Sven strolled lazily through the street, saddle under his arm. He had just returned from scouting the forests for some dragons, successfully cataloging a couple of new species. Hermes, as usual, was taking some time for herself. Unfortunately for Sven, he would not have such time to relax.
Up in the distance, crashes and bangs could be heard. Curious, the young dragonologist quickened his pace. He was soon near the noises, louder than ever, even with the occasional dragon roar.
"Tsk, look's like that Luna the Dragon Healer has her work cut out..." A passer-by muttered. Sven, who overheard this, turned around, realising he was actually in front of Luna's house. Puffs of smoke would occasionally pour out of the gaps in the windows or the chimney.
With a concerned frown, he went and knocked on the door. No answer. "Go figure, Sven. If she's busy she's not going to reply." He muttered to himself. He let himself in.
He was instantly hit by strong mix of sickly sweet and putrid smells of medicine, the entrance of the house very messy. Smoke was seeping through from the back room where all the sick dragons are kept. Sven didn't know where Luna was, so he thought he would offer his services and started to tidy the room, clearing the counter of unnecessary objects. He would of course leave ingredients where they were and books on the page they were.
He found himself a broom behind the counter, and contented himself with sweeping the floor that was covered in traces of straw, husks from seeds and dried off muddy footprints.

Luna had an unusually busy day today. She hadn't had much to do for the past couple days, but of course all the villagers need her on one day. A nadder with a disjointed and broken wing, a terrible terror with an ear infection, and a very grumpy gronckgle who had been all scratched and cut up as well as having a bad fever. From the time the sun came up this morning, she had been hard at work, trying to keep the three comfortable and treat them at the same time, which was not an easy task, especially with that Horribly moody gronckle, who had caused her enough trouble today for a week. He wouldn't stop going after the terrible terror and then the nadder wanted to get involved and Luna had to try and break it up before any of them got hurt. And as soon as Luna would make any advancement in mixing up some herbal remedies for her three patients, the tiff would start again and she would have to go fix it. This time it had gotten out of control. The nadder had stolen her boot and wouldn't give it back, the terror wouldn't stop puffing smoke at her because she was hungry and the groncle kept shoving her around and saying nasty things to her in dragonese. Luna was stressed and tired, she was ready to give up and just walk away. The gronckle violently pushed her into the wall with it's massive head, knocking Luna to the floor, the terror came over and puffed her with smoke again and the nadder just snickered at her and stared. Now Luna was on the verge of tears. Her hair was mussed, sticking up at alarming angles, she only had one shoe, she had a headache and her skirt was singed. She got up from the floor and pushed the gronckle away as she marched over to the curtian that divided this room from the main one. She turned around and said loudly at the dragons before stalking off "fine!!! Kill yourselves!!! I DON'T CARE ANYMORE!!!" which of course wasnt completely true, she was even now on her way to make herb mixtures to heal them. Luna rubbed the tears that were starting to well in her eyes away. 'get I grip!' she told herself. She cursed under her breath as she pulled the curtain away and stepped unevenly without her shoe into the room. She looked around in alarm. The room was clean, and she knew she had left it a horrible mess. Then she saw Sven, the young man she had met once when he first landed in berk. She was overcome with embarrassment over her appearance and the behavior he had proably overheard her haiving in her frustration. Luna awkwardly greeted him " hi "

