Drakoh stretched lazily on his favourite rock. The sun was beating down like it had never been any other way. A bluebird fluttered down onto the bones of the dead Nadder outside his cave. Drakoh paused. Who did this bluebird think it was? He unfolded his wings and sprang down, swallowing his prey whole. His tail thumped the ground with unnecessary force; his mind was once again filled with anger. He shook his head. No more memories.
The cool breeze was beckoning. Drakoh slipped into the sky as if it was water. His wings curved smoothly and, for a moment, the birds froze in the sky, as if to greet their king. They fled the moment they looked away, however. Drakoh swooped through the sky, eyes searching for humans. The bluebird had made him hungry.
After half an hour of searching, Drakoh was quite annoyed. Nobody. Or maybe they were hiding, he couldn’t tell. Time to pull out his old trick. He wrapped his wings around himself, but kept his tail out for balance. The wind rushed past him and he dropped. The trees rushed closer and closer…
CRASH!
Drakoh slammed into the ground. Trees swayed around him and the leaves flew into the air. He groaned. His head hurt a little; he hadn’t meant to land with that much force. He unwrapped his wings and laid them limply on the floor. Breathing as loud as he could, the Night Fury closed his amber eyes and waited for a human to come.

Ryan decided to take a little walk throughout the forest. Walking different places had seemed to be on his mind ever since he had met Dusty. If he hadn't strayed, then he wouldn't of found him. Perhaps going out of his comfort zone and traveling was a good thing. Besides, he would still have here to come back to and call home. This forest would always be his home, no matter where else he strayed. He had established himself here and been here for his thirteen years of existence, he wouldn't leave it now. Not for anything in the world. True, sometimes he did fantasize about becoming part of a tribe, but he was still doubtful. For one, he wasn't good around people, period. That meeting with Glo and Zim had proved that. If he was like that around one person, he couldn't even imagine what he'd be like around a whole group or tribe. Plus, he'd think that the small tribe would seem cramped after having all the freedom of living in a forest.
As he kept walking, he entered into another forest. This forest was foreign to him. Dusty nudged Ryan's hand and kept following. The pouch with the spear heads was around Ryan's waist and the staff was in his hand, walking. All of the sudden he heard a very loud crash. The boy and dragon both stiffened in shock. Ryan jumped out of fright. He hated loud noises of any kind. The dragon beside him let out a grumble and tilted his head. The brown sniffed the air and Ryan started forward, wondering what had crashed. The continued through the forest, wondering what it was if it was still there or not. Soon, Ryan heard loud breathing. Dusty stopped and gently took Ryan's overly-large sleeve in his mouth. The Brown started to tug Ryan in the opposite direction. "What?" the human teenager asked the dragon beside him. The dragon shook his head and continued to tug on the sleeve. "Oh come on, I'm sure we'll be fine," Ryan said, patting Dusty on the head.
Dusty whined and let go of his human's sleeve. Ryan kept walking then came to a dead halt. Dusty had stopped before Ryan, so he didn't crash into him like last time. "Another dragon?" Dusty hurred in dragonese. Those set Ryan off as well as, apparently, other humans. As Dusty had gotten to know Ryan, it had become evident that this human hadn't been into contact with many dragons. Ryan stood there, staring at the large dragon that was now on the ground infront of them. Dust took Ryan's sleeve in his mouth again. "Come on... let's get out of here!" he grumbled. Dusty knew that all dragons weren't friendly. There were still numerous ones that weren't tamable, were still wild. He had been one of them until he had met Ryan.OOC: Hope me hopping in here is okay Hope the post is okay too... Drakoh could smell human and dragon mixed together. The human wasn’t scared…yet. The dragon seemed more cautious though. Drakoh sat up. His round eyes blinked cutely at Ryan, his eyes glittering. The stupid humans always wanted to touch Night Furies. He bent his head, inviting the human to stroke him. Just a little closer… Finally, Drakoh decided he was too close. Why had he let get that close? I’m such an idiot!he thought. The mighty Night Fury leaped upwards, his wings stretched out in a defensive stance. He roared at the boy, showing his sharp white teeth. His eyes searched for the dragon, but it was out of his sight. He drew his attention back to the boy. Deciding to have a little fun, he growled angrily taking a quick lunge forward before stepping back. He enjoyed watching them scream.
His belly screamed at him to attack; it rumbled so loudly it made the ground shiver. He fought the urge to tear the thing apart. Soon… soon…

