you want me to get you or for me to do for you I'll be more then happy to do so." He said looking at Luna waiting for a response. slity and Silvia would be sitting behind him looking st Luna Aswell,

Luna let out a quiet little laugh when Curtis said he was glad she was okay.
[red]" 'Okay' might not be the word I'd use for it, but I plan on living through this "[/i][/red]
He ran his palm over the back of her hand and she turned her hand over and laced her fingers through his. Feeling the farmiliar hand pressed against her own comforted her. Still grasping it, she moved the larger hand closer to her and gave the back of it a gentle kiss. Then she lay her hand still clasped to his in his lap as he spoke.
In reply to his questions she spoke
[red]" I'm really not doing to well. My body really hurts, especially this bruises spot on my ribs. I can't believe I was so feverish that I was so out for four days. I must have caught it from being so cold and wet. But there isn't really anything I can think of that I want or need."[/i][/red]
After a moment she playfully whispered
[red]"The only thing I guess I'd want is a better kiss. But I'm still getting over that terrible fever, and I don't need you coming down with that! Besides, we can get on with that when we're alone"[/red]
For the first time that morning, Luna looked down at herself and gave herself a look over. She noticed she had been changed into brown leggings (probably just to avoid awkward moments when her wounds needed looking at) underneath a loose-fitting nightshirt. She smiled when she saw that she still had on the bracelet Curtis had given her. Lifting her wrist she commented
[red]" I can't believe I still have this through the attack. I would have thought for sure I'd have lost it one way or another."[/i][/red]
Luna sighed.
[red]"You know, in a strange way, I'm a little glad it's me laying here like this, even though I'm pretty much death warmed over. If I had been in your position the day of the battle...I don't think I could have handled it. I'd be too scared if it had been you. I would have been a terrible mess."[/i][/red]
She sighed again and bit her lip, just thinking about it got her upset. Then she stared at the wall and felt stupid because she wasn't even sure why she'd said that.

Curtis shrugged a little. He knew very well as she did that the guises were eventually going to heal up on their own, they just needed time to get through that process. Curtis smiled abit and looked at her from head to toe.
"Well we will just have to wait for the bruises to heal by themselves, and what ever else might of been damaged will go back to their normal state in time sooner or later. You just need to relax and rest abit more when you can." He gave her a reassuring look. Then smiled at her next comment. "And for a better kiss. Once your all better and able to move around normally you can get that, plus I'll take you where you want." he smiled abit once again.
He looked at the bracelet in Luna's wrist, he was surprised himself that it hadn't come loose or anything and fall of in the mud, hes glad he did because that's something he wanted Luna to keep for a long time at the least.
"We'll, I made sure what keeps it held together around your wrist is strong so if you knocked it time over time again it Dosnt come loose easy," He laughed abit running his finger over the bracelet for a minute,
He listened to her speak again before she faced the wall. He knew she probably wouldn't of been able to handle it much if he had been in her position. He would of rather been in her position, but not at the same time.
"You know what Luna, I would of rather taken your place during it, but at the same time I wouldn't of. Because if I took your place, you would be free of injury, but then you would be so worried about me you might get yourself sick. You see why I would but wouldn't at the same time?"
Curtis looked at her and rubbed his hand along her arm gently. He looked around the room just thinking to himself. Silvia plopped down onto the bed making sure not to hit Luna, she slowly moved over to Luna on the other side of the bed and licked her cheek before laying down beside her. Curtis laughed a little.
"I think someone missed you abit," Curtis watched Silvia for a moment.

Luna mumbled almost timidly in reply
[red]"Yeah, I understand"[/red]
She didn't really want to think about them being in the opposite situation. It frightened her. He rubbed his hand over her arm. He seemed very restless as his fingers ran repeatedly up and dOwn her arm. The topic must have been jarring him as well. Now she regretted bringing it up.
As the extended silence advanced, Luna felt something land on the foot of the bed she lay on. She peered down and saw Silvia carefully making her way towards where Curtis and she were settled. The small-ish white dragon settled herself on the opposite side of Luna from where Curtis set. She crawled up slowly and licked her cheek. Luna smiled at Curtis comment, nodded and laid her hand on the dragon's head.
[red]"Hi, Silvia"[/red]
She watched as the dragon purred and curled herself up, settling between Luna's arm and body.
[red]"She's getting big for this[/red]
She said to Curtis as she stroked her scales. It made her miss her own two dragons. Luna sent her hand to meet his and she whispered for him to calm down as she laced her fingers one again through his. She sighed. Peace at last.
Thinking ahead Luna began to wonder when she would be able to leave Ari's house. She surely did not wish to depart before a descent amount of recovery, but she was still eager to be somewhere where there weren't creepy people staring at her from across the room. She glanced over at the other occupant of the room and uneasily noticed the other patient continuing to do so. He didn't seem harmful, it simply made her rather uncomfortable though. Looking back at Curtis she spoke.
[red]"We should ask Ari when I can go home- oh er, I mean... To your house. That is as long it'll still be okay for me to stay there? Until I have a new house of my own built?"[/red]