Sven nodded at his handiwork, as Luna stomped through the curtain in a disheveled mess. He could definitely see the exhaustion on the younger girl - her hair almost messier than his, a part of her skirt still slightly smoking from before. He wasn't suprised that her appearence would embarrass her, so he gave her a warm encouraging smile whilst leaning on the broom.
"Hello Luna. I thought I heard a commotion in here, but when I knocked on the door, no one answered. I let myself in and found this messy room, so I thought I'd freshen the place up a little for you." He looked Luna up and down, noticing a missing boot. "I think a cleaner room gives a better atmosphere for working, anyway. Less chaos in my opinion."
A large squeak could be heard from the room opposite, and another belch of smoke seeped it's way through the doorway. "I'll go deal with the dragons - give yourself a little break or something." With that, he propped the broom against the wall where he found it and entered the back room.
It was literally chaos in here. The three dragons all seemed to be in a little chaos. A terrible terror suddenly jumped at him, the force of the little creature knocking him to the ground. Two thunderous laughs erupted from in front of him - the Nadder and the Gronckle. The terrible terror had by now buried it's way into Sven's coat, it's head popping out of the top, wide-eyed and full of fear. There was a sort of cream badly placed around the dragon's ears. Sven guessed it had an ear infection of sorts.
"Hush now..." Sven whispered, stroking it's head and taking advantage of the immobile creature to apply the cream easier around the outside of the dragon's ears. Once done, Sven hoisted himself off the ground, only to receive a sudden puff of smoke in the face - from the terror he just helped of all dragons! The two others laughed again. Sven frowned. He could see what Luna was up against now.
He knew from experience that you had to show a dragon who's the boss. He puffed his chest out and put the arms at his hips - but this appearence looked awkward with a terrible terror's head sticking out of his jacket.
"Ha ha, that stupid human think's he's better than us!" The gronckle said.
"I can understand you, Gronckle." Sven growled in dragonese, keeping a stern look with the dragon. "And it's NOT nice to pick on someone smaller than you!" Slightly raising his voice. Unfortunately the long whippy tail of the Nadder sent him to the floor again. The Terror squeaked, but Sven fell hands first, stopping himself from crushing the already ill creature. Getting back up and flashing a dangerous eye at the two, he whisked back into the main room.
With a huge sigh, Terror still at his breast, he looked at Luna. "They really are nightmares. I think you should separate them somehow, so they don't get into fights with each other." The terrible terror was growling again, ready to send another puff of smoke into his face. "What does this little guy need? I think he should perhaps stay with Snip and Snatcher. you know: birds of a feather, stick together, right?" He suggested.

Curtis woke up. Only and hour, That's all he had to sleep the past night. Silvia had been up and crazy last night and that ment Curtis was up trying to get her to calm down and get her to sleep. Suprisenly Slity slept through it all, Curtis didn't know why Usally Slity was a light sleeper, Not that night apperently. Curtis looked over at the two dragons, Silvia was currled up against Slity. He didn't want to leave the house, He knew how he was when he didn't get enough sleep. He just couldn't control himself. He rubbed his eyes and mummbled to himself. "That night was horrible.." He got up and did everything he usally did, He left two slabs of meat infront of the dragons so when they wake up they can eat. Curtis went out the door and looked around, It was an avarage day for Berk. He started to make his way to the town.
Time passed and Curtis reached the town, He walked up the hill and looked around. Might aswell visit Luna. "But do I really need to make an idiot of myself by accident?" He said to himself in a low tone, It wasn't very busy today. He walked over to Luna's door and knocked on it awaiting an awnser.

After Sven left the room, despite his suggestion to rest which sounded nice she knew she couldn't. Luna shook off the one boot she had left on so she had an easier time walking. Luna picked up the ill little terrible terror and set her over with snip and snatcher before getting to work. As She went over to her counter her bare feet made a pattering noise as she walked across the wooden floor and began to prepare her herbal remedies. The swiftly plucked the leaves, stems, roots and berries from the rafters in her roof by pushing her three-legged stool around the floor and stepping up on it as she reached the dry, brittle bundles her had been looking for. Right now she was working on a salve for the gronckle's cuts and Knicks to heal and soothe them. Once she had the ingredients she needed she shoved the tall stool back next to her counter where she stopped as well and dropped the herb bundles on the wooden counter-top where she prepared her mixtures for healing. She pulled off the parts of the sundried plants that she needed and put them In one of her mortars and pulled it quickly towards herself. She was still in a bad mood, and the embarrassment of Sven seeing her in this state hadn't helped. She took a few clean drops of water from a bucket on her counter and shook them off her fingers into the mortar as she took a pestle and began to grind them into a paste.
Once she was finished with the ointment for the cuts, she repeated the process, but made a medicine to help the groncle's fever. After she finished, she picked up the salve for the wounds and left the paste for the fever on the counter. Halfway to the back room she heard a knock on the door and turned on her heel to answer it. She dreaded opening the door, she prayed it wasn't another Viking with a patient for her. she placed the mortar in her left hand and reached out her right hand to open the door. She swung it open and was glad that it was a farmiliar face rather than another person here on business. She noticed his eyebrows were slightly furrowed and he wasn't smiling as much as he usually did. "hi. Come in." she said as she opened the door farther to allow him in. She watched him walk in. "hey, I'm in the middle of something, you can come." she walked towards her back room with Curtis following. As she walked in her bare feet, she enjoyed the feeling of the cool wood beneath her toes. She looked up into the portion of her roof where the rafters were empty of herb bundles and saw snip and snatcher lounging on the high-set wooden beams with the sick one ad she slept. She pushed the curtain back and walked into the back room and saw Sven trying to set the dragons strait. Luna couldn't help but smile and laugh quietly at his attempts. She walked over next to him. "I made some herbs for his cuts." she said and moitioned to the moody dragon. She gave Sven a small smile. She glanced back at Curtis and saw him watching them two.