Ryan wasn't initially freaked out, but now he was. At first, he had been shocked, yet again, to see another dragon. How many were there around here and why had he never seen them in his forest? He backed up a little. The Brown who was around a foot away from him backed up as well. He didn't much like this situation. The boy watched the large dragon extend its head. Ryan wasn't sure what dragon it was, he didn't even know what type Dusty was. He didn't go to stroke it though, he was to wary of it.
Evidently the big black dragon wasn't as hurt as Ryan thought he was. The reptile growled, leapt up and went to lunge at him. The boy tensed, downcast his eyes and took a leap backwards, his heart hammering. He bit down on his tongue, trying not to scream; he was afraid that would just scare or provoke the creature. While standing there, very freaked out about if the dragon was going to eat him or not, Ryan was trying think about what to do. If he ran then he ran the possibility of the great reptile giving chase. Then he was done for. Dusty who was still behind Ryan bared his teeth slightly as the Night Fury took a lunge at Ryan. Right now, it only seemed like it was trying to get a reaction. Ryan didn't give him a big show.
While he was thinking, Ryan heard a large growling. It sounded like a stomach growl. He thought like an animal, it wasn't hard to do since he had lived around them for so long. Maybe it was just hungry. He still kept his eyes down, only predators stared. Right now, Ryan was pretty much feeling like prey. The boy was thinking that having a staff in his hand and spear heads around his waist wasn't helping. Maybe he could try to do what he had done with Dusty, although right now, this dragon seemed a bit less cooperative. For one, Dusty hadn't lunged at him when Ryan had first seen him.
The boy took the pouch off his waist and threw it backwards over to Dusty, he also put his staff down and threw it behind him as well. Dusty, who was watching, sort of figured out what Ryan was going to do. He just really hoped the Night Fury wouldn't eat both of them. The boy took a fruit out of his sack and still, with his eyes down, rolled it to the black dragon.OOC: Hope that's okay Character Name: Ryan Simons//Dusty Mood: Freaked Out, Wary, Animalish...(if that's even a word XD)//Slightly Protective, Worried To: Drakoh the Night Fury IC Word Count: 438 Made By: Ellie Brigid at Olympian Prophecy

Drakoh paused. This human was giving him food? He narrowed his eyes. The human was afraid, he could tell, but why did he put his weapons down? Stupid humans. They were so weird. Why was it giving him food? It must be an attack.
He roared, causing the trees to shiver. The mighty dragon leapt forward and knocked the boy against a rock, but he did not kill him. Instead he kept the human under his claw. He realised with a jolt that this is what Toothless had done all those years ago. He stared into his prey’s eyes and saw something in there. He kept staring, his pupils huge. A small memory came back; his brother Saret. He had the same expression before the humans came. The fire seemed so near. For years he had pretended that it never happened, that he was a new dragon with no feelings. He blinked slowly. Today it was hard to pretend.
BANG!
Suddenly there was an explosion of fire. A black shape flew quickly into the sky. The fire spread through the trees toward him. Drakoh jumped backward, snarling. His foot slipped on a rock and he slammed headfirst into a tree. His front leg slipped into his open mouth, his teeth cutting into the soft flesh. He howled in agony and turned round. He could see the human and he limped toward him, unsure whether to attack or cry for help.

