Irrite watched as Venny got kicked out, it was amusing but really pathetic. But he felt bad for person who made him a forced companion. The first to go out was a shameful experience. 'Get it together, Furlong, you got a dragon to handle.' Bringing his attention back on Mr. Nappy pants, he realized the dragon had covered the chest with one of his wings. Giving a snap of his fingers out of frustration, he stepped over to the back of the chest instead.
Making sure he wasn't annoying the Boneknapper, or in line of his sight. He thought up of another plan, because pushing this guy off or making him dizzy was not a good plan. Perhaps 'borrowing' one of his already acquired bones? He immediately shook his head at the worst idea possible. That would totally anger off Nappy, and probably get him out of the lesson. He wasn't as carefree as the Sharpblade there, no he had to be careful.
Instead he decided to stay behind Nappy, hopping he would turn around. Why? Well he didn't exactly know at the moment and it might get him killed. "Alright Nappy, just in case I end up like Sharpblade. I would like to apologize in advance before I do something stupid," he said fiddling with his fingers.

Hermes ignored Grima until the last moment. "Wait. There's stuff in this box?!" She took some steps back to inspect the box, pawing at it and biting at the lock with her beak, trying to pry the thing open. Before she could destory her own box, the noise with the Skrill spooked her, and remembering there was a boy after her goods, stopped playing and continued the threat towards him. She growled some more. The guy still wouldn't go away!
Chad called for Sven over the din. He knew what he wanted, despite not completely hearing the teacher of the racket the Skrill was making. He made his way down, on alert and wary of all the dragons in the arena, just in case.
Unforunately the drama reached it's peak as Sven had only just passed through the gates into the ring. Sven was going to intervene to perhaps calm the angry Skrill, even with little knowledge on the species he knew from how things were playing out that the dragon demanded pure respect, as most dragons did. But Shock's owner beat both him and Chad to it. Chad scolded them and Sven watched regretably as he saw the look on Venny's face as she left the arena. Flint tried to defend the girl, and she was right in Sven's opinion and wanted to traslate it for Chad's ears, but then the trickster's own dragon chipped in, saying not to bother...
Camo left as well, even if it wasn't him who had to leave, but after some words for his human, he stayed by the gate where Sven was. The dragon was obviously upset for his human and the Dragonologist hoped to try play some part in in fixing things up. He approached the dragon, hoping to place a hand on his snout to show he was a friend.
But the Skrill wasn't finished, crackling with electricity the beast angrily huffed out the cage, and Sven had to move out of the dragon's line of sight lest he got toasted, his hair raising from the static as the dragon crawled past. He looked overhead as Shock took flight, revealing it's full form with outstretched wings. It definitely was an impressive dragon... and definitely not one to cross on a bad day.
Ah! He was supposed to tell Hermes what do do. He patted the Changewing, being careful with the dragon's soft hide. "Don't worry. Your human will cheer up." He said, before inching his way towards the ball of razors without provoking any dragons.
He didn't want to alarm either of them, and he definitely didn't want to approach in case Hermes reacted badly. She was wired up enough as it is. He took out from his bag a strange, thick glove, before slinging his bag against the wall of the arena and in the background held his arms out in Hermes' direction to show he wasn't a threat.
The movment caught Hermes' attention, pulling her glare from the dark clothed boy before her, to her partner. What the heck was he doing? He mouthed something, but Hermes couldn't read lips. She cocked her head to the side a little, puffing up a little more.
What was his name again? Grima? Sven began to speak calmly and quietly, but loud enough for Grima to hear him. "Don't look away from her. Listen, there's no way you are going to get to that box. Now, open your arms wide, show you're unarmed and you mean no threat. Bow slightly and start slowly walking backwards. Keep an eye on her still. If she turns around... run."
He hoped Grima was smart enough to follow his command.