He heard Luna come from behind him, with some medicine. Taking it gingerly in one hand, pulling out the terror with the other by the scruff of it's neck. It gave another belch of black smoke in his face, slightly blackening it.
"Urgh... Thanks Luna. I can see why these three are causing you so much trouble." He fished out of his backpack a dead stoat that was initially supposed to be for Hermes, but threw it for the terrible terror. It gobbled it up instantly and rubbed itself against his leg, turning docile again. "Huh, will you stop giving this healer a hard time now?" He asked. The little dragon nodded, but was still wary of the Gronckle and the Nadder.
He turned around again to face Luna, when behind her he saw another younger man. "Oh, hello! I don't believe we've met. My name's Sven, pleasure to meet you." He held out a sooty hand to Curtis, hoping he would take it despite his appearance. He didn't seem to be in the best of moods already. Maybe helping out Luna will take his mind off things, he thought. "Are you here to help Luna too? These three dragons are really a handful to look after."
"HEY! How come we didn't get any food, huh?" Said the Nadder behind him. "Yeah! Bloody favouritism..." The Gronckle agreed.
Sven turned around in a flash, eyeing the two. "Now look, you two. We'll give you food if you behave, got it?" Sven didn't really know how to make dragons behave, since he mainly observed rather than make action. This was why the two dragons didn't really take heed his warnings. They also didn't take him seriously because his face was still blackened from the terror's smokey attacks.

Curtis narrowed his eyes and extened his hand and shook Sven's. "What are you doing here?" Curtis said with a normal, Question yet demanding voice. Again, He didn't want to make himself look like an idiot, Neither to Luna, Or a new face. Generally he liked to make new friends. But right now was NOT the best of times to be doing so in the mood he was in. Curtis hadn't seen Sven before, Mabye he came here not too long ago? Mabye he has been here but Curtis just hasn't seen him. But Sven didn't look like the Viking type. So he must of came here at some point in time. "You don't look like someone from around here." He spoke with the same tone as he used before, To Sven this could be what they would think as his normal mood. Lunao n the other hand probably would notice off the bat. He dusted abit of the dust off his jacket, He wore it today becuase it was abit colder and what he would usally wear wasn't going to help him too much. Curtis looked around before turning his gaze back to Sven as he waited for an awnser from him.

"Well, I'm giving Luna a hand with her work, today is really hectic, and I can see why." He turned to look at the dragons behind him, one trying to provoke the other with nasty looks. Realising what his first impressions are looking like, he wiped off some of the soot off his face with his sleeve.
"No, I'm not from around here; I'm in fact a traveling dragonologist, so it's actually quite useful working with Luna. Studying dragons is much easier when you can get close to them." He then turned to the overworked Luna. "Maybe I should drop by more often, if that's okay with you? Anyways, Luna, could you show me where to put this ointment on the Gronckle?"
The beast had so many scratches and cuts, he had no idea which places needed to be treated in priority.