Ryan just froze and kept his position. He half knew that he should make himself be calm since animals fed off of your emotions and could pick them up. However, Ryan wasn't feeling to calm now, and he was sure the great big black dragon could pick that up rather easily. He stiffened as the dragon roared. Ryan hated loud noises. Dusty flattened his ears and watched the trees vibrate. He didn't mind other dragons, even wild ones, but if they started to pose a threat, then he usually wasn't happy. This Night Fury seemed to be posing a very slight threat in his mind.
The Brown growled as the black dragon pinned Ryan against a rock, but knew he couldn't' do anything. He was no good at fighting, and even if he was, he knew that he could never take on a Night Fury. They were a lot bigger than him. Ryan bit his tongue and gave a slight wince has his head hit the rock. Ow! he yelped internally, still fighting to not opened his mouth and verbally say it. His heart began hammering and he felt the dragon stare directly at him. Ryan slowly looked back into his glare and blinked with him.
A bang separated the teenager and the dragon's gaze. Must there be so many loud noises today? Ryan thought, glancing around. Then his mind registered it. Fire. Gulp. Although his human hadn't noticed it, Dusty looked up, seeing a black shape taking to the sky. Ryan scrambled backwards, then crashed into Dusty, who nudged him upwards. "Thanks..." Ryan panted, his heart still racing. Ryan winced as the large dragon crashed into a tree then accidentally bit itself. Ryan made eye contact with the dragon. Feeling only slightly safer, if he showed signs of aggression again, he'd just break the eye contact. "Would you like me to help you?" the teenage boy asked softly. Even if something wanted to hurt him, he had a compassion for hurt animals; be it a regular animal or a dragon.Character Name: Ryan Simons//Dusty Mood: Freaked Out, Wanting to Help//Slightly Protective, Curious To: Drakoh the Night Fury IC Word Count: 348 Made By: Ellie Brigid at Olympian Prophecy

Drakoh winced as the human offered to help. It was certainly strange. Drakoh limped slowly forward, his leg stinging. A rogue ember jumped onto his tail, burning a small hole in it. Drakoh squealed and tried to fly away. He jumped. Spread his wings. Fell down. Tried again.
The smoke was making the Night Fury dizzy. He knew he had no choice but to accept the boy’s help. Lowering his massive head, he limped slowly forward. He was growling inside. Drakoh, the mighty killer, was accepting prey’s help. The Night Fury shuddered. It was so embarrassing.
His leg was weak; Drakoh stumbled and fell to the floor. He looked curiously at the Basic Brown. “What do we do now?” He asked. The small dragon had a lot of meat on his legs. It would make a tasty snack, when the time came. Carefully keeping his injured leg safe, Drakoh shuffled into a more comfortable position and looked up at the human, as if asking how he was going to help.

Ryan was still hesitant about helping this great dragon. He wasn't sure if he or she was just pretending, just to get at him and possibly eat him. The boy's insides twisted and he shook his head, looking at the state of the poor dragon. No, it was completely and truthfully injured. Ryan took a deep breath, thinking about how to go about doing this. He kept still as the dragon came towards him. "No, no, it's okay, stay," the boy said softly, still keeping his eyes half down cast. He was worried that if the dragon moved, he'd just injure himself more. And that was exactly what happened.
He approached the dragon cautiously, still a bit on edge. Ryan tried to force himself to calm down. Animals can feel your emotions, he reminded himself. He took a deep breath and half calmed down, slowly looking into the great black dragon's eyes. If this was going to work, they'd need to trust each other to some extent. Right now, Ryan didn't really see that happening on the dragon's end, but things could change. Besides, he'd be happy if he got out of this alive. Half of the boy was thinking that as soon as it healed, the dragon would attack. That was just an assumption from the way it almost killed him five or so minutes previous. As the boy watched, the dragon started forward again and just stumbled and fell once again. Ryan decided to go to it instead of the dragon coming to him.
Although he was still unsure of a plan, the boy walked forward, slightly slow so the dragon could get used to it. "I'm not going to hurt you," Ryan said softly and gently, as if talking to someone on their sick bed. Quite technically, he was, only an injured dragon; just hopefully, it wasn't going to die. Dusty, who had also kept sort of a safe distance timidly approached as his human did. If Ryan had enough guts to approach the great black dragon, he had to have courage too. The only difference, was that Ryan didn't know what he had stumbled upon. Dusty had been taught of the fearful power of the Night Furies. He had never seen one with his own eyes, since he had never really flown around a lot. Plus, he kept to his own forest. The Brown eyed the Night Fury warily; if it decided to attack them, they had almost no chance. "Just wait I suppose..." the Brown hurred back, looking at Ryan.
Ryan looked at both of the dragons, still thinking. Then he got an idea. He took some plants from his sack, along with a small bowl. He poured water into it and started to mash the herbs up with his staff. This stuff worked for him, hopefully it worked on dragons as well. After a few minutes it resembled a paste like substance. Ryan held it a foot or so from the dragon's nose so he could sniff it. "It's to keep infection out and to try and help the healing," the boy explained.