Chad watched with a thoughtful face as Shock stormed out of the arena. His eyes stayed on the infuriated Skrill until it landed in the shadows of the arena. He nodded to himself. That was fine. As long as it didn't do anything to interrupt his lesson. His eyes strayed to the form of young Venny. It was sad to send her out. But it needed to be done. He couldn't help the small smile that came to his face as Venny shunned her dragon back to the arena. The Changewing didn't go to its box and Chad just shrugged it was fine with him. That gave him another box just in case.
Throughout everything Fireworm grew a bit bored. Thinking that maybe she could get some rest until her turn with a ViT came up, she closed her eyes. Her body still curled around the box. No unsuspecting kid would be able to sneak up on it as long as she kept her hearing alert.
Daggers eyes strayed to each kid. Calculating their knowledge on the other dragons. In a way he was helping Chad. That seemed bizarre, yes. But Chad gave him delicious fish so Dagger figured he could do something nice for him. Although he saw Chad's eyes leave the Skrill and Changewing, his eyes stayed on them. Making sure they didn't do anything that could harm the lesson.
Saphira tilted her head. The girl didn't understand her language so why try to talk to her. As she asked her to make up her mind she gave a chortled sort of laugh. The girl really hadn't done anything to even come close to getting the chest. So she did nothing. Just looked at Ulrika, waiting for her to get a clue of what she needed to do.
Nappy listened to the young boy carefully. He turned his head slightly as Irrite spoke and then turned his whole body. He eyed the boy carefully. He was being respectful and it intrigued him greatly. Now he wondered what he was going to do. He exposed the box slightly showing the boy that so far he was going in the right direction.
Chad watched with interest as Sven approached Grima and Hermes. His glance to the others showed they were doing good. Ulrika seemed confused but that was probably better than mad. Bryn was trying to patch up her disappearance. And Irrite? Well he was confusing Chad at the moment. His eyes went back to Grima, Sven, and Hermes. Ready to protect Grima if he needed protection.

When Hermes reacted to his comment about the box, Grima knew he was not going to get this box. He needed to retreat, but how would the dragon react? He desided to just keep his hands in view while slowly backing away.
He was about to do it when she changed her view to one right behind him, she looked confused. Someone’s behind me. Grima thought. Then Sven started quietly talking to him. Grima couldn’t help but smile in an annoyed manner. He slowly raised his hands as he was finishing and started backing up, “I was just about to do that. I know when I’m facing off with someone that can’t be talked out of something.”
He kept looking at the dragon, ready to react to anything that happened until he was roughly where Sven had been and Sven had gotten to where he had been. A part of him wanted to watch what the dragonologist was about to do, but the other part wanted to get to a new dragon…He started to look around (while still keeping Hermes in his perception) finally starting to see how others had been getting on, and noticing how a few dragons ant ViTs weren’t in the line anymore.
Flint smiled at the human in the nicest way she could, “It’s alright, girl, it’s not your fault for your dragon overreacting like that. Just focus on me now so you can get to one of the other dragons.”

Venny had made her way up to where she was ordered harshly to go. Leaning, she watched whatever else happened there. "Stupid Skrill," she grumbled as she made herself comfortable. The Sharpblade had spotted her Changewing by the door, who knows why he wanted out. But then again, who wanted to be in there.
With a sigh, she decided she should make the best of it. Venny had wrapped her arms around the bars for support of not falling down. It was a better view than standing anyways. But she placed her helmet on the ground so there was no risk of losing it. Resting her head on one of the bars, she observed the other poor souls down there. Whatever they were doing, it was better than what she did.
But she somehow insulted the Skrill, and that thing had made her the first viking out in seconds. And that was embarrassing. Although someone had to get out first, it might as well be her. Shock was going down soon, after that maybe an apology. Glaring down at Camo and everyone else, she scoffed.
Before she thought of insulting the other Vikings in training, she bit her tongue. Those kinds of comment had got her no where today. But that didn't stop here, nah she insulted them mentally. Snickering occasionally as she pulled on a smug grin.
- - - -
Camo gave a small snarl at the Skrill before he laid his head back down. How rude. He planed on keeping that Skrill away from him and Venny, Shock was not exactly a friendly dragon. And he preferred everyone unharmed honestly. Now watching the show, his antennas drooped down. But he cheered himself up by reminding himself that he was no longer in the game.
The Changewing had lightly flinched at the touch that the Dragonologist had laid upon his hide. With wide slitted eyes, he raised his head toward Sven with a confused look. With a blink, his eyes returned back to it's lazy state. He didn't expect anyone patting him.
Understanding what Sven had told him, he nodded in response. He was right, Venny, and most children, got back in spirit in no time. Once Sven had trotted off to Hermes, Camo's head followed with interest. It was amusing that some foreigner had spoke his language, perhaps later he could borrow him for talking sense into Venny later.
Deciding to check out what the heck is happening, he watched Hermes and every other dragon. The Grima kid was up against a curious Hermes, Bryn was tackling down the Zippleback, Ulrika was being distracted and what not, and who knows what Irrite was doing anymore.