"ya, you can come by whenever you want Sven, I can always use help around here." Luna said in reply to sven's question. Then she went to answer his other question "it doesn't really matter what order, just get this on all the wounds, I've already cleaned them out." she took some of the salve from the mortar and demonstrated how to apply the soothing paste correctly. After watching Sven do it once on his own she left him to it while she went to get the mixture she had made for the gronckle's fever.
Once Luna was back in her main room, she cleaned off her hand and took the other mortar on the wooden countertop. Then the grabbed a long triangular-shaped wooden dowel. It was pretty large and rather cumbersome as well. She walked awkwardly back into the room with Sven and Curtis and the dragons in it. She saw that Sven had completed the task of treating the dragons cuts. She nodded approvingly as she looked over his work. "nice job Sven." Luna said. She set the long wooden tool on the ground and motioned for Curtis to come closer. She wasn't sure why he was lurking in the corner like that. He seemed really upset about something today. She wondered why. She wished he would smile, he was cute when he smiled and she was happy when he was. When he had walked up to her, she asked him to hold the small mixing bowl in her hand full of the medicine she was to administe to the feverish dragon. He took it and stood behind her. Luna took up the wooden plank. It was about as long as her arm and as thick as her leg and widdled into a triangular shape. This was the tool she used when she needed to give a large dragon medicine To it's mouth. All you had to do Was get the dragon to open it's mouth and then shove the tool sideways into the back of it's mouth and the hinge part of the jaw where there was gums and no teeth. It kept the dragons jaw open enough for Luna to quickly slip her hand covered in the medicine Ino it's maw and wipe It on it's tonge before pulling het hand out and sliding the wood out of the dragon's mouth. This method had never failed her before. Luckily, with the dragon mad it wasnt hard to get him to open his mouth. When she saw the opportunity, she expertly exectuted to maneuver and placed the wood in just the right spot on the dragons jaw. The gronckle roared. Luna reached back and stuck her hand in the mortar Curtis held and put all the stuff on her hand. She darted towards the dragon and as she slid her hand in- she heard a sickening crack of wood. She thought her hand was going to be eaten by the angry dragon, when she heard a wooden bowl drop Amd clatter on the floor as a pair of arms grabbed her around the waist and tugged her back. Curtis had just saved her hand. Quickly, she turned around and closed her eyes as the began to kiss the figure you had pulled her away from the raving mad dragon. Curtis proably needed a kiss today too, he didn't seem to be very happy- perhaps this would cheer him up a bit. About 7 heartbeats later, she hadn't stopped, but she was confused as to why Curtis wasn't returning her affections, he was just standing there- frozen like a rock. She persisted For about 10 more heartbeats and when he still stood there- petrified like a lummox, she opened her eyelids and saw two green eyes with blonde hair hanging in them staring back at her. Then Luna froze.

Curtis had watched Luna put the stuff into the dragons mouth. He was even more suprised and Shocked at what Luna had just done, He Stood there with wide eyes and his mouth open abit. "What the Fuck?!" Well, Apperently this day wasn't getting any better for him. He was hoping we was going to but apperently not. Did that really just happen though? Yes... It did. Curtis just stood there not sure what else to say besides what he had just said. He closed his mouth and closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again with his eyebrow raised, Although he didn't show it it would be clear that he was Shocked and pissed at the same time. He leaned back against the wood and awaited a reply on what had happened.

Sven saw the dowel buckling under the sheer strength of the Gronckle's maws. He heard the sickening crack, and with heart-skipping reaction, he pulled Luna from the dragon's mouth before the huge toothy cavity slammed shut, dropping the bowl of medicine. Life itself was more important than remedies.
He understood the meaning of saving life and limb well enough, but Luna's following reaction was incomprehensible. Too confused and shocked, he did not return the kiss. Eyes wide, Luna wasn't letting go.
"What the fuck!" Curtis shouted. At this Sven pushed Luna gently at the shoulders, recovering from shock to tear himself away from Luna and look at Curtis. His mouth was opening and closing like a goldfish. Looking backwards and forwards between Luna and Curtis, realisiation struck him.
He suddenly jumped back several paces from Luna, as if she had electrocuted him. He had landed himself in a mighty awkward situtation, not entirely his fault. "Oh." Was all he said. A his of red flushed his cheeks. This was not good at all.
Curtis was giving him looks that could kill - Sven held his hands up in surrender, preparing for the worst. He did not know this guy - but his girl just kissed him and he sure as hell wasn't happy about it.