((Sure! To avoid confusion, should we go Drakoh, Ryan, Frostfire? ) Drakoh winced as the human put the paste on his tail, but he stayed still. He lifted his huge head and yawned. The smoke was making him dizzy. His eyes drooped. Stay awake... stay awake...stay....awake........stay......awa...The dragon's eyes closed for a second. His legs went limp, but he struggled to stay awake. He managed to lift his head. He stared blearily at the boy and his dragon. He sniffed the air. Amongst the stench of smoke and death he could smell something new. His ears pricked. He was more awake now. He didn't know why he did it; he shuffled closer to the human, his eyes in slits.

The boy's mouth relaxed into a smile as the great dragon permitted his touch. Good... this was going alright. Hopefully the dragon wouldn't attack him once better; Dusty was alright around him, but that didn't mean all dragons were nice around humans. Ryan spread the paste evenly and grimaced slightly as the dragon winced. Hopefully he hadn't hurt him to badly. The beasts eyes drooped, it looked sort of tired. Ryan smiled and decided to stay with it until it woke up, just to see how it will have healed. Sleeping could be the best medicine, next to laughter.
Dusty gave a patient hurr and curled up next to Ryan, looking at the Night Fury with interest. "Feel any better?" he asked the great black dragon. The boy gave a grin and leaned against his dragon sort of like a pillow, patting its scaly head. "Good boy..." Ryan murmured. He watched the dragon's eyes close and smiled, rest would do the dragon some good. The boy got up and retrieved his staff and small pouch that he had thrown over his shoulder while first approaching the large dragon. He put the pouch back onto his waist and the staff infront of him as he sat again. He took a sack of his shoulder and gave Dusty a fruit. As long as they were here, might as well be fed. Dusty ate the fruit and Ryan took a bite of one as well, keeping an eye on the dragon he had just helped.
Then he felt both eyes on him from the larger, black dragon. It sniffed, and apparently picked up something that Dusty didn't. For whatever the reason, it came closer to them. Ryan smiled, this was hopefully a sign of progress, the dragon had moved closer to them from its own accord. The boy looked took another fruit from his sack and rolled it towards the black dragon, trying to offer it food again.OOC: Sounds good, your turn Frostfire Character Name: Ryan Simons//Dusty Mood: Slightly Freaked Out, Hopeful//Slightly Wary, Relaxed To: Drakoh, Open IC Word Count: 331 Made By: Ellie Brigid at Olympian Prophecy

((Okay, here's my first! )) As Frostfire soared through the bright afternoon sky, she closed her eyes and took in the wonderful feeling of wind rushing over her smooth black scales. It was late in the afternoon, and she could smell human. But there was something else... Another Night Fury. And what was it, a Brown? A Brown always makes a good snack... She thought, imagining the thing dead on the ground, her huge bite marks scarring it's throat. Frostfire shook her head and continued her flight. When the dark Night Fury spotted the human and his dragon, she spiraled quietly down behind them. Landing softly in the brush, she waited, awaiting her chance. Then Frostfire spotted the other Night Fury. Apparently, he was hurt. Frostfire's instincts told her that it was a trap, but her heart told her to help. No, no, no! She thought, I can't give into this![/color] The Night Fury bashed her tail against a nearby tree in annoyance, then realized that it was falling. It hit the ground with a huge thud, and Frostfire shrank down, her wings raised in defense.