Ulrika was struggling with her dragon. She was smart enough to know she wasn't getting anywhere at all, but she didn't realise the the reason for it. She tried to think what Timber liked, but she wasn't too sure about that either. Their relationship was only at the beginning, she hardly knew anything about the dragon at all!
She began to frown, folding her arms at the dragon. She had tried everything she could think of! ”Why can't you give me a chest!? I'm a good person! Honest!” She tried to reason, knowing it was most likely hopeless as well.
She huffed, unfolding her arms and bringing her hands to her hips, she turns round to face Chad in the distance, who was busy observing Grima and Hermes. She briefly followed the gaze to see him retreating from Hermes, his spot being taken by Sven. Ha! Did Grima fail at having a go at Hermes? Ulrika was confident she could get one good terms with Hermes, she'd been in her presence a few times with Sven and nothing bad had happened before.
With that little boost of confidence she left Sapphira and went up to Chad, jabbing him in the arm. ”Hey, Chad! I think your dragon is faulty! It's not doing anything when I do stuff! Can I get a different dragon?” She asked. She was sure there was something wrong with Sapphira, nothing had happened whilst everyone else seemed to be getting on fine, or acutally getting interesting reactions from their dragons. Ulrika was surprised that Shock raged on Venny, when it was usually her in the often literal hotseat.

Even with half of her mind on her worryingly temperamental dragon, Bryn knew enough to keep from following in Venny's footsteps- or worse. Let's get on with this. She thought. Remembering she still had her swords strapped to her back, she carefully pulled the sheaths off over her head and set them down behind her. Rule number one: Approach the dragon unarmed. Check. Rule Number Two: Do not aggravate the dragon. So far, so good. Rule Number Three: Get the chest. Still working on that.
Bryn's hands were open-palmed and facing upwards as she moved cautiously closer to the Zippleback, doing her best not to stray into the cloud of flammable gas that Stahl had graced her with. Dimly, she was aware that Ulrika was having trouble with her dragon, but quickly shut off the input to her brain, pouring her focus into the task at hand- get to the chest, get an item, get back. All without dying or getting injured, and without insulting the dragon. Cake. I hope. -- Shock watched Myrkr's progress grouchily from the cliff, trying to keep her own mind off Sharpblade. But inevitably, her brain strayed to the source of her irritation. Shock knew herself well enough to know that she'd probably feel bad for trying to scorch the girl later- not that she'd ever say anything of course, at least, not until Sharpblade did. The deep-feelings searching made another spark crawl across her scales. She really needed to get this under control. The next thing you know, she'd be off heroing and saving lives.

Irrite didn't know what he was doing anymore, something about keeping in the game. The games of figuring out what to do with no clues. He just figured keeping the dragon curious was a good plan, after all he didn't know what he was doing either. He hoped he was somewhat amusing to the others, Irrite felt like he was stuck in a game of avoiding traps. The slightest movement could screw up everything.
He racked his brain to figure out was viking did with their dragons. He'll ask later after he gets out of this challenge by angering off the Boneknapper. Right, they did that hand thing. Would that even work? Irrite had stepped back from the dragon as well as the chest itself. He held out a hand out, doing that thing he occasionally saw others do. Tame dragons right? Yeah he hadn't done that yet. That time never came for the boy, soon hopefully but maybe never. He was cool with that, Irrite had Camo to ride with. Even if he sucked at flying too.
"You're gonna have to forgive me here Nappy, I haven't really tamed a dragon of my own yet," he said trying to remain calm. Irrite steadied his had as he neared his hand closer to Nappy.