Luan looked at Curtis and Sven in shock. She couldn't believe she had mistaken Sven for Curtis and done that to him. They both stared at her giving her looks mixed with confusion and disgust and in curtis' eyes, she saw anger. She tried to start a sentence to explain her mistake, but she couldn't speak a word. Tears began to roll down her face As she realized the full extent of the mess she had gotten the three into. She whimpered and shook like a small child. She ran past the two dumbfounded young men sobbing, her face in her hands. She tore through the small room and Into the large one before running through the curtain to her bedroom and crashing onto her bed. She curled into a ball and hid under her blanket as she cried waves of tears Amd sobbed up all her emotion. In that one stupid mistake, she had ruined her relationship with Curtis and any friendship she would have had with Sven. She had been an idiot. And now they were proabaly tearing each other apart and would come after her next. Those two had been the only people she would dare call friends, and Curtis had defiantly been more than just a friend. But all the time she had spent with him didn't matter now. She smeared tears across her freckled face as more salty drops replaced them. She had just ruined her life. In one kiss.

Curtis watched Luna run past them. He stared for a moment when she disappeerd. Curtis let out a light sigh, He snapped out of his little mood he had been in since he had waken up. Curtis sat down agains the wall and looked at the floor. "Damn dragon kept me up all night and now I made myself look like an idiot.." Curtis stopped and thought for a moment. Silvia kept him up all night, and that made him arrogant and judgey. He looked over at Sven, It was clear that there was worry in his eyes. He turned his gaze back to the ground and closed his eyes for a moment, "What am I going to do now.." Curtis bit on the cornor of his lip for a moment. He looked back at Sven, "Im sorry about anything I have done. But Im still wondering why that just happened." He paused for a moment and fiddled with his hands. "You have any idea on why that happened?"

Sven's face turned yet again from shock and hope that he wouldn't get murdered on the spot, to a drastically softened face as Luna betrayed the signs of a downpour of crying. Normally he would have advanced and made sure she was ok, but something kept him firmly rooted to his place, as Luna ran away from the two men. Sven, with his understanding nature, did not follow. His eyes snapped back onto Curtis'.
Now the two boys were along in the room (save for the dragons) he sincerely hoped that Curtis would not try and kill him for the action. He was surprised yet again as his facial expression softened as well, and he slumped to the floor, mumbling something about a dragon, but Sven didn't quite catch it. Sven shuffled his feet, feeling slightly out of place.
The apology shocked him even more. What was a murderous-looking boy was now apologetic and regretful. Sven would gladly take any opportunity to make a friend instead of an enemy, though, no matter how warped the situation was.
"Apology accepted. Don't beat yourself up too much." Sven looked himself up and down. He was still a little sooty. "I'm still one piece, and so are you. So I don't think you've done that much wrong. Sven frowned and nodded in agreement to Curtis' last statement. He scratched his stubbly chin for a moment, trying to figure out what caused this mess. He clicked his thumb at Curtis when he had an idea.
"I think; since you're higher up on the important people list than me, she must've thought that it was you saving her, since you're the image of someone who's always been there for her in the hardest of times." Sven stared absent-minded at the ceiling, sighing in relief that things weren't going to the dogs.
Sven shrugged. "But what do I know, I study dragons, not people." He looked at the two dragons. They seemed to have resolved their conflicts out of sympathy, giving him looks as if to say 'Sorry we caused trouble. Won't happen again.'

Curtis listened to Sven, He was probably right. "Yea.." He slowly got up to his feet and looked towards Luna's room, "Might want to do somthing to keep yourself busy." He paused for a moment, "Ill try and calm Luna down." Curtis walked into Luna's room, He frowned abit and walked towards Luna's bed. He lightly sat down on the edge of hit and put his hand on Luna. He moved a little closer along the side and pulled the blanket off Luna, He looked at her. Her face was soaked with tears. He took the sleeve of his jacket and wiped the tears off Luna's cheek, "Come on.. Sit up." Curtis gently spoke and waited for her to do so. When she did Curtis got onto the bed and sat up against Luna, He put his arm around Luna and looked at her wiping her other cheek off. "Ok.. Your Alright." Curtis tried to make his voice soft as he could. "Im not mad.." Curtis waited for Luna to say somthing, She probably wouldn't becuase of her crying. "There's no need to cry.." Curtis rubbed Luna's shoulder.