Drakoh sprang forward when he heard the tree fall. His leg hurt like hell, but he ignored it. The fire was moving further away, and the smoke was less heavy. Drakoh's thoughts were clear. They were all in danger.
The Night Fury leaped through the trees and floored the other dragon. His teeth slid out, ready to kill, when he stopped. It was a female Night Fury, and she was... beautiful. Sapphire markings ran across her body, and her eyes were a deep blue. Quickly blinking his own golden eyes, he climbed off the Night Fury.
Drakoh could smell the human. He slowly backed through the trees, beckoning for the new dragon to follow. He half wanted her to meet his helper, and he half wanted her to take part in a hunt. He stared at the human. His eyes stung. He didn't really want to kill it.
His eyes wandered to the basic brown. Maybe as an offering...? He quickly put one paw on Dusty. "I'll try not to let her kill you, just act dead, please?" he begged. He was still unsure of what he was doing. There was an odd feeling inside him. What was it?

Ryan nearly leapt out of his skin as he heard another loud noise, similar to the one he had heard the first dragon make. The boy covered his ears; forgetting, for a moment that the other dragon was with him. Ryan hated loud noises and falling trees. It made him squeamish and frightened. It always had a bad memory for him. The sound and sight reminded him of the night that a tree had fallen on his house and killed both his parents. He yanked his mind out of the past and back to the matter at hand. Had another large dragon just crashed through the trees? Dusty gently grabbed Ryan's overly large sleeve so he wouldn't startle the Night Fury. Before the boy could react, however; Dusty became tense and the injured dragon leapt up.
The boy suppressed the urge to tell the great black dragon to stay down, it might just hurt itself even more. Ryan turned around and saw a tree fall down; the boy covered his ears and it gave a thunderous crash as it hit the ground. The first black dragon leapt up and toward the nose. Ryan gave a slight wince. That leg must be hurting him, and Ryan was just afraid that the dragon would end up injuring it more if it kept moving around like this. Then again, Ryan could relate, he didn't exactly like to stay down and heal himself.
While Ryan was having worried thoughts about the Night Fury, Dusty was slightly panicking. He had smelled the presence of another Night Fury. None that they were running into seemed friendly; they almost seemed untamable. It wouldn't be good at all if both of them suddenly turned on both him and Ryan. They wouldn't even have a chance if the two black dragons both united as Night Furies and wanted to take the Brown and human down. Dusty gave a slight growl and raised his smallish wings in defense of Ryan, who started to look slightly concerned about this. "What's wrong?" Ryan asked, looking at how tense his dragon was. Dusty gave a slight growl, then both of them gave a start when the first hurt Night Fury came towards them again.
Dusty looked at the Night Fury. "There's another one?" he hurred in a slight worry. "Oh, alright," he said, nodding. "Thanks," he hurred. Dusty laid down and shut his eyes, trying to mellow his breathing. Ryan gave a strange look at his dragon, then at the Night Fury. "What's going on?" he asked, looking at both of them again in turn. Apparently the two dragons had just conversed and come to some sort of plan or something.Character Name: Ryan Simons//Dusty Mood: Freaked Out, Hopeful, Confused//Wary, Slightly Thankful To: Drakoh the Night Fury, Frostfire the Night Fury IC Word Count: 456 Made By: Ellie Brigid at Olympian Prophecy