Sven heard Grima's snarky comment, but ignored it. Sven didn't know Grima would do well, he was only taking precautions just in case. Besides he had a greater threat than the Viking-In-Training at hand. He advanced cautiously, overtaking Grima as the other retreated. He needed to keep Hermes' attention on him, instead of the boy.
Hermes saw both the humans as a threat, and she wanted to follow Grima to make sure he would stay away, but now with Sven advancing, she wasn't sure quite what to do, so she remained arched over her box, keeping an eye on both of them. Whenever she looked at Grima, though, Sven would make a noise or a movement in the corner of her eye that'd bring back her attention to him. He was the bigger threat to her prize now – he was coming forwards where the other was going away.
She hissed and bristled more, as the dragonologist didn't stop moving closer to her. But then she noticed his glove as he slipped it on, and a new dilemma was brought forth – that glove, the symbol of ultimate pampering, but was it a trick? She growled more at him.
”Hush, Hermes. I don't want your box.” He said calmly, knowing she wouldn't believe him. He was very close now, and he didn't think Hermes' scales could stand any higher. He highly doubted he could get any closer. It was up to Hermes to come to him. ”The box is yours, and yours only.”
”I know that.” She spat angrily, pawing at the ground. ”So why are you here?” Yup. She didn't believe him.
”I wanted to see you, I-” He couldn't finish, as he had tried to risk another step forwards, but Hermes saw it and it was too much. The dragon freaked out, rearing and spreading her wings threatiningly.
"Piss off, yellow-headed thief!" She cried, even letting out a puff of reddish fire, which definitely meant that the dragonologist was a great threat. Sven instantly cringed, realising he had gone too far and did the safest thing he could do right now – drop to the floor.
He was right in doing so, as the dragon flapped it's wings in front of her, as if trying to lunge out at Sven, hoping to strike with those rather sharp scales. Sven quickly rolled out of range and got back to his feet, backing slightly, arms up defensively and in peace, his heart pouding against his chest.
Out of range, and Hermes not wanting to leave the box, the dragon quickly calmed, and with a huff circled the box before glaring at Sven. Sven tweaked a frown. He was slightly stumped at what to do, but he needed to make this dragon less of a danger. He needed to convince his dragon that he wasn't a threat. And it wasn't just the glove. He went to his bag, walking slowly and keeping an eye on the dragon at all times. He rummaged until he found what he was looking for – a sort of meat-roll that could be considered a treat for dragons.
He tried again, pampering glove in one hand, delicious food in the other. He kept his distance this time. Once Hermes seemed a little more comfortable with his distance, he lowered his head, and oriented his body as if in submission. Working with dragons, he had quickly come to learn the humans were always inferior, and had to earn a dragon's respect.
”I know of a place where you can keep your prize safe.” He stated simply, breifly looking up every now and then to make sure Hermes wasn't about to lope off his head. There was no reaction, but an increased interest. He took a slow step forwards. ”If that's alright with you...” He said, risking another step. There was a silence as both parties tried to read each other, and what to do depending on the outcome. Hermes moved first, moving her head to eye Sven and clucked slightly through the hissing and growling. Sven took another step, bringing the pampering hand a little further forwards.
”I belong to you, don't I..?” He asked, before making a crooning noise in the back of his throat. Hermes tilted her head.
”'Course. You're mine.”
”You've done an excellent job taking care of me...” He crooned more. ”It makes me sad to see you like this... You know I'd not do anything against you...” Hermes then gave a thoughtful look. It was true that Sven made sure no harm came to Hermes as well. He had stopped poachers try to kill her for her hide once. ”I only want to help you...” He said, taking another step, around abouts the same distance as he was before. He wouldn't advance any closer now.
Sven's heart skipped a beat when Hermes took a hesitant pace forwards. He didn't think such a thing would have ever happened. He hoped their years of being together was actually counting for something. Hermes could smell the food as well by now, and was intrigued in it. Noticing this, he retreated his gloved hand and coaxed the dragon closer with the food, also taking a step himself so the dragon wouldn't be so deteached from her current obsession.
